About: With over 20 years of experience caring for dogs, cats, and even small pets like mice, rats, hamsters, and fish, I bring a lifetime of knowledge and passion to pet care. I’m a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) with 7 years of veterinary experience and 1 year working in a pet resort, so I’m skilled at safely handling pets of all temperaments — from nervous pups to the spiciest of cats (I have one of my own!). I’m also experienced with administering medications and providing calm, compassionate care to ensure every pet feels safe, loved, and well cared for. I’m currently not working, so my schedule is completely open. I have plenty of time to provide your pets with all the attention, care, and love they need. With my veterinary technician background, safety and trust are always my top priorities. While in your home, I provide a calm, secure environment where pets feel comfortable and cared for. I’m skilled in reading body language, handling nervous or fractious pets, and administering medications when needed. Every pet in my care is treated like family, with plenty of patience, compassion, and attention to their unique needs.

About: I have had dogs and cats since I was born. My parents share the same love for animals as I do, and I think I love them more honestly! I’ve dealt with losing a pet, and adding new additions to the family. In my eyes no breed of dog or cat is superior and I would love to meet all the pets I can!! I work part-time so I will put the days I am available into the schedule! On my days off I would be more than happy to take your dogs for walks or do drop in visits with dogs and cats! I also marked all days as available because my hours can be funky and I can sometimes work only 4 hour shifts. I take my dogs for walks frequently. They are a bit stubborn sometimes (especially my olde english) but after we get walking they love being outside! The summer heat gets to them both though, so I would love to get outside!

About: I have had a pets my entire life, mostly dogs and cats. I currently have 2 labs and 1 golden doodle who roam the yard with our farm animals; chickens and ducks. They are kennel trained and wouldn’t be around customer pets. I have 3 kids who love learning and helping out with chores. They are in extra curricular activities but I would ensure a schedule with you before the time of watching your fur baby. My husband is home most nights and weekends (besides hunting seasons) and he works construction during the day. I am home most nights and weekends besides when I have drill with the Iowa National guard, I work full time with the guard. Our dogs currently have an underground fence but because we have one mischievous lab (Mayble) who likes to convince the other two to go on adventures, we kennel her and our youngest (Bailey, golden doodle) during working hours. Our eldest (Max) is pretty lazy and wonders our yard freely during the day and night without his collar.

About: I have experience pet sitting as well as currently working at a Doggy Daycare/Boardinh facility! I grew up on a farm, so I am used to working with animals, and I also have pets of my own! I have taken care of a large variety of pets, from puppies and kittens to senior dogs and cats. I am also used to giving medication to pets that require it! I currently am working part time at a pet care facility, so I would love to incorporate more pet care into my life! I am happy to help wherever I can, however early or late needed! I have a great ability to read a pets body language and help them get used to me when visiting them in home. I also understand boundaries and love walking pets, while also keeping them under control and safe!

I spent years volunteering with All Breed Rescue & Training in Colorado, where I gained experience supporting rescued dogs. For a year, I traveled across the country providing in-home pet care through TrustedHousesitters, staying with pets in exchange for room and board. This allowed me to care for dogs in many different homes, routines, and regions—learning how important consistency, communication, and trust are when owners are away. Today, I share my home with my own small dog, so I understand firsthand how much your pet means to you. Whether your dog needs playtime, structured walks, companionship, or just a calm and reliable presence, I treat every animal like they’re part of my family. I currently work remotely from home and have a flexible schedule. I am available for drop in visits and walks in the middle of the day and check in on your baby. About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats since I was a child. I’ve always owned 1-3 dogs at a time. My dogs have all lived long lives, one even living to age 17, one 16, 14, etc. I currently have 2 dogs; (Reeva) is 4 years old and Izzy is 2 years old. I have a great deal of experience taking care of senior pets(medications, injections, diapers, etc) as well. My one pup had submissive urination that we have worked through and she doesn’t have any issues like that now. She and I are a Therapy Dog team through Alliance if Therapy Dogs. We visit nursing homes, etc. I’m no stranger to unique issues or quirks our pets may have or that may arise when working with animals. My current pups and I have completed many structured training classes. Both have earned her Canine Good Citizen certificate. We have also taken an agility course to help build her confidence. I was a volunteer for the Iowa Service Dog Program and was a trainer under them. I am part of a dog training club. Through this club I have met owners with the same training goals and a group of us have been meeting(with our pets) in pet friendly stores, parks & pet friendly patios to hone our pets training. I do love cats and have had many in my lifetime. The only reason I do not have cat(s) in my home is because my husband is very allergic. I believe pets are family members and I personally treat mine like they are my children. You can feel confident that I will treat yours the same. Side note: I do have some regulars who after getting to know each other choose to just go through me instead of the Rover App. So those visits no longer show up here. One specifically, I have let their pup out over the noon hour every weekday for over 2 years now and also provide “daycare” on Wednesday’s to give her a break in the middle of each week. I also board this pup at my home when they travel. I can drop in once a day or several times once a day. You tell me what your pets needs are and I will meet or exceed those needs. My drop-in’s provide care for your fur baby; letting them out to potty, get some love and attention, playtime, food, medication…. whatever you and your pets needs may be. Of course, I will also provide updates and photos! A little extra will get your furry loved one a nice long walk. I do offer limited In-home boarding - Full boarding or day boarding. I will board one dog (prefer crate trained) in my home at a time. (I have made an exception and boarded “siblings”.) I am better able to provide individualized one-on-one care for your fur baby if I keep the numbers low. When I’ve committed to boarding your dog I do my best to stay home with them as much as I possibly can. (Limiting my time away from home.) This way I can provide extra attention, playtime, walks, pets, belly rubs, snuggle time, training and any other personalized care they may need. I do prefer crate trained, mainly for feeding time since I have 2 pups too, but that is not necessarily a deal breaker. I do have a questionnaire that I require be filled out so I can know your pet as well as possible. This aids in my providing the best care I can! I will be happy to provide updates and photos as much or as little as you’d like during their stay with me. They will go home with a report card telling you all about their stay. There is an additional fee for last minute requests for boarding or day boarding. You never have to worry when they are with me! 🐾

About: I've been taking care of my mom's dog when she is out of town for over 10 years. My brother recently got a puppy and I have added her to my list! Dogs are near and dear to my heart and are treated just like a child on our home! I am a stay at home mom to our 2 year old. We are generally not gone for more than a couple of hours, if at all. About: Hello everyone! My name is Emily and I am a huge animal lover. I am located in Cedar Rapids and almost always available. I have about 15 years of experience with both cats & dogs and have 4 dogs of my own. I have 3 little girls who are 5, 4, and 9 months 😊 We live in a ranch style home and have a fenced in backyard. I am an active person and will give your pet plenty of love and attention. I will also take dogs on walks if they enjoy that. I have never had an owner unhappy with their pets stay. I have a fenced in yard so dogs can be out there and play around as much as they want to when we’re home. If they enjoy playing with other dogs I have 1 bigger one and 3 smaller ones. They will be crated whenever we are not home to ensure they’re safe unless they’re used to free roaming and won’t have accidents or be destructive.

About: I've taken care of dogs specifically since I was like 5. Whether it was a friend's dog, a family members or my own. Cats I have taken care of since I was 8. Changing litter? Done. Walking dogs? Done. Training? I do that too! I actually trained my own service dog who has since retired. Feed and water? Of course! Gotta get the essentials. Following directions, I will follow how YOU want your pet(s) taken care of. I have dealt with chihuahuas to great Danes to dogs bigger than that! No animal is too small. I will pick up messes, play with them, train them if you want, and obviously feed and water them. I can even stay over night with a pet if needed! I know some pets need extra support when their humans are a away, and I understand that may mean me staying over night. I have two dogs and two cats. I take care of the two dogs on a daily basis. Cats? Not so much but I do help out when asked as they are not actually mine but my roommates. I take my dogs out at LEAST 3 times a day typically more in warmer weather. But I take them out at least once when I wake up, once after or before lunch, and once before bed after they've ate their dinner. My dogs have stomach issues and only eat once a day near dinner time for me. I get them out more often to play now that its warming up outside In my clients home, as I don't do boarding at my own home, I can bring my own dog if asked for a play buddy but I would like a copy or to see the vaccination records to be safe. I will make sure the animals get some time to play and have plenty of attention while I am there. I will make sure dogs get outside to potty on either the specified schedule from my client or on a schedule I am able to run, but they will get out as much as I can make happen. Cats I'll make sure get some play time, if you're the kind of cat person who let's their cat out on a catio or leash or trust your cat out on its own for a bit I can make those happen too. I will make sure they have fresh litter when needed/requested. I will make sure both cats and dogs have fresh water and food on a schedule determined by the owner or when its needing refilled/changed.

About: My experience includes behavior modification, rehabilitation and foster care. Since I was my daughters age I have been pet sitting and working with animals and would like to share the experience I work at home everyday but Thursday. We are available for dog walking and live close to a park trail and we are looking for a family interaction. Crate services, roaming and family integrated home. We are able to walk your animals and provide check ins. I know how animals are part of the family.

About: Experienced in walking all size dogs and looking for a walking buddies on regular basis in the Cedar Rapids area in all weather conditions. Flexible schedule I am looking for a dog to walk anywhere from 2 to 4 miles depending on the dog and day and can be flexible with the time. I do have a fenced yard and can entertain at my house for short periods of time. But I am willing to take care of each individual dog depending on its regular routine.
