“Jackie has been great! We’ve only used her for walks so far but she has always showed up on time and used at least the full half hour. Leo always seems well exercised when I get home! She feeds him his lunch as well. :)”

“Elaina is always right on time. She communicates everything about the visit and anything she notices that is different so I always know what is going on with my dog. I know she takes great care of her”

“Chloe was so patient with our Redford. She took great care of him on walks, punctual, and is super attentive to directions. Highly recommend if you’re in need of a dog walker! Thank you, Chloe!”

“Camille is so great with Hallie! She is clearly a dog lover and Hallie loved her. She is prompt with her timing and she always sends many pictures and great communication each visit. 10/10 would recommend for anyone needing someone to walk or watch their fur baby.”

“Brittany has been such a relief for my husband and myself. Our adopted four legged Gus Bus is home for at least 10-11 hours. Brittany is his saving grace and spends time giving him snuggles and walks whenever he’s willing. She’s very punctual and very good with communicating about Gus. We’re so appreciative for the love and attention she has given our special boy.”

“I believe Maria is absolutely wonderful and has a genuine interest in the well being of my pet Hershey! I enjoy hearing her updates and shared reports on how Hershey is doing. She is detailed in that and excellent with communication and getting back to you. I would highly recommend!”

“Ariel did an amazing job with my boys! My blue heeler can be finicky around new people and take time to warm up. She took time to hang out with him until he was comfortable. They are always in a good mood when they come back from their walks so I know they had a great time! Thank you, Ariel!”

About: I’ve always had dogs my whole life and am able to build a special connection with them! I can’t wait to build connections with more dogs, cats, and other pets! I am currently a college student home for the summer with lots of free time to care for pets!! I am only working a remote internship so my schedule is very flexible! Pets are just as important as people and are family! I make sure to treat my pets and others with care and respect, while also making sure they’re having fun and behaving well! Being the owner of a high energy dog myself, I am well aware of safety considerations as well!
About: I grew up within a household with a variety of animals. At one point we had five dogs, a cat, a bunny, a guinea pig, three hamsters, 5 birds, a bearded dragon, and a gecko. I learned at a very early age how to tend to animals (clean, feed, play, walk, potty breaks, etc) I enjoy helping others and especially caring for animals. They simply bring me joy. I have open availability (other than dates marked off calendar) and am flexible to try and accommodate your schedule as best as possible in order to make things easy for you and your pet. My male husband and I own a house with a fenced in backward and a neighborhood to walk in. Since I have open availability, I have time to tend to the animals without any distractions from other tasks.

I work from home so I can prioritize your pets needs around the clock. My schedule can work seamlessly with puppies or small dogs that need frequent bathroom breaks. At home, I care for my own dog like family. I have a Frenchie who I absolutely adore, and her daily routine includes regular walks, playtime, and visits to the park so she can stay active and social. She’s very friendly, gentle, and loves being around other dogs, so she’s a great example of the calm, positive environment I aim to provide for any pets in my care

Please let me know of any special preferences for each animal as I’d like to make their experience personal for each of them and make them feel loved! I am a full time stay at home mom. I am home most of the week with exceptions of a couple daytime excursions with my daughters. Dogs fit into our daily life and are treated as one of our own. I have a huge fenced in yard with a 6 foot security fence. If your dog does best with a crate for times when they are left alone or for bedtime, please provide the crate and I’d be happy to follow your dogs normal routine.

About: I’m a local mom of two boys and a lifelong animal lover, and I’d love to help care for your pets like they’re part of our family. I know how stressful it can be to leave your pet—whether it’s for a quick trip or a longer vacation—so my goal is to make sure you feel completely at ease. I provide dependable, calm, and attentive care, with lots of updates so you always know how your pet is doing. Pet care fits very naturally into my daily routine. I’m home most days and have a flexible schedule, which allows me to plan my day around the pets I’m caring for. I’m able to provide consistent visits, walks, feeding, and attention throughout the day, and I make sure each pet stays on their normal routine as much as possible. Whether it’s morning walks, midday check-ins, or evening care, I build it into my schedule so pets feel comfortable and cared for. Because I’m not overbooked, I’m able to give each pet my full attention and make sure they feel safe, relaxed, and well cared for. I always tailor my care to each pet’s routine and personality so they feel as comfortable as possible. In a client’s home, I focus on keeping things consistent - feeding, walks, playtime, and rest all follow their normal schedule. I spend quality time with each pet so they don’t feel rushed or alone, and I’m careful to keep the home clean and secure. Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
