“Amy was marvelous! Our dogs took to her immediately, and she was instantly comfortable with them as well. Throughout her stay, Amy sent pictures and let us know how things were going. Not only were the dogs happy and well-cared for, but Amy left our house exactly as she found it. high recommend Amy, for her professionalism and her personal warmth.”

“Miranda did an excellent job taking care of our pups and keeping an eye on our house. She was professional and maintained great communications. We really enjoyed getting the pictures while we were gone. The dogs all seemed to like her, including our one who normally takes awhile to trust people.”

“Emma was AMAZING!! I needed someone last minute and she took amazing care of Ned, sent photos regularly, and was an excellent communicator. And the house was spotless when I got back home! Couldn’t recommend her more highly.”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats for about 2 years now. I have 3 dogs myself, 2 being puppies. So pets are always in my life. I’ve been walking and dog sitting for around 2 years for friends and family’s. I’m currently in college so Christmas break and summer I’m only part-time so I have a lot of extra time to get some walking in! I have a fenced in yard and a puppy to get some play time in with. I live in a neighbors so a lot of safe roads to walk through!
About: My experience includes working with horses, donkeys, sheep, chickens, fish, reptiles, birds and more. I have my own dog Paul, and I've owned dogs and cats in the past as well. My most recent certification is in wildife rehabilitation, and I work part-time as an educator at an aquarium. I surround myself with animals and I hope to do so for the rest of my life. I work on Sundays and Mondays, volunteer on Thursdays, and may be called in on other days. I am responsible for my own animals at home as well. As long as I have time to plan for animal care for others, I will make that care a priority. Clearly written instructions on specific care for your animals is appreciated, but I can use my knowledge and experience to make the right calls if anything comes up.
About: I was born in a household where I was surrounded by dogs. I have had 5 rescue dogs throughout my life. I started dog walking when I was ten years old, and have been dog walking/ dog sitting ever since. My family and I have a dog named Belle, who has been through extensive training, making me familiar with training. I’m also familiar with dogs of all ages ranging from puppies to seniors. I am currently a college student with a flexible schedule. I am on summer break, and would love to help out in anyway I can. Based on the service I am offering, I am familiar with crate/leash training. I am comfortable taking the dog/dogs for walks when needed! I can also feed the dogs as well.

About: I’ve helped take care of my dogs and cat my entire life! I’ve always loved spending time with pets, and as I became a teenager I started watching other people’s animals. It’s the best job in the world! I started going on rover visits with my mom who’s also an animal lover, who inspired me to create my own account! From lizards, to bunnies, to cats and dogs, I love them all! Pet care is my primary focus, my schedule is very flexible and centered around pets. I’m happy to work with you and your pets needs! I am willing to offer whatever your pet needs! Whether that be exercise, grooming, socialization, enrichment activities, or feeding! It varies depending on your animals needs.

“Anna is a reliable pet sitter. All three of our furry family members are relaxed and happy when we return, especially our golden retriever who enjoys her walks and outings with Anna.”

About: I’ve grown up caring for both a dog and a cat, so I’m very comfortable with pets of different personalities, energy levels, and needs. In addition to my own pets, I regularly dog sat a corgi named Allen for two years, giving me hands-on experience with consistent routines like feeding, walking, playtime, and providing lots of attention and care. What sets me apart is how attentive and patient I am with animals! I treat every pet like they’re my own. I’m reliable, detail-oriented, and make sure to follow each pet’s routine closely so they feel safe and comfortable while you’re away. I’m also great with maintaining structure, whether that’s sticking to feeding schedules or making sure energetic dogs get the exercise they need. I currently work part-time, but I have flexible availability during the week and weekends. I am unavailable on Friday nights, but I’m happy to help with mornings, afternoons, and other evenings. I’ll always communicate clearly and make sure your pet’s care fits reliably into my schedule. I prioritize a safe, calm, and clean environment for every pet. I follow your pet’s routine closely to keep them comfortable and stress-free, and I’m always attentive to their needs. I make sure doors and leashes are secure, provide plenty of care and supervision, and communicate with you so you feel confident your pet is in good hands.
About: I’ve owned and cared for pets my entire life, with dedication, experience and loyalty. I would treat your dog as a part of my own family. As an active and athletic retiree, pet sitting seamlessly weaves into my daily life with abundant time to shower pets with attention, play time (someone say jogging?!) and care. In the literal lap of luxury, Toby and Pippin are in a world of pampering with plush beds to gourmet treats. In the 14 1/2 years we had our beloved Golden Retirever … Bozzie… he was our world and gave us the same endless affection we gave him.
“Angela did a great job watching our pets. It’s reassuring to know they are safe and cared for when you are away. She’s calm, responsive and flexible. One pet needed some extra assistance and Angela helped her out. Thank you Angela!”

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Weekapaug walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Weekapaug maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Weekapaug choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
