About: Hi everyone! My name is Emma and I am 18 years old headed into college this fall! I have had dogs since I was little. Now being 18, that means it’s been a little while 😆. I have dog sat for friends and family many many times before. Ranging from as little as just overnight, up to about 2 weeks! I love to sit and hang out with them, throw the ball back and forth, and of course give them lots of treats and snuggles! I completely get that leaving your dog with a stranger is a nerve wracking thing to have to do! Having done it with my own dogs, my goal is to give your animal care that brings you, and of course them, lots of comfort. As well as making sure it’s a relaxing experience for both parties! I’ve worked with dogs many age ranges. I’ve had a dog who was 6 and in her prime years, but i’ve also had a puppy we got when she was 6wks! I have experience with elderly dogs who need medications, special care instructions, and just help getting around. I am currently working a part time job at a daycare. My weekends and afternoons are completely free though! I only work about 6-8 hours a day and am always home doing school work, or just spending time with animals of my own! My dog loves to throw the ball around and run after it. We don’t have a big yard so we throw it inside for her and she runs back and forth with it! She is also crate trained so she knows when it’s time to go to bed and puts herself right to sleep! I have had a dog in the past that did not use a crate and she was an angel! Both animals i have had loved to run outdoors and go for walks and always did well on leash. My cats have always been pretty laid back, getting rid of most of their energy outside exploring! Both cats I have had loved to eat, so it was always a regular routine to check their bowls to make sure there was no bare spots anytime you walk by! They’ve always loved to sit and snuggle and get lots of pets when i get home in the afternoons.

About: I've taken care of dogs and cats for several years. I'm comfortable and capable of taking care of pets with medical needs including but not limited to insulin. I started fostering cats, kittens, pregnant cats, puppies, and dogs for Midcoast Humane in 2020. I currently work full time as a teacher meaning early mornings and late afternoons free. I also have a comfortable amazing amount of time off with school vacations and summer vacation. During the work week I can be available for early morning walks and afternoons after 3:30. I can also stay with your pet overnight while still working and or have your pet stay in our home. I live in a very peaceful and safe area of Boothbay with very little traffic. We have an unfenced yard with an aerial dog run. We have two older children ages 11 and 13. We also have one female cat age 10 and one small terrier mix age 1 male, both animals have been fixed.
