About: Hi Loving Furparents, My lifelong passion is interspecies communication, animal care & behavior, ecology, and environmental conservation. I have grown up communicating, training/learning, caretaking, and translating for animals my entire life, and I continue to follow my passion for animal care, rehabilitation, conservation, and helping others learn to listen and communicate with animals. I have recently lost my soul dog and partner of nearly 16 years to osteosarcoma. I have experience learning life lessons our senior friends teach us; to slow down, smell the wildflowers, enjoy the little things in life, lead with empathy, lend a helping hand to one another, and be grateful for the moment we have together. I have experience with caretaking during mobility issues for both animals, using help-em-up harnesses and wheelchairs. Additionally, I have awareness and understanding of training needs when the human is afflicted with chronic illness and mobility impairments, such as helping the animal to learn and be mindful of unsteadiness, fall prevention, etc. My current SDiT and I are working on counterbalance, DPT, crowd guarding, behavior interruptions, and some preliminary scent work. Additional Background of Experience; I grew up in the area with a variety of species throughout the years, from cats & dogs to horses, rodents, fish, chickens & guinea fowl to turtles, etc. This experience came with interspecies management, learning to hand-rear animals, helping animals learn core life skills, assess and rehab injury, hospice care, etc. Later, I completed a multidisciplinary degree from WVU with concentrations in Wildlife Management and Conservation Ecology. At WVU, I completed curriculum including a Service Dog Training course where the dog I worked with (Gretel) graduated the following year to become a certified therapy dog at Chestnut Ridge. Additional courses included Animal Behavior, Equine Hoof and Limb, Equine Assisted Therapy, and Exotic Animal Medicine, among others. Since graduating, I have compiled formal experience working with both domestic animals, wildlife and protection of their habitat. I had the privilege to work abroad in Botswana, Africa at game reserves where we were able to rehabilitate animals, provide game drives, supplemental feeding etc., and interned at Mokolodi Nature Reserve in Botswana, Africa, caring for animals in rehabilitation. I currently work full-time, which unfortunately limits my availability to primarily evenings and weekends at this time. Well-behaved, socialized dogs may be able to join during office work days. I am considering transitioning to full-time animal training, should it be feasible, which may allow for additional availability in the future. Additionally, I am navigating chronic illness after long covid through schedule modification and mindful movement during caretaking. Thank you for your understanding schedule limitations during this transition. Please communicate with me your dogs needs i.e.; whether your pet has separation anxiety, medical needs or food allergies, usual routines that make them feel safe, enrichment or husbandry that helps positively stimulate them mentally and emotionally, triggers to be mindful of/avoid, whether they have off leash recall or there are chase drive trigger concerns and they must stay leashed at all times, and anything else you feel is relevant so we may collaborate on their care plan to provide them the best support. I do have a large crate available for dogs that are most comfortable with crate training when it is necessary to leave them at home. Our geriatric cat Fluffy lives in the home with us (please alert me to dogs that have not been socialized with cats), there is a rescue parrot in the household, and I have a ~55 lb rescue and SDIT who is very friendly and loves having someone to play and run around in the yard with. She was a family member to my geriatric dog with mobility concerns before his passing, and she has experience with older dogs and cats.

About: New to Rover, but not new to dog sitting :) I have several years of experience taking care of dogs, of all ages & breeds! I moved from Maine to WV and now have the time to be a dog sitter again! My overall love for animals and the ability to connect with them, makes me a safe and reliable sitter for your pup :) We have two open acres of grass for your dog to run around and play and a large tile floor sun room (with AC) for them to stay. My Great Dane stays in the sunroom in a playpen when she isn’t playing with chipmunks outside! If you prefer your dog to be on leash when outside-no problem! I can accommodate to your dogs’ needs! I have a 9 yr old female Great Dane who is real sweet & fully trained to my commands. She stays in a playpen in the AC, tiled sunroom with your pup. Your pup will have the one-on-one care that he/she needs while you are away. Fresh water will always be present :) My main goal is to keep every dog I care for safe & happy!

About: I have always had a big heart for pets. This includes cats and dogs. I enjoy being around them, feeding them, and cleaning after them. I work full time for a nonprofit, but have flexibility. I’m mostly available on Fridays-Mondays. I currently care for doggies and cats in my own home. My doggy is on a feeding schedule and get regular walks. He enjoys playing tug-a-war with me and enjoys having me the one to fetch his toys. I easily get along with animals and enjoy playing and exercising them.

About: I am a teacher with 15 years experience in education working with young children and their families. I am married with two wonderful children in elementary and high schools. We have two cats and one dog who keep our home full of love and lots of fur! I cannot think of a single time in my life when I didn’t have a pet. I’ve cared for pets and tiny humans for most of my adult life and would love to make your life easier by helping care for yours! I am a full-time teacher and mom so my availability consists of early mornings/late evenings, weekends, holidays and summers! I have reliable all-wheel drive transportation during the winter. I’ll follow whatever agreed upon directives given to me when it comes to caring for your pet! I can do as little or as much as you need!

About: Hi my name is Heather. I am an evening part time cashier and have been married to a wonderful guy for 16 years. I love to travel and have recently started visiting baseball stadiums as a new hobby. I have several years of caring experience with canines as I have four little fur kids of my own 1-Chihuahuas (male-Jack) 1- Tomcat (Murphy) and 1- Female kitten (Lady). I also care for my sisters dachshund (Ryder) when they go out of town for long weekends. I’ve been around canines my whole life and have enjoyed every encounter that I’ve had with them. I have flexible availability as you can see by my profile. I am willing to meet any potential clients and their fur babies to see how well they interact with me prior to any commitments and bookings. I work as a part time cashier in the evenings. My husband gets home roughly 3-4 hours after I leave for work during the week and home most weekends. I have a fenced in back yard with plenty of running space- stands about 5 foot high. Also have a gated deck that my kids run around on during nice weather days.

About: I worked at a humane society for a bit bathing, playing, and walking the dogs. Also cleaning out cages. I have owned dogs my whole life and currently have two inside dogs. I am working a part-Time job, so I will have lots of time to play with the pups! I take care of two dogs right now and a cat so they will fit good into my schedule! I have an unfenced yard, but lots of property for the dogs to play! I have 2 dogs so your pup will have other furry friends to play with!

She was very accommodating when it came to drop off and pick up times. During our 2 dogs stay she kept us updated through the day with how they were doing along with plenty of pictures to put us at ease that they were very well taken care of. She truly treated them as her own. Our young lab and pit mix pup are full of energy and can be a handful and that didn’t bother her. I’d feel completely safe leaving them with her again and if we’re ever in the area again we’ll definitely be booking thru her!”

About: I have six dogs of my own, I have been an AKC breeder since 2009, and I would love the opportunity to spoil your pets while you are away. I have lots of time, love, and a nice facility for them. I currently work part-time, I am away 2 1/2 hours in the morning and again 2 1/2 hours in the afternoon. I am a bus driver and off for the holidays, weekends and summer. I have very strong 10 x 10 kennels set up outside with a 10 x 30 run. And I have a heated and air-conditioned building that will allow me to house 10 pups at a time. I have cots, puzzle feeders, and lots of toys and space to play.

About: I lost my beagle baby girl a year and a half ago, and I would love to give your pet the same care and attention as her. I have experience walking, nail trimming, administering medication, and assisting with mobility issues. I love all animals and would happily welcome yours into my home. I am looking to provide dog walking/quick visit services on weekdays after my work, and boarding services on weekends when I’m off. While in my care, your pet will have my diligent attention and care. I have a big yard for running and playing. It is not fenced, but I can utilize tethers to give them room to move around under supervision. I will make it my top priority to love your pet and follow your care instructions.

About: I’ve had dogs and cats my entire life! I’ve dealt with roles such as training for younger dogs and extensive care for seniors. I’m comfortable with large dogs and I also have experience administering insulin to diabetic animals. I currently have 2 dogs and 1 cat, so pet care plays a huge role in my life! What I do and where I go fully revolves around my pets, so please expect me to show the same care for yours! My yard is large, but not fenced, so if your dog is a runner please keep that in mind. I have a stream in my yard for your babies that like playing in the water and both of my dogs are very active and playful. My cat however, is not fond of other kitties. If watching your pets in your home, my primary concern is making them feel comfortable and allowing them to burn off some energy while you’re away.

About: I am an experienced and responsible pet owner and I realize pet owning is a life long commitment. I consider my pets as members of the family that are spoiled. I am a special education teacher so I am available to offer pet care Monday-Friday in the evenings and anytime on Saturday and Sunday. I am also available for pet care on holidays. I own approximately 2 acres that allow pets to run in a safe environment. I also live on a country road that is perfect for dog walking. I can also crate your dog if needed. I allow my small dog on the furniture and in my bed. My big dog has a large bed that she loves. Lastly, I understand how much you will miss your pet while you’re gone so I’ll send daily pictures and updates.

About: Ive been pet sitting for 3 years now, I also have vet tech experience, would love to help assist you and your pets of all sorts at anytime! I’m a stay at home mom to a 1 year old little boy! I’m always free and available when needed! I typically do not stay overnight only because of my son is still little but I like to also say my day starts at 3am and I try to make the best schedule for you and your pets needs! I am available 24/7 throughout the morning and nights! I have a fenced in yard! Lots of room to play, I also have 3 female border collies, very friendly, but also can stay in there kennel if your not comfortable with them being out at the same time
