About: I love animals and have always had a dog plus some fun family pets like gerbils, turtles, fish, chickens, a goat, and a cockatiel! I often care for my children’s pets when they are out of town: Mini Golden Doodle, Great Dane, Pitbull, Rottweiler, and a Lab with puppies. I’m comfortable providing your pet with any medications or following special instructions, because I know how important their health is to you. I’d be happy to care for any of your animals. I’m retired, so I have plenty of time to take care of your pets and can make most anytime work. I’m available on weekdays and weekends. Currently, I am only taking 1 dog at a time unless they are from the same family. I have a fenced backyard for your dog to play in, a nice neighborhood to go for walks, and I currently have no pets at home.

On my 18th birthday, I got an English Bulldog, which taught me the importance of understanding breed-specific needs, health concerns, and proper care. Since then, I’ve spent countless hours researching dog behavior, nutrition, exercise requirements, and overall wellness. I have experience dog sitting and walking dogs of different sizes and personalities. I enjoy being active and spending time with animals, so caring for pets fits naturally into my daily routine. I tailor my care to each pet’s individual needs and follow the owner’s instructions closely. For boarding, I provide a safe, comfortable environment with plenty of attention, exercise, playtime, fresh water, and regular feeding schedules. While I do not have a fenced yard, I live directly across from a park and make sure dogs get plenty of safe outdoor time and activity. Pets are welcome on the furniture and are treated like part of the family. For house sitting, I maintain the pet’s normal routine to help them feel comfortable while also respecting and caring for the owner’s home. During walks, I focus on safety, exercise, and making sure each dog gets the attention and activity they need. No matter the service, I treat every pet as if they were my own and make their well-being my top priority.

About: I kept friends dogs at my home for years while they traveled for work or play. I now have two cats I adore, but they don’t get along with dogs or I would still do it in my own home. I’ve supported and helped train several of my dogs and generally don’t have a problem holding the parents expectations for their fur kids, if that’s behaving on leash, rehearsing training, or making sure that they “do something” for treats, I’m happy to make sure they aren’t letting their manners slip around the new guy. I am a large man over 6ft and 230lb, and I have met a few pups who specifically didn’t seem comfortable around me, they were rescues and some warmed up with time. I would to meet your shy pet and see if they warm up, but I prefer being honest and if large men give your pet anxiety, I may not be the sitter for you. And that’s ok I’m a massage therapist, so while my schedule may change from day to day, I have time to swing by for walks, feedings, or even meds as long as you have specific instructions for the meds. I don’t take clients until 10, and i often have large breaks during the day to visit or check on the fur kids. I am not married nor do I have kids so i can be flexible with my time. I follow the clients instructions to the letter, and leave the space as I found it with happy sleepy pets. I’ve cared for kennels and champion hunting dogs, feral cats and the dogs they scared. I prioritize keeping them on their own schedule and stress free. I will let you know if and where I would need to deviate from their normal schedule if necessary. Now that I’m spending more time at home in Chattanooga, I’m bringing that experience to local pet owners through Rover. I also had a high-energy Springer Spaniel of my own, so I understand both the daily needs of an active dog and how much trust it takes to leave a beloved companion in someone else’s care. To me, excellent pet sitting is about more than feeding and walks—it’s noticing the little things, respecting each pet’s routine, communicating consistently, and helping them feel safe and comfortable while their person is away. I’ve cared for dogs and cats with a range of personalities, from affectionate and easygoing pets to more apprehensive dogs who needed patience and careful handling. I ask thoughtful questions about each animal’s temperament, routines, walking needs, triggers, and boundaries so I can care for them as individuals. I’m also comfortable administering straightforward medications, including pills for dogs and cats. Past pet owners consistently mention my reliability, communication, cleanliness, and the happy pets they return home to. I send regular photos or videos, keep owners informed if anything unusual arises, and use good judgment when handling minor issues. As a homeowner and short-term-rental host myself, I also understand the responsibility involved in caring for someone’s property. I keep the home tidy, care for plants and other agreed-upon household needs, and aim to leave everything at least as well as I found it. In addition to dogs and cats, I have cared for chickens, a rabbit, and a parrot. I have an active but flexible schedule and am best suited to pets who are comfortable being left alone for ordinary stretches during the day. Depending on the season and my schedule, I may occasionally be away for up to 6–8 hours. I’ll always discuss your pet’s normal routine and maximum comfortable alone time before accepting a booking. Pets requiring frequent daytime attention or near-constant supervision may sometimes be accommodated through a customized care arrangement. I currently offer overnight care exclusively in the pet’s own home, allowing your animals to remain in the familiar environment where they feel safest. For first-time clients, I prefer an in-home meet-and-greet before confirming the booking. This gives me an opportunity to meet your pets, understand their routine, and make sure the arrangement feels comfortable for everyone. My goal is simple: for you to travel with peace of mind and return to relaxed, well-cared-for pets and a clean, peaceful home. I have a flexible schedule rather than a traditional set workday. I do much of my work from my laptop and otherwise divide my time among the gym, managing my nearby Airbnb, and rock climbing. On Airbnb turnover days, I may be cleaning between approximately 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. My outdoor climbing schedule varies by season: at certain times of year I may climb three or four days per week, while at other times I stay closer to town, take shorter outings, focus on indoor training, or climb very little. Before accepting any booking, I consider the pet’s routine, how long they can comfortably be left alone, my expected schedule, and the travel time involved in my plans. If I cannot reliably meet your pet’s needs, I simply won’t accept the booking. Once I commit to a sit, you can feel confident that I’ve made sure their required care fits my schedule. At this time, I offer care exclusively in the pet parent’s home, where pets can remain in familiar surroundings and follow their normal routines. I carefully follow instructions regarding feeding, walks, medication, doors and gates, outdoor access, and any household-specific safety concerns. Because I will be living and sleeping in the home, I accept bookings in reasonably clean, safe, non-smoking homes with functioning utilities and a comfortable sleeping space. Your home certainly does not need to be spotless, but it should be generally tidy and free from excessive clutter or conditions that would make an overnight stay uncomfortable or unsafe.
