It has always been tough finding a dog sitter that is mutually compatible with Apollo (The Dane). Elissa was great with the boys. Apollo is usually slow to warm up to people but he seemed to enjoy her right away. Definitely trust her to watch the boys when we’re out of town.”

About: I’ve been pet sitting for family, friends, and strangers since I was a freshman in high school. No matter the job and tasks required I’ve always been reliable in getting things done! I’m currently in graduate school to become an athletic trainer, so a full-time job doesn’t fit well with my class schedules. I would very much like to fit in some work or pet care between my classes and clinical experience! I’m a quick learner when it comes to new locations, different types of leashes, crates, etc. I’m willing to travel almost anywhere near me and have no problem making several visits a day or staying at the home to care for pets.

About: I've taken care of dogs for about 6 years or more through house sitting, dog walking, and overall just a love for dogs! I have one dog at home and she is the love of my life! I currently am a JMU student and a part time worker at the mall. I'm looking to not only give back to the community but also get some experience with animals and people! My job is pretty flexible and I feel that I can work with the majority of schedules for you and your pet! I will always keep an eye on your pet and make sure that they feel comfortable with me and my actions as well as communicating with you as much as needed as well. In general, how you and your pet feel is the most important thing.

He even sent update photos and stripped the guest bed to make our lives easy the next day. We will call him again for sure!”

“Kat did a terrific job. This was a short trip (24 hours) and almost all of the rover sitters who said that they were available, once notified that it was a short trip, had some sort of conflict. I get it - moving into a house for 24 hours isn't very efficient. But Kat didn't blink an eye, asked a lot of good questions ahead of time, and I came home to a happy dog.”

About: I’ve been raised with all kinds of cats and dogs for my whole life, I’ve even helped with pregnancy! I’m the perfect amount of calm and playful to suit your animals needs! :) I’m currently trying to find a part time job, so I should be available during the evenings or mornings! I’m also taking care of a mama cat and her babies right now so I’ve got quite the pawful! To be completely truthful, I have a little more experience with cats but i usually give my dog Bella car rides (she doesn’t like walks) and plenty of play time! ( when she wants it, she’s extremely lazy) so I’ll of course be able to do that for pets!!

About: I have been a dog owner my whole life and am very accustomed to the skills and care that are necessary to fostering a healthy relationship with a pup! I have also acted as a pet sitter for several families throughout high school and college and done everything from administering medication to just going on walks! I’m currently a grad student at JMU, so I’ll have lots of time/intervals during the day to play with pups and take care of them. I provide consistent and careful attention so that I can anticipate and recognize your dog’s needs! I also give lots of pets and play time :)
