“Donny was friendly, professional, and thoughtful. You can tell Donny really cares about your pet(s) and he provided me frequent and thorough updates on my dog, Possum, every check-in. She was very happy and well taken care of by Donny. I highly recommend booking Donny via Rover and will be inquiring with him again the next time I'm out of town.”

“Shardae was very professional and is a trusting person. We booked her for drop in visits. She did a meet and greet so that our dog could get familiar with her. She followed all the instructions that we gave her. She took our dog on a walk when she came over and feed her. She also gave her one on one time to ensure that she is loved while we were way. I will rebook her anytime we are away. I will 100% recommend her to sit for your fur baby.”

“I can’t say enough great things about Kai!!! This is my first experience using Rover as I did not want to put my boys in a kennel while I was away for a few days. Since my pups are a bit senior I wanted them to be in the comfort of their own home. Kai saw my boys twice a day, was consistent and timely and great at communicating with me how everything was going every time he saw them. I was a little nervous initially with allowing someone in my home while I was out of town, but Kai is completely trustworthy and made sure to lock everything up in between his visits. I HIGHLY recommend Kai for taking care of your pet(s) when you have to be away from them :)”

“Diwa was extremely kind, thoughtful, and helpful with my girl Pumpkin. I would definitely recommend her to anyone! I know I will be reaching out to her again on my next trip.”

“Elaine was awesome with our dog Sirius. He was excited to see her and go on a walk, play tug of war, and jump around. She gave him lots of love while we were out of town for a day trip and he was happy and healthy when we got home. Thanks Elaine!”

“I recently had the pleasure of hiring Pearl to take care of my cat Maia while I was away, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. From the moment we met, I could tell that she was a true animal lover. Her professionalism and genuine care for my fur baby were evident throughout her entire stay. One of the standout aspects of Pearl’s service was her proactive communication. During my first booking, she sent me daily updates and photos of my cat, which was incredibly reassuring. It was wonderful to see my shy cat starting to warm up to her, a testament to Pearl’s gentle and patient approach. During this most recent booking, Pearl helped coordinate with my house sitter to make sure Maia was fed and well loved when I was away. Normally, Maia is very reserved around new people, but she seemed comfortable and even happy in the photos I received. Moreover, Pearl was very respectful of my home. She left everything in perfect condition, just as I had left it. It's clear that she takes her responsibilities seriously and goes above and beyond to ensure both pets and owners are satisfied. I highly recommend Pearl to anyone in need of a reliable, caring, and attentive pet sitter. Her dedication and love for animals shine through in her work, and I will definitely be booking her services again in the future. Thank you, Pearl, for taking such wonderful care of Miss Maia!”

About: I used to have my own two dogs that I took care of since I was a kid for 14 years. Sadly, they passed away last year. I’ve also taken care of my friends’ and neighbors’ dogs, making sure they were well-fed, walked, and given plenty of attention! 😊 I work part time remotely Monday-Thursday just in the mornings so I have a lot of free time to watch over pets and make sure they are taken care of. 🐶🤍 I live in a super pet-friendly complex with plenty of open spaces for walks, designated pet areas, and a welcoming environment, making it a great place for pets to feel comfortable and well cared for while their owners are away.

“Zulaiha was excellent! My cats love her, and she took really great care of them. I was actually stressed because this was the first time I was away from them, but she made sure they were all good and they had everything they needed. I'll definitely want her to take care of my cats if I'm ever away on a trip again because I know they'll be in great in hands.”

About: I have taken care of a variety of animals since I was a young kid and have had a dog virtually my entire life, sometimes a few dogs at once and many cats too. I have been a fish, dog, and cat parent for about thirty years or more of my adult life and ongoing. Recently completed a twelve-week obedience training course with our German Shepherd. Plenty of work to do. We also have done pet sitting for friends, as they have also done for us over the many years. We have cared for many a senior dog or cat, as they have been ours. We have always had and cared for animals through their entire life cycle. Before Rover dog care and dog walking of other peoples pets, aside from friends pets was not something we had done as a business, but taking care of animals, especially dogs is an activity I have been doing my entire life, every day. We walk our own dog a couple of times daily. I have owned and cared for many dogs. I currently own a two year old White German Shepherd, which is very socialized. He is a silly one. I have some experience in training, in as much as myself and my GSD went through twelve weeks of obedience classes through PetSmart to help get him setup for success. My primary business is in IT. I work from home almost every day. I have an independent IT consulting company, working for myself since 2003, to date. A very flexible schedule. However, the business has been slow and I am looking for something to supplement my income. Another IT job would likely be treated as a conflict, and I already do that work anyway. This type of gig seems perfect, flexible schedule and doing something I have always wanted to do. Right now, I have the time. We will discuss shifts; I may be good to help during a variety of times. I love dogs, all animals really. We are very willing to sit for some dogs in our own home or stop in to check on, walk and feed them, etc. I have a neighbor that does the same thing as a “side hustle” (for Rover) and they love it. When I am out walking my dog, I often run into them walking their dog tenants that they are sitting while owners are away. I have lived in the Southbay since 1988 and love it here. I live in a two-story house on the edge of old Torrance and Harbor City. I look forward to our future contact and making some new furry friends. Thanks so much for your consideration. I have a fenced yard and one dog, a white German Shepherd that is still enjoying late stage puppy hood :-) at two years old. Loves his toys, well socialized and really loves playing with other dogs. He is good company for another dog and someday soon we may be getting another, so he always has a friend. Right now we have just one. We also have one Maine Coon cat (16yr), that generally stays out of site around new dogs. Our one cat has been living with dogs most of his life. We will create separation of animals if it is necessary. If you provide it and it is needed, we will crate your dog, otherwise we are happy to let them always be part of the home while staying with us. The home is safe and secure with plenty of space inside and outside. We are in an enclosed subdivision with safe residential streets for walks. We have dedicated space where our dog and cat eat separately, we can also set up feeding so your pet can eat alone if necessary. We can adjust access to food, so nobody (including our dog) has any issues. Dog walking is done regularly for our GSD and we are happy to take your pet along to explore the neighborhood.

About: I have experience communicating and living with dogs, cats and birds. I see the needs and mood of animals well. I have experience in caring for puppies and kittens. I taught my 2 cats commands (paw, sit and place). I have a higher medical education (human medicine) and can prepare to care for any pet if necessary. I am currently not working and I have flexible schedule. I will be able to devote a lot of time to take care of your pet. My home is secure, plus there is a large fully fenced back yard for off-leash walks, active play, and outdoor lounging. If you have any questions- just ask me.

About: For a majority of my life, I've grown up in a home where I've been given the responsibility of taking care of pets I've had in my family. Until recently, I've helped to take care of our small, teacup shih tzu, Carmel, and our Maltese-mix, Bella, before I've made my move down to Southern California. Daily walking and feeding were a large part of how I helped to take care of them, specifically for meals where I would prepare a neutral diet of chicken and rice mixed with perscription food. Currently, I'm working part-time in Redondo Beach while I am transitioning into the next phase of my career. My daily routine allows a majority of my mornings to be avaialble throughout the week, in addition to a few evenings where I am not working at my current job. I have an informal background in pet care that I have provided for neighbors and friends, where I have helped to do check-ins, walks, and board/house pets in the area. I have experience in catering to specific dietary needs and fulfilling special requests to accommodate pet routine, including administration of daily supplements and medication or grooming/bathing. I am happy to observe and fulfill any requests that will help to accommodate your pet under my care :)

About: Quality Consistent Care for SM, MD, LRG puppies and adult dogs. As a dedicated, organized, and reliable dog lover with five years of experience supervising the care of dogs while their owners are away—complemented by my love of companion animals and pet hotel experience—I am prepared to ease your worries. I commit to giving you peace of mind regarding the wellbeing of your dogs during your absence. My background includes performing comprehensive tasks to ensure full animal care, including providing food and water, light grooming (as needed), walking dogs, discarding animal waste, administering oral medication, and providing general companionship. Additionally, I am experienced in providing daytime, evening, and/or overnight care while documenting completed duties at the end of each visit. I send “report cards” or daily account of activities, meals, etc. Highlights include: I have taken care of dogs off every kind since I was a child. Neighbors, friends, and family relied on me to walk, feed, and house-sit their pets. Thank you for your consideration, and I look forward to meeting you and your fur babies soon! I am a part time student at El Camino in Torrance pursuing an animal science degree. Therefore, I have a pretty flexible schedule during the week with open-ended weekends to care for your pup! Additional support in general house-sitting duties, such as collecting the mail and/or packages, watering plants, handling trash, and turning on and off lights as needed.

About: I am someone who has always loved animals and with my mom working at an animal hospital, that only excelled. I am patient and love playing and walking with the dogs. I am good with almost any size dog with my years of experience and I can throw a tennis ball pretty far! I love any breed of dog it's no different to me because all breeds are wonderful! I have learned how to administer oral medication so that's something that's not a problem. Most of all I just love dogs overall! They're great!
