We are in from out of state and Danita watched our Border Collie while we did some “not dog friendly” activities in the area. Danita was great with our dog - super friendly, walked him, and sent updates and photos. Would not hesitate to book again when in the area! Thank you!

Rachel was so helpful taking care of my sweet puppy even when he wasn’t feeling his greatest the day she had him! She gave regular updates and even offered son advice to help remedy his upset tummy! She is fantastic!

About: I have loads of experience! From fostering dogs to being a licensed vet tech of 10 years!!! I decided I wanted a different direction and starting my own business and pet sit on the side. I'm loving every second of it! I work from home so taking care of your baby will fit right into my schedule. I can do whatever is needed and more! Just ask! I prefer to care for animals in their homes where they are comfortable, but if they are good with other dogs/peope/ and cats they can come to mine. I have 6bdogs ranging from puppy to senior and 5 cats. They all get along well with other dogs and cats but if one was to join our pack they would have to do the same.

I highly recommend Kristi for your babies needs. Being new to the area and having a new puppy is exciting and scary. Trusting someone with your baby is hard. She was so comforting to me and gave me regular updates. This was the first time I left Chandler with anyone. She has 2 dogs herself and Frankie is the same breed as Chandler. Dachshunds needs special care and she even had ramps to accommodate their backs. I will definitely use Kristi again.❤️💙🩷

Just picked up my pup from a day with Tracey while we went to Dollywood. She’s happy and tired and even though she’s normally a “Velcro dog” who never wants to be away from us, I can see that she had a great afternoon. I’d absolutely leave her with Tracey again if we come back this way.

Zach came through for us when booking the evening before going to Dollywood for the day. Zach was very accommodating and both my small dogs greeted me with wagging tails upon pickup so I believe they had a good day. My Chihuahua didn’t get along with his dog at first greeting (my Chi fault) and Zach was able to keep his dog and my dogs separated. I definitely recommend Zach for any furbabies.

About: Caring for animals has been a constant joy in my life since childhood, and I bring over 25 years of experience as both a pet owner and sitter. I am Pet CPR and First Aid certified, comfortable with oral and injectable medications, and able to accommodate pets with special diets or unique needs. My experience includes caring for puppies who need training and patience, as well as senior pets who require extra gentleness and support. What sets me apart is the home and environment I provide— Our little farm offers space to explore, a secure fenced yard for safe play, and the love of my entire family. With three children who adore animals, every pet gets an abundance of cuddles, companionship, and supervision. I understand how hard it can be to leave your beloved pets, and my goal is always to make them feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. Caring for pets is a natural part of my daily life. As a stay-at-home mom, I spend about 80% of my time at home. This allows me to give pets consistent love, attention, and supervision throughout the day. My three children, who are all animal lovers, also enjoy providing extra playtime and cuddles, making sure your pet always feels included and cared for. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. We live on a 2-acres with a secure fenced-in yard for safe, off-leash play and exploration. Pets are never left alone for long periods and are treated like part of our family. I am Pet CPR and First Aid certified, experienced in administering medications, and happy to accommodate special diets or crate training if preferred. Our home is filled with love, supervision, and plenty of cozy spots for relaxation so your pet feels secure and happy.

Meredith was excellent taking care on my Ruth. She definitely did the “extra” and made my life easier by being flexible with my sometimes hectic work schedule. She also provided regular updates throughout the day which made me feel very at ease. My dog Ruth loved her and we both felt very secure in Meredith’s hands. I can totally recommend her!

About: I grew up on a farm in rural Appalachia so I have been surrounded by pets of all different types for as long as I can remember. I learned how to care for them very early on in my childhood and that experience fostered my passionate love for all animals. I believe in caring for them, not just as pets, but members of our families. I am flexible with my routine so I can meet the varying needs of the doggies that stay with us. We can discuss more in depth when you inquire to book. I have a spacious, fenced in back yard that is perfect for zoomies and playtime! My home is open and welcoming. I have lots of space for them to hangout or to relax in their kennel.

Kristy you are an absolute gem! Louie's dog sitter extraordinaire! Seriously, she's the bomb. From the get-go, her vibe was super chill and friendly, which totally reassured me about leaving Louie with her. Kristy's care and respect for Louie were next level. She kept me posted with updates and totally catered to his quirks. If you need someone awesome to look after your furry friend, Kristy's your gal. Louie and I couldn't be happier with her TLC.

About: I have had a dog as a family pet for my entire life, and I've personally taken care of family friends' pets since I was a preteen as well, so you could say I know my way around the species pretty well and I know that great pet owners mean they are treated as a member of the family. I will be communicative, respectful, and flexible with the owners and a caring new friend for the furry family member who's been left behind. I'm a teacher on holiday, so my first priority this summer is your pet, and I will absolutely ensure he or she is very well taken care of. Thank you in advance for your consideration, I am looking forward to taking care of your pet!

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - West Millers Cove

Danita was a perfect host for the day for my Tessa! They seemed to bond instantly and when I picked Tessa up, she was glad to see me but actually ran back up to Damita's door before I got her in the car as to say "goodbye" one more time. They took a walk and Danita has a beautiful home up on a mountain with a fenced yard so Tessa could enjoy the sights and sounds of the mountains as well. She also has other dogs and a cat so ur pet can have playmates. Unfortunately. I was held up in the Pigeon Forge traffic and was very late picking Tessa up, but Danita didn't make me feel bad about it. She was very understanding. She is great with communicating about your pet and sent some truly beautiful pics of my Tessa during her visit. Danita is a very kind and pleasant person and so is her boyfriend. They are truly pet loving people and I couldn't have found a better daycare arrangement for out trip to the Smokies. You won't be disappointed!!! Thank you Danita❤️

Danita took great care of our 13 year old cockapoo while we were visiting the Smokies and had a long hike day planned. She did a zoom meet-and-greet with us ahead of time and was very attentive to his/our needs. She was willing to do an early drop off and communicated with us throughout the day with lots of pictures. She has pets of her own but is able to keep them separate as needed. Quincy came home happy and tired and we would definitely use her again if in the area!

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of August 2026, there are 265 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across West Millers Cove. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your West Millers Cove commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in TN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 265 sitters in West Millers Cove, 88% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
