About: I have been surrounded by dogs since birth and wouldn't have it any other way. I'm happy to care for your dog's general wellbeing, as well as to spoil them in your absence! I am a work-from-home High School teacher, so I am available 24/7 to spoil your dog! We have an invisible fence and an extra receiver for those who prefer their dog can run around. If you prefer, I can also leash your dog for backyard adventures. We love hiking and neighborhood walks, which I can schedule for your pet, per your preferences. I have 2 dogs, who can be separated from yours, as needed. I have .5 acres, surrounded by an invisible fence with an extra receiver, but can also leash your dog, if you prefer. Leashes are used on all walks and a doggie seat belt will be used in the event that we need to travel by car.

About: I have years of experience with dogs across all sizes, energy needs and care needs! I’m very fond of all critters and can’t wait to help you out! I’m working part-time over the summer and a fellowship (32 hrs/week) into the 26-27 year, but I’m very available to provide care— just send me a message! About: I have lived with dogs all of my life and have been taking care of my sweet puppy for 3 years! I am happy to do drop-in visits and walks in your neighborhood. I will be home most of the day this summer and can pop in most weekday and weekend mornings, afternoons, and evenings. I am a music teacher, so my summers have plenty of availability weekdays and weekends. Happy to do repeat check-ins and regular walks in your neighborhood! About: I’ve been around pets for most of my life. Starting when I would take care of my family fishes when I was younger. Then, later, with our family dog, a tiny Maltese named Lucy! As of late, I’ve spent my time watching over my friends’ two kitties, as well as helping them with their dog sits when they need an extra hand! I am currently a full-time student at JMU. I have plenty of availability during the summer, and when the school year begins, weekday nights, and weekends! By being friendly and gentle, I hope to create a safe and fun atmosphere for your pet(s)! I am communicative and reliable, and will always make sure to give you updates and photos, so you can see how your pets are doing when you are away!

About: I’ve cared for animals most of my life, with decades of hands-on experience, starting with gerbils and my first Siamese cat when I was nine. I’ve also had parakeets for several years, and I’ve continued helping care for pets for friends, family, and within my community. I’ve always liked the different qualities animals bring, cats with their emotional honesty and dogs with their energy and engagement. I also notice how they relate to the world in their own ways, dogs tend to look for connection and interaction, cats move more on their own terms, and horses are often more tuned in to their surroundings and quick to respond when something feels off. Keeping that in mind helps me adjust my approach so each one feels comfortable and understood. As a young adult, I worked a couple summers in a dog kennel, where my interest in obedience, canine behavior, and training really took off and grew from there. I also spent several summers at horse camp early on, where I gained hands-on experience with horse care, handling, and stable routines. I’ve always enjoyed riding horseback, and still do when I can. Those early experiences shaped how I approach animals today. I’m naturally more at ease with animals, calm, steady, and patient, and I’m attentive to how they communicate and what they need. The first dogs I had of my own were a street-mix, Ringo, then a Giant Schnauzer and later a Husky mix, Harley, and in more recent years, my best buddy, Achy, was a Jack Russell Terrier. Caring for him through different stages of life deepened my understanding of attentive, consistent care. With my Schnauzer, Bella, I trained and competed in obedience, which gave me a strong appreciation for structure, consistency, and clear communication. Some of my animals were adopted, while others I raised from puppyhood, which gave me experience with both early training and supporting animals as they settle into new environments. Friends and family have often relied on me. Over time, I’ve learned that each animal has its own personality, comfort level, and needs, especially when their routine changes, and I do my best to keep things as familiar and steady as possible. My experience includes: • Daily care, feeding, walks, play, companionship • Supporting anxious, sensitive, or high-energy pets • Keeping routines consistent • Reinforcing basic training and boundaries • Basic first aid for dogs and cats (minor wounds, claw injuries, and general care) • Grooming and brushing, including tick checks and removal (and basic hoof care for horses) • Care for small animals, birds and fish, including cage cleaning and basic aquarium upkeep I take a calm, patient approach and don’t rush interaction. I allow trust to build naturally so pets feel secure and comfortable while you’re away. I’m comfortable caring for dogs, cats, and small animals such as rodents, birds, and ferrets. At this time, I don’t offer care for reptiles or arachnids. I also have experience with horses from years of riding, and while it’s been some time, I’m comfortable assisting with basic care. At home, I currently care for a senior rescue cat, Aggy, which keeps me mindful of the extra patience and attention older animals often need. I’m comfortable with routine care such as eye drops, tablets, and grooming or brushing. For injections, IVs, or more advanced medical care, I recommend working with a veterinary professional. While I’m new to Rover, caring for animals has been a consistent part of my life. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and wellbeing are always my priority. I am self-employed and currently work part-time, which gives me flexibility in my daily and weekly schedule. I’m able to plan pet care around the needs of the pet owner and provide reliable, attentive care. I provide care in the pet owner’s home to keep things familiar and comfortable for the pet. My visits typically include up to four shorter potty breaks throughout the day, along with a longer walk and evening care. Overnight stays follow a consistent routine to support a sense of safety and stability, as both dogs and cats tend to feel more at ease with familiar patterns. During each visit, I make sure pets are fed, have fresh water, get appropriate exercise, and receive calm, attentive companionship. I follow care instructions closely, keep an eye on behavior and overall wellbeing, and provide regular photo and video updates so you can feel at ease while you’re away. I’m respectful of your home and routines, and I’m happy to take care of small details, such as watering houseplants, if requested.

About: I’ve grown up around animals my entire life and have had dogs of my own for as long as I can remember, so caring for pets has always been second nature to me. While I may be new to Rover professionally, I bring years of hands-on experience with dogs of different ages, personalities, and energy levels. As a college volleyball coach, I’m dependable, active, organized, and used to maintaining routines and building trust — qualities that carry over naturally into pet care. I’m very patient and attentive, whether that means keeping up with an energetic puppy, making sure a dog gets plenty of exercise and playtime, or giving extra attention and gentle care to older pets. I know how important it is to feel confident leaving your pet with someone else, so I prioritize communication, consistency, and treating every dog like they’re my own. Pet care fits very naturally into my routine because I’m already used to being active, structured, and consistent in my day-to-day life. As a college volleyball coach, especially during the summer, I have a very flexible schedule and spend a lot of time working from home, which allows me to give pets plenty of attention, supervision, and time throughout the day. I enjoy staying active, so walks, playtime, and outdoor time with dogs are something I genuinely enjoy incorporating into my routine. I’m also used to balancing responsibilities and maintaining schedules, which helps me stay dependable with feeding times, potty breaks, exercise, and overall care. Since I’ve grown up with dogs my entire life, caring for animals has always been a natural part of my daily life Whether caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home, I focus on creating a safe, comfortable, and stress-free environment while keeping pets on the routine they’re used to. I make sure they get plenty of attention, exercise, playtime, bathroom breaks, fresh water, meals on schedule, and of course lots of affection and care. I also understand how important trust is when someone is leaving their pet — and potentially their home — in someone else’s care. I take cleanliness, organization, and respecting other people’s homes very seriously. I always make sure spaces are kept clean and tidy, follow any instructions closely, and treat both pets and homes with the same care and respect I would expect for my own. Communication is also very important to me, so I like to keep owners updated with messages and photos so they can feel comfortable and connected while they’re away

About: My husband and I have rescued several dogs for many years. We had 8 elderly dogs at one point in our home. We currently have 3 dogs, which are walked many times a day. I currently work close to home, and am able to stay over at a client’s home if need be. I also have two grown daughters that would love to help walk dogs or cats and take care of them, provide attention and just spend time with them playing in the house. I am very responsible, am a professional careeer woman just seeking to make a little extra money doing something I love, being with animals. I can certainly provide personal references. I am currently working full-time Monday through Friday, but I am able to pet sit or house sit after work as well as on the weekends. I prefer the dogs I sit for to have harnesses instead of collars, as they provide more security. I also do light housekeeping in the home if requested.
