“Hazbleydy I. & her husband were great! My dog can be very anxious and is usually not fond of new people but she had a great time at their house. Hazbleydy kept me updated with pictures the entire time, and even went out to get supplies for my dog that had ran out of during the stay. I would highly recommend her!”

“Megan and family were so wonderful with our dog. Megan was honest, very patient, easy to communicate with and provided regular updates/photos. We highly recommend them.”

“Dawn is awesome! You can tell she deeply cares for all the animals in her care. She’s responsive, thoughtful and, overall, just a fantastic person. My dog was wiped out after playing so much. I will definitely trust her again to take care of my pet.”

“Tricia was great with Edie. She was also very flexible and went above and beyond when our flight got delayed and we had to figure out additional care on the fly. Would recommend!”

“April was a great puppy sitter. I have a 4 month old miniature poodle. HOLLY. Holly fell in love with April. I can tell Holly was very well cared for. I will be using her again. Highly recommend. I loved she sent Pics daily.”

About: I’ve been caring for pets for over 15 years and have always loved getting to know their unique personalities and routines. I’m dependable, patient, and genuinely enjoy giving pets the attention, comfort, exercise, and companionship they need. My goal is to make your pets feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. As a work-from-home mom, pet sitting fits naturally into my daily routine. My flexible schedule allows me to be available for visits, walks, feedings, and plenty of attention throughout the day. I love having pets as part of my routine and enjoy making sure they feel comfortable, cared for, and loved while their families are away. I care for every pet with patience, love, and attention to their individual routine. In my home, pets have access to an unfenced yard for supervised outdoor time and plenty of room to relax. In a client’s home, I follow their instructions closely and keep their pet comfortable in their familiar environment.
“Ryan put my mind at ease while I was traveling with work. He sent me daily pictures and video of my little guy and kept in touch with me throughout the stay. Would definitely recommend and will use for next time! ??”

“Katie was a perfect sitter for Nash! She gave him the attention and love he wanted, a great house to feel comfortable in and he almost didn’t want to leave!”

“Erin and her family took wonderful care of our dog Maddy. It was such a relief knowing Maddy was loved on and taken care of while we were out of town. She is very quickly responsive and reached out to me with pictures and updates thru out the day. Erin also accommodated us last second as our previous arrangements fell thru and even got us in for a meet and greet the same day I reached out to her. Your dog will be loved on by 5 humans, walked, and entertained while staying in Erin’s home. It is tough for us to find sitters for our dog because she is dog selective. This was the perfect arrangement for our pup and we will definitely be having our dog stay with them again!”

About: Hello! Thanks for considering me to care for your fur babies! I’m an avid animal lover and always have been! I started when I was 10 years old, my neighbors across the street had a boxer and a bull dog they would have me care for when they went on family vacations. From then on my love for pet sitting had grown. In high school I was involved with FFA & agriculture classes, especially when it came to animal sciences. I competed on a state level veterinary science FFA competition in 2017 at Murray state University, and am registered in animal nutrition. I currently have 2 dogs of my own, moose is a 2 year old Great Pyrenees, and Gracie is a 6 year old Australian shepherd. I also have a 6 year old cat, he’s an indoor only kitty! My pets are my world plus some, they make my world go round. I work from home Tues-Saturday, and my work is very independent. I only have 1 meeting a day around lunch time, with 2 15 minute breaks, and then a 30 minute lunch break. During my breaks i give my dogs potty breaks & fetch time, but im able to give them potty breaks whenever necessary! As I mentioned in my experience, I work from home! Tuesday-Friday I work 10am-6:30pm. I receive 2 paid 15 minute breaks, and a 30 minute lunch break. My work is very independent, and if needed I’m able to step away from my desk for a few minutes. During my 15’s I like to sit out on the porch and soak up some sunshine, while the dogs potty, play, or enjoy the fresh air! On my lunch break, I eat as quick as I can so I can get outside to play fetch with my Australian shepherd Gracie! My Great Pyrenees, moose, is a laid back big ol boy, he goes with the flow all day long. My Aussie gracie on the other hand, is very routine based! We feed gracie before bed time to prevent tummy upsets during the day due to her high energy. I’m very aware of how dogs can be when it comes to feeding, and I tend to feed pets separately to prevent any tiffs. I have a large fenced in yard, and 2 dogs to keep your pup company! Both of my dogs are very friendly, and very well behaved. They’re both crate trained, and we have 2 crates for them. We love toys around here, so we have lots of toys to choose from!

About: I've grown up my whole life around all sorts of animals. I've worked as a dog bather for a short period of time. I've helped a dog give birth in home. I was in a car accident recently so i am currently unemployed and flexible with many schedules. I will not work on Saturdays due to I am busy during that day for religious reasons I give my pets a pretty simple schedule for food and outdoor time. I am happy to give lots of play and pet time. I also do enjoy just sitting down a maintaining their claws and fur.

About: I am a registered nurse so I am comfortable giving any medication your dogs may need. I’ve grown up around small, medium, and large dogs and am always looking for a furry companion in need of a staycation while their humans are away. I do not currently have any pets and will not take multiple bookings so rest assured your four legged family members will be able to relax without having to make friends with others. I work full-time. But am able to board on the weekends, Friday through Sunday late afternoon pick up. I am off one day a week and so if you need a doggy daycare for the day, I am more than happy to accommodate. Since I will be off on the days that I am boarding or caring for your pet. They will have endless time on the furniture, endless cuddles and at least one walk a day. If you are in the middle of training a puppy if you give me your training routine, I will practice it with them as well. I do not have a fenced yard. So outdoor time will be leashed walks. If they are potty trained, and they are used to sleeping on the bed they can sleep in my bedroom at night. If they are not potty trained, or a little more weary of new people, they will be baby gated into my kitchen at night only which is tiled floor.
“Heather was a great rover! She provided consistent updates and always looked like Mowgli was having a great time. Really appreciate all the help. Will reach out again the future. Thanks!”

I will take them out as needed on leash, I have a large home for the animals to have their own space if needed. I’m home all day so I’ll be with them to make sure everything run smoothly
“So grateful to Heather and her kiddos for taking care of our pups at the LAST minute after two other sitters stopped responding within weeks and then days before our trip. Feels like it was meant to be - our girls have never been so quick to recover after spending time away from home. They were immediately invited in and treated as a part of the family. Can’t thank you enough!”
About: I’ve been lucky enough to be trusted with baby sitting, house sitting, and pet sitting for the past 10+ years. I pride myself on building honest and positive relationships that last and would be honored to be trusted with your home and/or animals! With a rescue pup of my own, I can promise to provide the same unconditional love and commitment to your sweeties, as I do my own. I am an educator who works part time over the summers! I also only live about 6 minutes from my part time job which gives me the opportunity to have an extremely open and flexible schedule! I am extremely observant and pay attention to detail. As an educator, it is my job to be able to multitask while also fostering emotional and comfort needs. I make sure to do everything to the fullest including following your needs and anticipating what your loved one may want/need next!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their White Oak Valley home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your White Oak Valley.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your White Oak Valley sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
