She has been patient, understanding, and willing to work with them where they are at. Throughout my five-day trip, I received ample photos and videos which I loved. About: I have over 10 years of hands-on experience working with animals in professional settings, including equestrian rescue centers, animal shelters, and veterinary hospitals as a veterinary assistant. I graduated from UC Davis with a wildlife biology degree. I now work as a field biologist gathering data on marine endangered species. I also occasionally transport at-risk dogs on the euthanasia list from high-kill shelters to safe rescues and foster homes. I have experience handling and training reactive dogs, including fostering and rehabilitating them, so I’m very comfortable recognizing body language and respecting boundaries. I absolutely love all breeds and sizes! Regarding my own pets, I have a Newfoundland and two bunnies :) -- I grew up with many cats too! April 3-6 I can take care of your pets any time of the day and however many times a day you'd like. April 7-17, I work the day shift so I can take care of or walk them either before 6am and/or anytime after 6pm. Safety of the pets at the client’s home is always most important. I am more than happy to take photos and send them to you throughout the visit!

About: Being an MBU student gives me the flexibility for mid day walks and night time visits. I am attentive, kind, and love all the cuddles! I am looking forward to serving your pet needs, as I’ve done for friends and neighbors since I was young! I am currently in a full time doctorate program, so I am in class during the day. I am looking for part-time meetings or drop ins, when necessary. If further commitment is needed, I am happy to discuss this with you! I am more than happy to play with, walk, or entertain your pet. I am here to make sure your animals stay happy and healthy while you are gone. I have experience walking 80-85 lb dogs and am able to control the walk as appropriate.

About: I have taken care of multiple animals throughout my life, mainly elder neighbors who cannot fully take care of their animals because of scheduling conflicts. I prefer overnight visits and stays just to ensure no schedules are disrupted. I currently attend UVA full-time as a Master's Student, and work Saturday nights at a restaurant in Cville. But I always make time for the animals in my life! I have a fenced-in yard, I walk dogs either for short 15/20 minutes, or a longer (5 miles) depending on a breed's needs and requirements. Otherwise, we can lounge and play with toys together.

About: I have always had dogs in my life. My parents chose our first dog, a blue healer, after their honeymoon. I was three. Skeeter and I would tromp through the woods often. We moved to the Middle East when I was 9, and we had to give her to another family, but when we returned, we were contacted by the family: they were moving and wondered if we would like her back. It was a very happy reunion. She passed away when I was 18. In my third year of college, I decided to get a dog of my own. It was a dumb idea because I didn't have the forethought to think about how being a dogowner would limit my housing options over the next 10 years. Baloo was a German shepherd mix. He was a rescue from a Native American reservation in AZ, what we call a "res dog". He and I had several adventures over the decade I could call him mine. He passed away a little over two years ago, and I still miss him now. These days, I am mom to Benedict and Tigerlily. Benny is a sweet old rescue from California. He is likely part pitbull, and part sharpei. He's a sweetheart, super chill with my kids, and loves to walk the trails behind my house. Tigerlily Is a baby baby. The two of them are inseparable. I work from home and have my kids 3-5 nights / week. We love all the dogs and love to take them on walks through the woods and to the park. I provide a chill space where dogs feel like they can relax and trust that someone will come along soon to scritch their ears. I have a great neighborhood for walking and a large unfenced backyard.

I specialize in social psychology and I am intuitive to human and animal needs. As mentioned, I am an adjunct professor, write, and do photography. As such I have free time to care for your pet daily and at various times. I have always cared for my pets like family (and some may argue a little better, lol). I have a SUV and know different locations to walk your pet, or I can walk them locally. I also love cats and can spend time in your home playing with with them and the infamous red dot or other toys. I am also familiar with all types of animals and can care for your farm animals and other in door animals.

About: I am comfortable with all kinds of dogs and needs. I personally care for a GSD and a Heeler mix, and am comfortable with rambunctious and large dogs. Both of my dogs practice loose leash walking, and I love using our walks as time to tire their brains as well as their bodies. I can give medications, including subq and other injections. And I’m working on becoming a certified trainer, but for now I do not offer training services. I work a few part time gigs that change with the seasons. I have lots of flexibility to meet the needs of your pets. I generally do not go out of town during major holidays. I have lived on estates as a property manager, and ran my own home repair business for several years. I’m good at handling emergencies, and enjoy fixing things when I have the opportunity
