She even went out of her way to drop off Chippy’s bed when we accidentally left it behind. We’d definitely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy sitter!”

It was our first time leaving our dog Penny and I was very nervous but immediately when I first met him I was at ease and he has a way of making you feel comfortable . I was worried because Penny is a nervous dog and a little anxious sometimes . Drew did all kinds of activities with Penny and he walks the dogs in a pack and he takes the time to send videos and pictures he really goes above and beyond. He truly is a dog whisperer! If you are in need of a pet sitter Drew is the guy ! He is the best !”

About: I’ve had a Frenchie since he was a puppy, so I have a lot of experience taking care of dogs. I also love cats and while I never owned one, I have taken care of my friends’ cats. I work full time, 9-5, so I am available in the evenings and weekends to walk your dog or just watch over your pet if needed. I would love to walk your dog for you if you are too tired or don’t have the time! I have my own dog so I understand how important these walks are to them, and I have experience with reactive dogs.

“Very nice guy. We love our dog, he is like one of our children. We usually take him everywhere we go. John made us comfortable, and sent pictures for my daughter to reinsure her that he was all right.I will definitely use him again if available .”

About: I love all different type of animals, as I was growing up I live on a farm while I attended a boarding school. I've always been a dog person ever since I was a little kid. My parents finally got around first family dog, a German Shepherd named Obi. It brought a lot of my personality, environment and well being into my life. At first I didn't realized how much of a huge responsibility it was to take care of a dog, but after getting to know how to take care of Obi, it changed everything and I wanted to continue to take care of Obi. I would go with him to all different types of classes, see him learn, as well as learning from him and his teacher/trainer and getting him understand the commands as well as teaching him while walking him to ask him to heal, Obi was a super smart dog. I would play with him when I would get back from school as well as taking him for walks. Couple years later my parents got another dog, a Chihuahua name Don Julio, but we called him DJ. I know what you’re thinking, that it’s huge difference of dog breeds but crazy enough those two where best friends. DJ was such a cute, quiet, easy going, and laid back dog. DJ had A LOT of energy at times, I would play with him indoors/outdoors. Few years after that, my parents got another German Shepherd, her name was Evika and we called her Evvi. We got her as a puppy, it was a lot of work and learning how to take care of her. Teaching her commands, potty training, good/bad behaviors and patience. She was super playful and had the most energy out of all of our dogs! Once I started learning more and more on how to take care of a Evvi, it felt like a whole new level of commitment and although its was a lot of work at first, I was getting the hang of it and really enjoyed it. After taking care of my parents dogs with them, I started taking care of my friends dogs, petsitting, walking, giving meals, playing with them, and of course LOTS OF LOVE AND ATTENTION!😊 One of the dogs I was taking care of was when the dog was a puppy, the dog was a mutt, Pit Bull Terrier mix. Then dog was a sweetheart. I helped out for the family for a couple of years and now I am taking care of another of my friends dog, the dog is a Pit Bull and such a love bug, with such a kind, loving heart that you would fall in love with instantly! I dog sit my friends dog for her family, and couldn't explain how much joy it is to be around the dog and have that responsibility take on. My friends dog loves playing with all of their toys, and also loves their walks and cuddles. I've also volunteered at the SPCA from time to time. I take the dogs for walks, play, cleaning crates, making sure the water bowls are filled and they've been fed. When walking with a dog, I am very aware and mindful of our surrounding as well of making sure if I notice anything that might trigger the dog and try to avoid. When walking a dog and I see another dog and the dog gets too excited, I keep the dog on a short lease, keep walking and try to keep the dog as calm as possible and praise once settled. If that doesn't work then I turn around and go a different direction. If a dog see a squirrel and starts reacting I pull back a little, say "no" "leave it" and continue walking, as well as praising the dog after he/she calms down. If there is someone in front of me and the dog, I keep a distance for everyones comfort level, safety and being respectful. If there's nobody on the other side of the sidewalk then I cross the street. when there's someone that asks to pet the dog, I would have to talk to the dog owner before hand to see what their comfortable level is with that. If yes, I make sure if they’re kids to remind them how to pet the dog. For example not close/petting to the face and mouth as well as not petting the tail, legs and paws. While at the house and a dog starts squeaking/barking/crying, my first reaction would to make sure he/she isn't hurt if I don't physically see anything (legs, paws, fur for any ticks) then I'll take he/she outside to see if he/she need to go potty. Once coming back inside I'll give the dog play time, and all the love. If the dog is continuing to bark/cry/squeak, and don't see anything physically wrong, I will call the owner so they're aware, and if there is further action that need to be done. I'll be honest for removing a tick, it makes me nervous because it is really hard to actually remove a tick off from the dogs skin and hate to see the dog in pain and irritated, and as well as me not liking bugs very much... When it comes to potty training depending on the dog, I'll usually take he/she outside every hour, stay out with he/she, saying "go potty" (unless the owner has a different technique they would like me to use) and stay out until the dog goes potty, once the dog goes potty I'll praise he/she. If it's been a long time I'll take them back inside and try again in 15-30 minutes. If he/she has an accident in the house, I would ask the owner ahead of time what they would like me to do when that happens, since dog owners usually have different teaching mechanisms on how they would like their dog trained and want to be very respectful of how they want there dog trained. Then clean up after the dog, I know how to use stain remover spray if on carpet and for the floor everyone has a different technique they like to use, before hand I'll ask the dog owner where the cleaning supplies are and which they would prefer me to use. I can bathe dogs, I will be honest I've worked with some difficult dogs where the dog hates the bath and possibly the person who giving he/she the bath. So with that being said I like to try to do as quickly as possible but also making sure he/she is properly fully washed and cleaned, I've bathe that are easy going as well but most of them will give me the puppy eyes.. Afterwards, I dry he/she and brush if needed. I like to take dogs for walks 2-4 times a day and usually about 20-45mins unless I feel like they need a shorter walk or even a longer. Especially if he/she seems to be getting really tired or has a lot of energy. With dog that have heart worms the less exercise they have the better for example, not taking the dog for a long walk, not even a quick 15 minute walk, I usually like to keep it about five minute as well as not playing and running around. I feed the dogs at their assigned times of meals, as well as asking the dog owners if they use treats to reward good behaviors. I personally never had a dog run away from me or get out but I know when that happens to not chase after the dog and turn your back from them and walk the opposite direction. I know from one person told me when it happened with their dog the owner ran the opposite direction and the dog ran after them. Again I've never experienced that happened to me, if that is a concern with your dog I would appreciate to know what the best way for your dog to come back. When I'm with the all the dogs I want to make sure while with the dogs that there comfortable, happy, healthy, full of love, well taken care of and SAFE! I've worked with cats, here and there. I'll be honest though I don't not have as much experience with cats then dogs. In my experience I have noticed that cats just do there own thing at times but when they want to be with you and cuddle, it's the most adorable thing! I just always make sure I'm not wearing clothes that can attract there fur easily and certain colors.😁 I know how to change a cats litter box, as well as food, water, and brushing their fur. I want to make the cats are feeling loved and getting the attention they want but I know to not go to the cat, let the cat come to you. It's also very Important for to me make sure I'm meeting their standards in what helps the cat feel more comfortable and safe. Thank you, I hope we can connect. I am employed full-time, Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5:30 PM, with Wednesdays from 11:30 AM to 5:30 PM. My work schedule is consistent each week, but I occasionally have days off. Weekends are always flexible. When I'm at a client's place, safety is my top priority. I make sure to get rid of any yucky or poisonous foods they might get into. I also do a thorough check of the whole house to remove anything that could be a choking hazard or cause injury, like small toy parts. I'm experienced with using crates, especially for dogs who are a bit challenging, and I always follow the client's instructions. Before I leave, I do a final check to make sure there are no hazards, especially if the dogs are out of their crates. If they're in crates, I don't leave toys inside to be safe, unless the client asks me to.
