About: I love animals and have always had a dog plus some fun family pets like gerbils, turtles, fish, chickens, a goat, and a cockatiel! I often care for my children’s pets when they are out of town: Mini Golden Doodle, Great Dane, Pitbull, Rottweiler, and a Lab with puppies. I’m comfortable providing your pet with any medications or following special instructions, because I know how important their health is to you. I’d be happy to care for any of your animals. I’m retired, so I have plenty of time to take care of your pets and can make most anytime work. I’m available on weekdays and weekends. Currently, I am only taking 1 dog at a time unless they are from the same family. I have a fenced backyard for your dog to play in, a nice neighborhood to go for walks, and I currently have no pets at home.
“JaNiya is an angel! She came to save the day when I was all the way in California and a sitter bailed on me. She came in and loved on my puppy, helped put my house back in order and get him on track with his meds. She gave me very helpful updates to ease my worry and also gave some flvery helpful insights as a new dog mom. I will definitely be a repeat client.”

“As usual, Allie is a rockstar and we couldn’t be happier with her level of care for our frenchies and cats! She consistently goes above and beyond as a house/pet sitter. Our fur babies love her and it is evident she loves them too. We are incredibly thankful we found her and will continue to call upon her when we have the opportunity to travel.”

“Chas was a wonderful house-sitter and pet watcher! We returned home to super relaxed, happy pets and a clean home...and communication throughout our trip was exactly what we were looking for in order to rest assured that all was well. What a treat to go away and know that your pets and home are in good hands! Thank you, Chas!”

“Cortney took amazing care of my pack of 3 dogs and a pig. She updated me throughout the weekend and I came home to happy fur babies and a clean house. I highly recommend Cortney.”

“I had a wonderful experience! She was very responsive and took the time to come for a meet and greet before my trip. While I was away, I received plenty of pictures and videos, which made me feel reassured that my little Teddy Bear was in great hands.”

“Rachel has done a phenomenal job at taking care of my dog. She was very communicative and went above and beyond. My dog is quite anxious especially around new people, I could tell how comfortable she made him. I highly recommend booking with her!”

“Lindsay was great! She cared for our pug Percy for 5 days and provided lovely updates. We had many communications before the sit and during - Lindsay is quick with texts and communicates clearly. We arrived home to a happy pup and everything in the house left clean and orderly. Big plus is she will take amazing photos of your pets! We would welcome Lindsay back any time!!”

“Addisen was amazing! She came over prior to the visit to meet my pets and listened to all ramblings of instructions. She communicated and sent pictures everyday I was gone. I was so grateful to find her! Definitely would recommend her to anyone and will be booking again in the future!”

About: I kept friends dogs at my home for years while they traveled for work or play. I now have two cats I adore, but they don’t get along with dogs or I would still do it in my own home. I’ve supported and helped train several of my dogs and generally don’t have a problem holding the parents expectations for their fur kids, if that’s behaving on leash, rehearsing training, or making sure that they “do something” for treats, I’m happy to make sure they aren’t letting their manners slip around the new guy. I am a large man over 6ft and 230lb, and I have met a few pups who specifically didn’t seem comfortable around me, they were rescues and some warmed up with time. I would to meet your shy pet and see if they warm up, but I prefer being honest and if large men give your pet anxiety, I may not be the sitter for you. And that’s ok I’m a massage therapist, so while my schedule may change from day to day, I have time to swing by for walks, feedings, or even meds as long as you have specific instructions for the meds. I don’t take clients until 10, and i often have large breaks during the day to visit or check on the fur kids. I am not married nor do I have kids so i can be flexible with my time. I follow the clients instructions to the letter, and leave the space as I found it with happy sleepy pets. I’ve cared for kennels and champion hunting dogs, feral cats and the dogs they scared. I prioritize keeping them on their own schedule and stress free. I will let you know if and where I would need to deviate from their normal schedule if necessary. So that you can make the best choice for your pets health
“I requested a last minute stay from Madison and she was able to save the day and watch our house and kitty cat. She sent photo updates of my kitty and was very nice house guest. She made sure to clean our home and asked questions when necessary.”

“Shelby has been such a blessing to us. She has been there when we needed her to take the best care of our 15 year old goldendoodle. He requires patience and attention & I never worry when she takes care of him. Thanks Shelby!!”

“Very pleased with Ryan once again he took stellar care of my Furry Kids! He sent pictures of them letting me know they were comfortable with him! All around great Vibe from Ryan, Ryan checked in with me making sure my travels brought me back on time before he departed! 100% positive will continue using Ryan!”

About: I’ve been taking care of all sorts of pets since I became a teenager. I’ve also house sat in addition to pet sat for 8 years now, and have reliable references. Pet sitting is currently a side gig alongside my full time job, but I’d love to help with any pet care I can! I currently work 9-6 M-F at a daycare, so I will have mornings and evenings (plus a lunch break from work) and weekends to check in, feed, walk, play with, and clean up after your pet. I ensure leads and harnesses are properly put on pets when walks are needed, I ensure a clean house so that pets do not eat anything off the floor, tables, countertops, etc., I ensure doors are locked at all times
“Reagan was so wonderful! My dog can is nervous around strangers and is a senior. Reagan was so patient and kind and it made me feel so much more comfortable leaving my pup. Reagan is definitely someone you can count on and she will treat your animal like her own!”

“Kathryn was absolutely amazing! It was our first time leaving our dog for a week and we were so nervous. Before we left our dog got sick and we almost cancelled our vacation but we told Kathryn what was going on and what we were going to need from her while she was watching him. When we met Kathryn, Jameson was so excited and was happy to have someone that was going to take great care of him. She updated us on everything and sent great pictures. When we came home a few days ago we could just tell that Jameson was the happiest puppy when we walked through our dog and was taken care of so well and feeling so much better! We will be using Kathryn again for our next getaway:)”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of September 2026, there are 438 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across West Brow. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred West Brow walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in West Brow maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in West Brow choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in West Brow. On Rover:
- 97% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
