“What can I say about Christine? She was a godsend! After losing my beloved dog, I wanted to adopt another one after my family vacation. But when I saw my current puppy up for adoption, I immediately fell in love with him because he reminded me of my previous soul dog. I applied for adoption, and the shelter approved us. They allowed us to adopt my beloved Charlie if we could find a reliable dog sitter to watch him while I was away. I picked up Charlie just 2 days before my trip, and I was really worried about my brand-new, scared little puppy. But Christine went above and beyond with my baby. She stayed at my house with him the whole time, took great care of him, and gave him so much love. During my trip, she noticed he was coughing and even offered to take him to my vet — and she did. I highly recommend Christine to anyone looking for someone with the gift of caring and giving genuine love to your best friend :)”

About: I’ve been caring for pets for most of my life, helping friends, family, and neighbors with walking, feeding, bathing, and providing companionship. I’m very attentive, patient, and gentle, and I treat every pet like they’re my own. My goal is always to make pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while giving owners peace of mind. I work full time on campus, which gives me a consistent schedule along with flexibility during lunch breaks and in the evenings. This allows me to provide reliable care, check-ins, walks, and quality time with pets. I’m also available on weekends and communicate clearly to coordinate schedules that work best for you and your pet. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and routine are always my top priorities. I’m attentive, calm, and reliable, and I make sure pets are well cared for during visits, walks, and evenings. I respect your home, follow instructions closely, and communicate regularly so you feel confident your pet is in safe hands.

About: I’ve spent years caring for and training dogs, including raising and training four Australian Cattle Dogs—a breed known for its intelligence and high energy. Through that experience, I’ve learned how to read canine body language, reinforce good behaviors, and confidently handle dogs with different personalities and energy levels. I’ve also walked dogs for several of my mom’s clients throughout the Hockessin and Wilmington area. My focus is on providing safe, reliable, and personalized care while treating every dog as if they were my own. I’m currently home full-time, allowing me to provide attentive, personalized care throughout the day. Dogs in my care receive plenty of potty breaks, exercise, playtime, enrichment, affection, and supervision rather than being left alone for long periods. Your dog will be welcomed into a safe, loving home and treated like one of my own. I have a fully fenced 0.5-acre yard with plenty of room to run, play, and explore under supervision, as well as three friendly, well-socialized dogs for those who enjoy canine companionship. I also do my best to maintain each dog’s normal routine, including feeding schedules, medications, exercise, and any special instructions you provide. My goal is simple: for you to have peace of mind while you’re away and for your dog to feel safe, happy, and loved while they’re with me. I’m a Registered Nurse with a background in cardiac care and high-stress open-heart surgery, where being dependable, attentive, calm under pressure, and detail-oriented was essential every single day. After years of caring for my patients’ hearts, I’ve now been able to channel that same compassion into one of my greatest passions—dogs. I like to think I’ve gone from caring for my patients’ hearts to caring for my clients’ whole hearts—their dogs. ❤️🐾 My nursing background has shaped the way I care for animals. I take safety seriously, pay close attention to changes in behavior or well-being, follow instructions carefully, and understand the importance of medications and routines. Most importantly, I want owners to know they are leaving their dog with someone who is responsible, reliable, professional, and genuinely invested in their care.
“Brice was a fantastic sitter for our dog! She kept us updated and informed throughout her time with him. She was very attentive and took amazing care of him. We would definitely hire Brice again!”

About: With a degree in Biological Sciences/Wildlife Conservation, my approach to pet care is rooted in deep respect for animal behavior, safety, and well-being. Whether I'm staying overnight for a house sit or stopping by for walks and drop-ins, my top priority is keeping your pets calm, safe, and comfortable in their familiar routine. Most importantly, I make sure they get plenty of affection, play, and happy engagement so they have a blast while you're away! Note for house sitting and walks: I have my own pet, but he remains at home in the care of my family, so I will never bring my own dog to your home or on your pet's walks. Pet care fits seamlessly into my weekly routine, giving me great flexibility for drop-ins, walks, and house sitting. I have a fixed commitment on Monday and Wednesday afternoons from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, but my schedule is wide open outside of those hours. I can easily accommodate early morning, late afternoon, and evening routines, as well as dedicated overnight stays. Safety is my top priority when caring for your pets. I maintain a secure environment by double-checking doors and gates and closely reading animal body language. You can rely on me to strictly follow your feeding, medication, and leash protocols to keep your pet safe and comfortable.

“Nina was awesome, she was always on time when we met up, took care of Roo and the house the same way i would. House was just the way we left it. Roo definitely made a new best friend and we found out house sitter for the future, she sent us pics and updates on how things were going and she even sent pictures of the snakes. Lol. Couldn't go wrong booking with Nina if you need a house sitter, will definitely be using her in the future.”

About: What sets me apart is my patience, attention, and genuine love for pets. I take the time to understand each pet’s needs and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. I’m gentle with senior pets and patient with puppies. I work from home part-time, which allows me to be available to take good care of your pet during the day and or the night I care for pets by following their daily routine, giving them love, attention, and making sure they feel safe and comfortable. I treat every pet like my own, whether in my home or my client’s home.
“Look no further - Reid is the man! We had Reid dog sit our 2 relatively new to us bonded pair rescue dogs. The poochies had spent 2 months in a kennel waiting to be adopted, so we wanted in home care while we went away. Our flight schedules changed several times coming and going, and Reid was always available to accommodate those changes. The poochies were still adjusting to us and their new home, and were having some anxiety issues. Reid was so patient and really worked with them while we were away. When we arrived home it was obvious that they loved him and he loved them. I would not hesitate to have Reid house sit for us again, and already have plans to have him back for day visits when we are out for the day. 5 stars all the way!”

“What a delight it was to have faith watch our four year-old golden retriever! It put me at ease knowing our Doggo was being well cared for. Faith did a wonderful job with communication starting from a meet and greet all the way to letting us know when she was leaving. She went above and beyond with check-ins and photos to washing and remaking the bedbefore she left. We will definitely be using Faith again for our future trips.”

About: Hey, pet parents! I’m a proud Animal Science student at Penn State with years of experience caring for all animals great and small including dogs, cats, horses, cows, and more! With 2 dogs and 3 cats of my own, I totally get how much love our pets bring into our lives. Whether your pup needs a walk or your cat needs cuddles, I bring knowledge, reliability, and lots of tail wags. I treat every animal like family because that’s exactly what they are! As a dedicated pet owner and Animal Science student, pet care is already a major part of my daily routine! I care for my own 2 dogs and 3 cats every day, which includes feeding, walking, grooming, playtime, and managing any health or behavioral needs. I naturally structure my schedule around animal care, and it’s something I truly enjoy and prioritize. Whether it’s early morning feedings, mid-day walks, or evening cuddle sessions, caring for animals is second nature to me and I’m always happy to make space in my week to care for others’ pets with the same love and attention I give my own. When caring for pets in my own home or a client’s, I focus on creating a calm, safe, and engaging environment that matches each animal’s personality and routine. In client homes, I always follow their care instructions closely whether that’s feeding schedules, medication, preferred walking routes, or favorite toys. I keep pets on their normal routines to reduce stress and make them feel comfortable while their owners are away. For cats, I make sure litter boxes are clean, water is fresh, and they have a mix of playtime and quiet time, depending on their temperament. For dogs, I provide plenty of exercise, enrichment, and affection along with structured potty breaks and walks. I’m also experienced with senior pets and those needing medication or extra TLC. Whether I’m staying overnight, dropping in for visits, or out for a walk, I care for every pet like they’re my own attentively, gently, and with lots of love and respect!
“Terry is absolutely amazing!! I can’t say enough good things about her and how she went above and beyond in taking care of our two dogs while we were out of town. She loved and cared for them like they were her own, sending us updates and videos each day. We had an amazing vacation and was able to not worry a bit about how the dogs were adjusting - they were so happy and got so much attention with Terry!! She will be the first person we call whenever we need a sitter! Thank you Terry!!”

“I was going to be away on a 15 day vacation in Europe and concerned I wouldn’t be able to find a someone I could trust to care for my two young cats for such a long time. Any and all worries melted away when I met Jen! She is very personable, very reliable and caring. Jen sent me daily updates on my kitties interactions with her and lots of photos . I highly recommend her to care for your pet. I will definitely continue with Jen for taking care of my fur babies 😊”

About: I have taken care of dogs, my whole life whether they were my own or somebody else’s I absolutely love animals your animal will always be safe in my care and have the best time. I’m currently a stay at home mom so if I leave the house, I only leave to go to the grocery store or to grab the little one something to eat if they want it I have a huge backyard my house backs up against the woods. We are not close to the road at all. You’re dog would never be let outside alone my kids would run around in the backyard with them 💕

About: I’ve worked in the pet industry for 6 years. From working in pet stores, to grooming facilities, and pet sitting, I’ve done almost all there is to do! I love all animals and have a chihuahua of my own named Chino! I do rover, Doordash, and other gig work as my main source of income, so I set my own schedule! If you choose me to take care of your pet, I will clear my schedule to ensure they’re getting love and care the whole time! I have a spacious townhome that opens up to a very large greenbelt with no other dogs on my row, so there is plenty of space for your pet to use the restroom, run around and play, etc. I have a friendly chihuahua named Chino who loves making friends and likes any and all animals he meets!
About: Dogs have always been a big part of my life. I grew up with Border Collies and have also adopted several dogs over the years, so I'm comfortable with everything from high-energy working breeds to laid-back companions. I've also volunteered at several shelters, giving me experience with dogs of different ages, sizes, temperaments, and backgrounds. I work from home (as does my wife) so your pet will be getting consistent, attentive care. To be honest, our dog passed away last fall and we are missing the joy of being dog owners and having dogs around, but we need something a little more flexible for the time being. You are getting two sitters for the price of one and we will care for your dog as if they were our own :) As a former dog parent who has used Rover, my goal is to provide exactly what I was looking for each time I booked a walker/sitter: clear communication, limited hassle, and all of the assurances that you can rest easy and not worry...your doggo is in good hands! I work from home and call my own hours (as does my wife) so as long as we know your dog's routine we will make sure to incorporate it into our own. We have a fenced-in yard and a walking path near our home so walks are never a problem (we love walks). My wife and I both work from home so one of us will always be giving your dog attention/supervision. We have previously owned dogs who were flight risks so we have been conditioned to keep an eye out, keep doors closed, etc. We have a big fenced-in yard and have a little indoor gate/fence that we use in the house if need be to secure a hallway, etc.
About: I’ve have always had a dog & cats since I was a child. I love all pet cuddles! And meeting new friends. I have one dog and two cats at the moment. I've dog sat for my friends and coworkers when they need someone to be with their babies for nights away or random drop ins to check on them. I'm looking for a fun way to make extra money and i couldn't think of anything better then spending time with dogs & cats while doing that. I work four days a week but it’s flexible! I’m available everyday after 2pm and if I have a good enough heads up I’m available 24/7 I can give you references of people I have house/pet sat for in the past. I’m comfortable crating your pet if needed. I’m easily available on my cell phone when I am pet sitting. And I can send updates whenever you would like.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred White Hall walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in White Hall maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in White Hall choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in White Hall. On Rover:
- 98% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 93% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
