But when I saw my current puppy up for adoption, I immediately fell in love with him because he reminded me of my previous soul dog. I applied for adoption, and the shelter approved us. They allowed us to adopt my beloved Charlie if we could find a reliable dog sitter to watch him while I was away. I picked up Charlie just 2 days before my trip, and I was really worried about my brand-new, scared little puppy. But Christine went above and beyond with my baby. Kathleen did a wonderful job taking care of our animals (3 dogs) and did some extra cleanup for us. She sent us pics and took some extra time to not only watch after the guinea pigs, hamster and mouse, but even cleaned out their stinky cages. It was obvious that the dogs were comfortable with her. Thanks Kathleen. We appreciate all you did for us.

About: I have been around and taken care of different pets since I was young. Often I pet/house sit for family/friends while they are on vacation but I have recently started watching dogs in my own home while the owners are away. I have watched dogs ranging from Cane Corso to Shih Tzu as well as several cats, hamsters and fish. I prefer to pet sit in the owners home so the pets are less stressed but will do everything I can to make them feel comfortable in my own home. I live on 4 acres that are not fenced in so if you or your dog are not okay with that I will make sure they are leashed anytime they are outside. I do have cats but they are in a separate part of the house where your pet will have no access with. I am always open to any questions or suggestions! I work full time typically from Monday to Friday. It’s usually 8-4 but can range from 4am to midnight. I will always let you know ahead of time what my schedule is or if you require something specific I’m willing to try to work something out. I have a lab that is crate trained if your dog is lonely they can go together or be in crates next to each other. The dogs will also never be alone or outside together without supervision. As for your own home I have no issue with pictures/FaceTime or cameras being in the house. I have a law enforcement background and my only concern is to care for your pets and make sure the house is secure when I leave.

About: Ive taken care of many animals my whole life ive owned a few dogs one of which was born deaf and i had one who went blind at an early age so i know how to handle special need dogs and other pets and have been dog-sitting and cat-sitting for many people since I was 12, I love all animals and will take care of them as if they were my own. I am experienced with young puppies and senior dogs. I am also experienced with dogs that suffer from separation anxiety. I am also very good at sending lots of pictures and daily updates of your fur babies! I am currently working part time at a med spa and I make my own schedule so I will have plenty of flexible time in my day to spend with your pets for whenever you need. I have 2 dogs of my own at home although I do not offer other pets to stay at my home due to having a sensitive senior dog of my own who was born deaf and is now partially blind. I will however be able to stay at your home with your fur babies and even do overnight and extended visits for however long you will need them to be watched. I also will clean up any mess your pets will make because I know how chaotic it may be so please leave out any cleaning supplies I may need.

Kaylee was an absolute BLESSING! Our dog is a rescue and a little shy and nervous of new people, situations. She did AMAZING with him. We had several bad storms during her stay and she sat with him and snuggled him to soothe him throughout. She was in tune to his emotions and absolutely put him first in every situation without hesitation! He was a very happy boy and we could NOT have asked for a better experience! She also took very good care of the house and communicated with pics and videos every day. She is THE BEST!!

About: Hey, pet parents! I’m a proud Animal Science student at Penn State with years of experience caring for all animals great and small including dogs, cats, horses, cows, and more! With 2 dogs and 3 cats of my own, I totally get how much love our pets bring into our lives. Whether your pup needs a walk or your cat needs cuddles, I bring knowledge, reliability, and lots of tail wags. I treat every animal like family because that’s exactly what they are! As a dedicated pet owner and Animal Science student, pet care is already a major part of my daily routine! I care for my own 2 dogs and 3 cats every day, which includes feeding, walking, grooming, playtime, and managing any health or behavioral needs. I naturally structure my schedule around animal care, and it’s something I truly enjoy and prioritize. Whether it’s early morning feedings, mid-day walks, or evening cuddle sessions, caring for animals is second nature to me and I’m always happy to make space in my week to care for others’ pets with the same love and attention I give my own. When caring for pets in my own home or a client’s, I focus on creating a calm, safe, and engaging environment that matches each animal’s personality and routine. In client homes, I always follow their care instructions closely whether that’s feeding schedules, medication, preferred walking routes, or favorite toys. I keep pets on their normal routines to reduce stress and make them feel comfortable while their owners are away. For cats, I make sure litter boxes are clean, water is fresh, and they have a mix of playtime and quiet time, depending on their temperament. For dogs, I provide plenty of exercise, enrichment, and affection along with structured potty breaks and walks. I’m also experienced with senior pets and those needing medication or extra TLC. Whether I’m staying overnight, dropping in for visits, or out for a walk, I care for every pet like they’re my own attentively, gently, and with lots of love and respect!

About: I have been surrounded by dogs my whole life, and I got my first dog at 16. My dog is a mastiff mix, who was unfortunately a covid puppy, leaving her with little socialisation, causing her to be reactive around other animals. We have both been learning from each other everyday and I have been working with and training her since she was a puppy. Throughout the years she has gotten much more confident in herself; even having dog friends now and a younger puppy sister. I have also worked with senior dogs, adminstering medication as needed and helping assist with activities. I have worked with other animals as well, of all different sizes, so I am confident in my ability to read body language and take care of the dogs as needed I am a full-time college student, who is working part-time, and with a chaotic schedule, finding a job for a business is difficult due to my availibilty. I have several animals of my own, making spending time and taking care of them the highlight of my day. I love and treat animals just as the family they are, so when working with others animals, it feels like more of a reward than a job, which I feel is crucial when being a full-time college student and trying to make a living. All of my animals are family and are treated as such, so when taking care of others dogs, I treat them with the same mindset; providing care, love, fun and respect.

About: Pet lover ready to provide your pets with all of the needs and love they need! I have been dog sitting consistently for the past 4 years and have my own two kitties since then as well! I have taken care of horses, fish, snakes. Etc! Depending on the location I can care for pets during the week and make sure they get their potty needs out of the way during lunch time and once I am done at work. Afternoons and weekends are also super doable! My cats are indoor kitties and are only allowed on the deck, however I will care for the owners pets as they would like me to care for them. Some dogs are better cared for on a leash others are free to roam and others have fences! That all depends on the pet owner but I will respect whatever they choose.

SUPER🤩 This was our first time using Michaela, and she was absolutely wonderful! She watched our 5 year old lab at our home for a week and did a fabulous job with her. Cali is a very active and energetic lab. She followed her schedule and met Cali’s needs. Michaela made sure that her needs were met by getting her outside a few times during the day to play fetch with her frisbee and tennis ball, along with taking her on her walks. And not only that, Cali has a bit of anxiety at times and Michaela made sure she was loved and got the attention she needed while we were away. Michaela did check-ins and sent pictures daily( morning and evening). Michaela is very professional, caring and super friendly plus, she actually had more questions for us about Cali then we did for her, which was super impressive. She took notes about Cali starting with what her daily routine is like, her eating schedule, activities she likes, her behaviors etc. You name it, she asked it. My husband and I just knew after meeting with her, that she would be perfect taking care of Cali because you could just tell that she genuinely cares about your pet and their needs. We also felt super comfortable allowing her care for Cali and be in our home. We were so happy to find a kind, friendly, professional and trustworthy person to take care of Cali. Also, I am a bit of a clean freak and I can tell you, that my house was left the same way I left it….looked like she was never there, spotless! We were also having bad storms while we were away, so I texted Michaela about a few outside things on our deck that needed to be taken care of and she made sure it was all taken care of as well. A breaker tripped while she stayed with Cali, so she texted us the issue and we were able to call her and help get it resolved. Like I said before very professional, caring and kind. Her communication and dedication of care not only for our dog but our home was truly amazing. We will definitely be using Michaela’s services again and highly recommend.

About: Hi! I’m an experienced animal lover who has worked hands on in an animal shelter for many years. I have experience caring for both cats and dogs of all ages, including animals with medical needs, behavioral challenges, and special routines. I offer drop in visits, dog walks, house sitting, and boarding, with light grooming available for an additional fee. I’m comfortable giving medications, following detailed care instructions, and taking the extra time needed to make your pets feel safe and comfortable while you’re away. For boarding, I do ask that dogs are cat tolerant. I have three medically challenged cats of my own and regularly foster cats and dogs, so my home is very animal focused and used to having furry visitors! Your pets will be treated like family, with plenty of attention, patience, and individualized care. 🐾❤️ Pet care is already a big part of my everyday life! I work as a Cattery Caretaker at an animal shelter, so I’m around animals and caring for them throughout my workday. Outside of work, I have my own cats and regularly foster cats and dogs, so I’m very used to making time for feeding, cleaning, medications, walks, enrichment, and giving each animal individual attention. Currently working Full time! I have a fenced-in yard where dogs can safely get outside time and play. I’m also comfortable following each pet’s individual routine, including feeding schedules, medications, walks, playtime, and any special instructions. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I’m respectful of their space and focus on keeping their normal routine as consistent as possible. My goal is to make pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while their owners are away.

I’m very attentive, patient, and gentle, and I treat every pet like they’re my own. My goal is always to make pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while giving owners peace of mind. I’m also available on weekends and communicate clearly to coordinate schedules that work best for you and your pet. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and routine are always my top priorities. About: I have over 30 years in pet care industry. I Have raised , trained and shown dogs for over 15 years. I was a groomer for 10 + years. I have managed an animal shelter and took in many rescues. Pets are my life and love my job very much. I can administer medications including injections. I look forward to meeting new clients as well as caring for existing clients. I am a full time caregiver. My kids are all grown and on their own so I have plenty of time to spend with your furbaby. I have two separate fenced in yards for outdoor playtime activity. I live in a mobile home community. The entire property is privacy fenced backed with chain link for double security. There is plenty of space for all size dogs to exercise. I have the ability to spend one on one time with your pet or group play other dogs of similar temperament and size. I am experience in doggy daycare settings with 20 plus dogs at one time. I look forward to caring for your precious baby the way I would want my own pups cared for. I work from home and have a very flexible schedule that allows plenty of time to spend with your fur baby. All of our guests have a great time during their stay. Please note: If you are 30 minutes or more past your selected drop off time and you have not reached out to us we will consider this a no show. After an hour with no communication your spot will no longer be available. Communication is extremely important as is punctuatality. We plan our time based on your choices on drop off and pick up times. We do not sit around all day waiting for you to decide to show up or not. It's extremely frustrating for us when there is lack of communication. Thank you for understanding. I have a 6ft high privacy fenced in yard. I separate my personal dogs except for a couple that love to play with other dogs. We do not require meet greets. If you absolutely feel it is necessary we have a limited time slot of 15 minutes and will only accommodate if we have the availability. If you are 5 or more minutes late you will have to reschedule. We take time away from our guests and private time from our families to offer this service. Due to most dogs being temperamentally different when owners are present verses in their absence it really isn't a necessary action to determine your pups stay. I will introduce other dogs only when a new guests has become comfortable with me and my husband. Then we introduce one at a time. This can sometimes take an hour or a day depending on the individual. We require dogs to be crate trained as we crate all dogs even our own for feeding, sleeping and if we need to leave the house. We have a family member that lives in our home. He is there 24/7 so your pup is never left alone. I spend as much time out doors playing with our guests as possible, weather permitting. Indoors is more of quiet time. I do allow guest on the furniture so if that is not something permitted at please let me know. Please be aware this is MY home not a public facility. There may be crates set up in the Livingroom for current guests. I provide toys, bedding, crates and bowls. All crates have a water bucket. You will be required to provide food, treats and medications if needed No pick ups and drops off before 5:00 am and after 8:00 pm. Please schedule your dates accordingly. Please try to stick to your requested pick up and drop off times. While I am flexible I do make plans around the times you selected. If you need to change those times please try to give advance notice so I can plan accordingly. Communication is imperative to have a successful client relationship.

About: I’ve always loved caring for animals and have experience with a variety of pets! I regularly dog sit and provide dog walks, and I also have experience horse sitting. I’ve cared for smaller animals as well, including having a pet hedgehog of my own. I’m comfortable following specific routines, giving pets plenty of attention, and making sure they feel safe, happy, and cared for while you’re away! I’m currently a full-time college student, so my schedule varies by day. On school days, I’ll typically be away from home for about 6–8 hours at a time. About: I've taken care of dogs of every kind since my high school days. I love caring for and building relationships with dogs because they are truly like your best friend when they get to know and love you. Currently I work from home and for the most part make my own schedule every day. I am looking to build loving relationships with every pet that I care for so every owner can confidently put their trust in me to bring their furry friends back to me anytime they need me to take care of them. Me and my husband love dogs! We have a doggy park inside of our residence as well as a lovely community of people who walk their dogs everyday I’m sure your pet will meet some friends as we go out for walks and play at the park. Please let me know if you have any special food or any other request that you need me to accommodate to ensure that your furry baby is okay so I can be prepared as much as I can to welcome them into our home. I make my own schedule every day so i am pretty much free Monday through Sunday each week. I will make sure I update the time slots that are booked as clients start scheduling their appointments. All small and medium-sized dogs will be more than welcomed to roam freely around my living room kitchen area and are allowed to sit and lay on the couches as well. The floors are hardwood so even if they have an accident of pooping or peeing on the floor it will be alot easier for me to clean up on the hard floors than the carpeted areas. They will be allowed to come into my bedroom or any other room as long as I am in the room supervising them. I will take them outside to potty every 2 hours timed from the time they arrive until their scheduled time of leaving. You can feel free to bring their favorite toys they love to play with but I will also be purchasing brand new toys that I'm sure your dogs/cats will love to play with.

FAQs for House Sitting - Wilwon Woods

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Wilwon Woods on Rover is $49.95 per night (as of September 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of September 2026, there are 964 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Wilwon Woods. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Wilwon Woods walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Wilwon Woods maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Wilwon Woods choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
