About: I have been around and taken care of dogs for my entire life, I love dogs and I work extremely well with all that I have encountered. I am currently a college student with a flexible schedule, which allows me to dedicate plenty of time to pet care throughout the week. Since I’m not tied to a strict 9–5 job, I can adjust easily to your pet’s routine, whether that means morning walks, afternoon drop-ins, or evening playtime. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I always follow the specific instructions you provide and treat every pet as if they were my own. I’m reliable, attentive, and respectful of your home and your pet’s unique needs. Whether it’s medication, late-night potty breaks, or just extra cuddle time, I’ll make sure your pet feels secure and cared for.

About: Hi I'm Katie I'm 28 years old and have had my dog Roxy, a husky rott-chow for 8 years now. I absolutely love animals and will take care of them as if they were my own. I go to school and when I'm not working we love going on walks, exploring new places, playing, and learning new tricks and being outside as much as possible. I have experience with dogs of all types and have cared for my dog after her acl surgery so am fairly comfortable with after surgery check ins if needed. I have also had plenty of experience with cats and had volunteered at helping hands throughout high school. Would love to look after your pup for you and would be happy to send you pictures so you can check in on your babies, Im also available on fairly short notice, look forward to meeting you and your pup! I can check on your pets in the morning or late afternoon/evening and can do multiple visits per day if needed. I'm also available on short notice. We'll set up a meeting before my first visit to discuss any tasks you'd like done and also to make sure I am a good fit for your pup or kitten.

About: Loving and caring for animals is truly what I enjoy and love. I am very comfortable around all animals considering I grew up around dogs, cats, cows, horses my entire life while currently owning three dogs, three cats, and a horse. I have been pet sitting for people in my home town for many years. *This is my full time job while being here at KSU for college so other than classes here and there I am free during the day and almost always at night so animals will rarely ever be left alone. I am almost always available and am always around Manhattan. Feel free to message me for last minute bookings if during the week days only! My name is Addy and I am from the Lawrence KS area. I am currently attending KSU as a freshman. I have worked at multiple horse boarding facilities and almost on all holidays have taking care of pets for people in my hometown, which I am now wanting to continue doing here during the school year. I am also currently majoring in animal science production management side. Loving and caring for animals is truly my life and I do not take anything about it lightly the trust that somebody puts into me to provide a safe and loving enviorment for there pets is super important to me because I myself have fur babies that I am very particular with and always want to make sure they will be taken care of correctly when I am away. I am a freshman in college this year at ksu and have plenty of free time during the day and night to come over and watch your animals! I have two classes sometimes three during the day but all of my days are pretty flexible except Monday when I have two classes and a lab. While being up here at KSU and not being able to see all of my fur babies I would love to come and see yours and provide all the care they need to them! I have two puppies, one old dog, three cats, and a horse back at home. I am very good with animals. I would love to come hangout with your fur babies while you are gone or busy at work! I have worked at three horse boarding facilities so I know what it is like to make sure the care is perfect for peoples animals. I enjoy taking care of animals and making them feel loved and safe, I would love to provide that for your pet.

About: I became a foster parent for GPSCA at the end of 2020 after adopting my bubbi with them during the summer. I took care of a mom and 3 puppies as my first assignment, all were adopted! <3 A few months after that, I fostered an older dog who had recently had surgery, who also got adopted after a couple of months with me. I love playing with dogs and getting to know all of their different personalities. My bubbi is an old man who loves to just snuggle and play catch with you. He's all about those TREATS too. Recently promoted to a hybrid job, 3 days in person, Mon-Weds. Unlike before where I was WFH. This would take me away for about 8-9 hours on those days. I know it can be scary for a pet to meet someone new. I like to make any dog I'm pet-sitting feel comfortable in its own environment. Whether that means I just sit there until they are comfy with me or abiding my their normal routine, I don't want them to feel out of place.

Monica did a great job and made me deal super secure while I was away from my babies I truly dread taking vacation just because I hate to leave them. She stayed in touch with me ever step of the way and sent me fun pics to show me how much fun they were having. The only bad news is now my kitty thinks I am going to play all these fun games- lol. Thank you, Monica!

About: I have grown up with dogs my whole life (specifically German Shepard's and Boxers). I now have a family of my own with 9 and 12 year old kids. I have gone to adoption fairs and brought home two dogs now. Our first dog is a lab mix and our 2nd dog is a black lab. They are everything to my family and I which clearly means they are well love and spoiled. They LOVE other dogs off and on our property. About: Hi, I’m Sarah! I’m 18 years old and have loved animals for as long as I can remember. I grew up with both dogs and cats and currently have four dogs of my own, so caring for pets has always been a huge part of my life. I currently work at a dog daycare in Lawrence, where I care for dogs of all sizes, breeds, ages, and personalities. My job includes supervising playgroups, feeding, giving medications, monitoring behavior, and making sure every dog is safe and happy. Working with so many different dogs has taught me how important it is to treat every pet as an individual. I’m also very comfortable caring for cats. Whether your cat is outgoing and social or prefers their own space. I recently graduated high school and will be attending JCCC this fall to start my pre veterinary studies. My goal is to become a veterinarian! My boyfriend, Cameron, is 20 years old and helps me with pet sitting. He absolutely loves animals and has a lot of experience with them. He helped train our German Shepherd from the time he was a puppy and did an amazing job with him. He also grew up with several cats, so he’s very comfortable around both dogs and cats. I just like to be upfront that he may accompany me on visits or overnight stays. We’re both huge animal lovers and enjoy spending time with pets! I work Tuesday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, but I’m available before work, during my breaks, and after work. I also have full availability on weekends and Mondays. Pet care fits naturally into my schedule, and I do my best to be flexible to meet your pet’s needs. When I’m caring for your pet in their own home, my goal is to keep their routine as normal and stress-free as possible. Whether that’s feeding, walks, playtime, medications, or plenty of cuddles, I’ll make sure they get the attention and care they deserve. I know how important it is to trust someone with your pets, and I treat every animal as if they were my own. I’d love the chance to meet you and your pets! Feel free to reach out with any questions or to set up a meet and greet.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of July 2026, there are 603 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Wellsville. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Wellsville. On Rover:

  • 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 99% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 92% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
