“Xiomara was awesome and very professional. She sent us daily videos when she would drop by of our cats. She made sure everybody was fed and watered and safe. She was very dependable and always on time. Everything was fantastic, and would certainly have her help us out again.”

“Jennifer was great to work with. If you are staying at Larry and Penny Thompson campground she can take great care of your dog so you can day trip without worries. My dog was happy to see me but not upset about my extended absence, thanks to Jennifer!”

“Savanna was excellent. She took great care while walking the pups and has a lot of patience and love for them. She let us know when she was on her way and they looked forward to seeing her by the second visit. Would recommend for sure”

About: i’ve taken care of and been around dogs ever since I was a little girl my family always had both dogs and cats so I’m good with both. I also have my own dog that I care for and he’s the greatest friend. I’m good with animals of all ages and I would love to help you guys out! I currently am in a masters program at FIU. I have class on Mondays and Wednesdays from 8 to 4 PM. My weekends are completely open. I am available in the afternoon and evenings typically after 5 PM on weekdays. I can do whatever you need or whatever your dog is used to in your home whether that’s walking, playing in a yard, going to a dog park, etc.
“Haley has a special talent to take care of cats. My two cats are very shy and not easy socializing with new people. Haley was able to establish a close and warm relationship with both cats in a couple of days. Both cats came to greet her warmly when she came back home to return my keys. Haley is very punctual and organized with her daily visits. She communicates very openly any adjustments in the visiting schedule, and she is reassuring, mature, serious and professional. Her visits include feeding, taking care of the litter boxes and playing with them. She truly has a special talent to connect with animals! I am already hiring her again for my next trip!”

“Raquel for the second time taking care of my precious cat did such an amazing job!! Thank you for your continuous care and attention to my cat. Between feedings, pets and playtime I couldn’t have asked for anything more during my 2 weeks away!!”

About: I’ve had experience with many animals, including cats that are older and younger, small dogs, big dogs and had a husky of my own. I also do take care of many reptiles so I know how tedious instructions may be for food or care. I have a great communication skills to let you know anything during the process and as a service worker my goal is always to have the best expectations for you and to meet them. I am currently an online FIU student studying biology to become a zoologist and I have a very open schedule and just looking to have fun with cutest fur babies! I have a very big home open to all animals. I also have a big fenced yard to keep all animals safe. Asking for routines regarding their bathroom schedule feeding schedule and special instructions are always appreciated. Would love to keep them comfortable and on track when they return back home with you!
About: I know how important it is to feel completely at peace leaving your pet with someone else and that’s what I aim to give you! I’ve loved animals since I was a little girl and will treat your dog with the same love and care that I give my dog! You’ll always get updates, photos, and check-ins. My goal is for your pet to feel safe, comfortable, and loved! I work full time but work from home Fridays. I’m looking to occupy weekends only with pet care and giving them exercise and play time. I will take time to learn your pets routine and give them a safe environment. I follow feeding and walking schedules so your pets day feels familiar. I make sure they get lots of attention and patience especially if they’re feeling anxious!
“Great sitter! Giselle recently took care of my diabetic cat. She made sure every morning to inject him his insulin, keep his litter clean, and give him fresh water. She is very professional and responsible. She can be counted on to do a great job. Next time I travel, I will definitely be asking Giselle to take care of my Copycat again! Thank you, Giselle!”

“I had a wonderful experience with Valerie as my cat sitter! She took care of my two cats for four days while I was away, and I couldn’t be happier with the care she provided. Valerie came to my house every day to feed them, and she ensured they were well cared for and comfortable in their own space. I returned to two happy, relaxed cats and everything in perfect order. She was reliable, caring, and clearly loves animals. I highly recommend Valerie to anyone looking for a trustworthy and attentive cat sitter!”

“This was my first time using Rover and I'm completely satisfied. It exceeded my expectations. Ricardo was awesome: very responsible and caring. Will definitely use them again during my trips.”

About: Hi, I'm Lynette! Ever since I could remember, I was always intrigued by animals and loved being around them 24/7. My childhood dream was to build an animal rescue and be a voice for animals. So much so that I volunteered at local wildlife foundations. While volunteering, I learned how to cherish animals, as my bond with animals grew even more. Fast forward to about 4 years ago, when I started my pet care journey. It didn't take long before I completely fell in love with it. Each day is really a new adventure and opportunity to connect and bond with my four-legged friends (and their parents). The love I get to share and the happiness they bring me is the reason I love pet care so much! As a pet parent myself, I know that pets make life that much better. This is why I pride myself when knowing that my clients feel confident when leaving their fur babies in my care. I'm glad I get to alleviate any stress and worry they might feel. My commitment is to provide them with some peace of mind while they're away. I always seem to reassure them, as I am able to provide professional and quality care and always have their pets' best interest. Giving pet parents the chance to focus on work, travel, or family commitments, knowing I've got their tail! Please let me know if you need a service that isn’t listed on my service menu that I can help you with, a topic you’d like to learn more about, or an issue relating to one of your pets. Flexible Availability - Whether a scheduling need, pet-related question, or travel delay, I'm available to you and your pet via phone, text, WhatsApp, or email 24 hours a day. Know that your pets are in the hands of a pet sitter who understands your pet’s health. I'm a sitter who's been certified in Pet CPR & First Aid. A daily report is sent with images, updates, GPS tracking, and different correspondence after each visit.
About: I grew up with animals, but since I moved to Miami I’ve been fostering and caring for shelter dogs. I have experience in dogs of all ages and sizes- especially seniors. I have enough treats and toys for a puptastic time! I currently am a biology pre-vet student who studies from home and loves to spend time with animals. I am happy to accommodate to any certain needs! I offer respect for the animals and the owners, with love and understanding. I treat the animal like they are my own, giving any additional care needed. My goal is to make the owner and the pet the most calm and relaxed in each situation.
About: I’ve been surrounded by cats and dogs my whole life and currently have two dogs and two cats of my own. I truly love animals and treat every pet like family—with patience, affection, and attention to their unique needs. I’m comfortable with all ages, from playful puppies to sweet seniors, and I’m happy to stick to your pet’s routine to keep them feeling safe and loved. As a fellow Rover user, I know how much trust it takes to leave your pets in someone else’s care. That’s why I always go the extra mile to communicate clearly, send regular updates, and create a calm, loving environment while you’re away. I'm a teacher currently on summer break, which means I have a very open and flexible schedule—perfect for giving your pet the attention they deserve! Right now, my days revolve around caring for my own two dogs and two cats, so adding another furry friend to the mix is something I genuinely enjoy. Whether it’s walks, playtime, feedings, or just some quality cuddle time, I have plenty of time to focus on your pet’s needs without feeling rushed. Even during the school year, I make pet care a priority with early mornings, afternoons, and weekends always dedicated to my animals. No matter the season, caring for pets is a core part of my daily life. When caring for pets in their own home, I always prioritize following your instructions and routines exactly as you’ve laid them out. I know how important consistency is for animals, especially when their favorite people aren’t around. From feeding and walking schedules to playtime, medication, or bedtime routines, I make sure your pet feels as safe, loved, and comfortable as possible. My goal is to keep things feeling familiar and calm, so your pet can relax and stay happy until you’re back home. You can count on me to treat your home and your pets with the same care and respect I give my own.
“We heavily rely on Sam’s support afforded to Athena, which has ranged from walks to/from dog care and house siting in our place. Sam is a pleasant detail oriented, exceptional communicator that our dog enjoys hanging out.”

About: Raising my very own senior lady, a mid-size terrier-mix, for the last decade and counting - experienced with dogs that have separation anxiety and need a little more comfort than the rest I’m currently working full-time but located locally in the gables, so I’ll have plenty of time in the late afternoons and evenings after 6pm for walks and pups! Weekends are usually open for the mornings and afternoons, as well. I can cater to your fur baby’s daily routine, maintaining their preferred feeling schedules and walks, keeping their day structured so they don’t ever feel off and can rest knowing all is well (even with mom and dad away)!

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Westchester
Valerie took excellent care of our dynamic duo. She watched both our cats for a week and she followed instructions to a tee. She also sent lots of pics daily so we felt assured they were being taken care of. She’s a great communicator and would definitely book with her again. And lastly, our cats trusted her almost immediately!

Katherine is an incredible caregiver. She treated Tamago as if she were her own. Her patience paid off, and after a few days, Tamago emerged from her shell and began to play and cuddle with her. Katherine also followed the instructions meticulously and kept me updated daily with detailed descriptions of Tamago’s progress. I would highly recommend her for Tamago’s care in the future!!!!

I'm a repeat customer and as always Ricardo and Carlos were excellent. I had drop in visits to look after my cat Helena and they are always very responsive, takes lots of pictures and leaves everything in order. I'm happy that I can trust them and if you are considering it I would recommend giving them a try!

I had Aldana taking care of my 3 cats while I was out for 3 weeks and she did an excellent job. She is very attto their needs and we had an open and fast communication that helped a lot finished my anxiety being far for that long. Aldana told me she is moving to a different neighborhood so I wish her all the best! Thank you Aldana!

Savanna is super sweet and really attentive. She took great care of my rabbits while I was out of town and followed all of my instructions without any issues. She kept me updated the whole time, which made me feel so much better being away. I felt completely comfortable leaving my pets with her. If you’re looking for a pet sitter on Rover, she’s the one! ☺️💓

Dora Luz was fantastic! This was our first time using a service for KiKi and we were so pleased! It is obvious that Dora Luz is very experienced and our cat was very happy upon our return! We received daily updates and the pics were fabulous. We would definitely use her again! Thanks so much!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Westchester. On Rover:
- 89% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
