“Beckett is wonderful! She is kind and my dogs loved her right away. She was able to accommodate a last minute need for a dog walker and really helped me out, especially with my oldest dog who is very headstrong and not everyone is able to handle her. I highly recommend Beckett!”

About: Hi there! I’ve been caring for dogs of all ages and personalities for years — from playful puppies to sweet senior companions. My experience started with fostering young dogs (puppies to 1-year-olds), where I focused on building good habits through positive training and structured play. I now have a Golden Retriever puppy of my own, so I’m no stranger to puppy energy, consistency, and enrichment! He currently is at Hunt Test training and most likely will not be home. Before that, I cared for my elderly family dog, learning the patience and attentiveness needed to support dogs through every life stage. I believe every dog deserves more than just a walk — they deserve time to think, play, explore, and bond. I love incorporating brain games, problem-solving toys, and active play to keep dogs mentally sharp and physically happy. Whether it’s a fun training session, a sniff-filled walk, or cuddle time after a good play, I make sure each pup feels safe, stimulated, and loved. I currently work from home, which helps me keep an attentive eye on your pup! My office is set up with a kennel so that your pups can play or snooze right next to me. Working from home also means I’ll be able to work from your home if that is desired! I am able to shift my working hours in the day, so if we need a nice hour long lunch walk, that’s no issue! Right now, my dog Bo is away at hunt test training, so your pup will have my full attention during their stay or visits. If Bo comes home from training, I’ll always check with you first to make sure you’re comfortable before any introductions or playtime together — your dog’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. At home, I have a secure outdoor play pen where dogs can safely enjoy fresh air and playtime. I’m also in the process of having a full fence installed within the month to provide even more freedom and security for outdoor fun. I take pet safety seriously — from watching for heat and hydration during play to using safe, durable toys. During walks, I make sure each dog is properly fitted with the right collar or harness for their comfort and control. I’m also experienced in using pinch/prong collars correctly and safely for dogs who are trained with them, ensuring a calm and confident walking experience. No matter where I’m caring for your dog — in your home or mine — I strive to create a secure, trusting, and enriching environment where they can relax, play, and thrive.
About: I have experience with all ages and all sizes of dogs and cats. I grew up with cats and watched our neighbors dogs frequently when they were out of town. My grandparents had 2 Great Danes that I watched when they needed assistance and my fiancé has a heeler who I watch when he is at work. My favorite place is the dog park and enjoy taking my pup there whenever I can. I’m currently working part time as a nurse at Surgery Center Cedar Rapids. I am also a part time graduate school student so I am home studying when I’m not at work. Taking my dogs on walks and to the park is what I look forward to the most in my day and gives me a good excuse to take a break! I have a 2 year old blue heeler mix who loves other dogs and would love to meet yours! I live in a spacious home with a fenced in backyard and can easily crate your dog if needed. I live in a very walkable area with a couple of parks near by.
About: Family and Friends have called me the “dog whisperer”, because I am able to connect with their pets so easily. I feel pets are such a big part of your family; your baby, your little one, or your child almost. You would be entrusting me with the care of this most precious part of your family. I love to be down on the floor giving the fur babies my undivided attention … whether it be petting, playing, belly scratching, brushing, or loving on your fur baby. I Love to be face-to-face and making a connection with the pets. I am also a walker myself, so I I love to be outside walking your pets. I work from home and my schedule is extremely flexible. My schedule is able to be put on hold for periods of time, if more time and attention are required or needed. I am able to leave to walk your fur baby, pet-sit at your place, or take care of your fur baby at my home. Pet care is as on-hands and giving as much attention to your fur baby as you wish. I am ready to love them as much as they want and need. I do live in an apartment with places surrounding the building to take dogs outside to potty. There is a new dog park just a block from where I reside. My building is a secure building that is locked with cameras everywhere in the hallways. There are long hallways in my building with very few residents and lots of room to run inside when weather outside is not good. I am able to leave as often as needed to walk dogs. Also, I am able to care for your fur babies in their own home or at my residence.
“Landon is so chill & sweet with Trygve, my sweet Norwegian Elkhound. Tryg loves to "scent walk" and is a big boy and tends to pull very hard ( & I'm a small person), so this has been a win-win for us! Welcome to the family, Landon!”
About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats since I was a child. I’ve always owned 1-3 dogs at a time. My dogs have all lived long lives, one even living to age 17, one 16, 14, etc. I currently have 2 dogs, ove (Reeva) is 3 years old and one (Izzy) is 1-1/2 years old. I have a great deal of experience taking care of senior pets(medications, injections, diapers, etc). My one pup had submissive urination that we have worked through and she doesn’t have any issues to speak of anymore. I’m no stranger to unique issues or quirks that may arise when working with animals. My current pups and I have completed many structured training classes and Reeva earned her Canine Good Citizen certificate. We have also taken an agility course to help build her confidence. I have been a volunteer for the Iowa Service Dog Program for 3 years. She and I are also a Certified Therapy Dog Team through ATD. I am part of a dog training club. Through this club I have met owners with the same training goals and a group of us have been meeting(with our pets) in pet friendly stores, parks & pet friendly patios to hone our pets training. I do love cats and have had many in my lifetime. The only reason I do not have cat(s) in my home now is because my husband is very allergic. I believe pets are family members and I personally treat mine like my children. You can feel confident that I will treat yours the same. I can drop in several times a day or once a day. You tell me what your pets needs are and I will meet or exceed those needs. My drop-in’s provide care for your fur baby; letting them out to potty, get some love and attention, playtime, food, medication…. whatever you and your pets needs may be. Of course, I will also provide updates and photos! A little extra will get your furry loved one a nice long walk. I do offer limited In-home boarding - Full boarding or day boarding. I will board one dog (prefer crate trained) in my home at a time. (I have made an exception and boarded “siblings”.) I am better able to provide individualized one-on-one care for your fur baby if I keep the numbers low. When I’ve committed to boarding your dog I do my best to stay home with them as much as I possibly can. (Limiting my time away from home.) This way I can provide extra attention, playtime, walks, pets, belly rubs, snuggle time, training and any other personalized care they may need. I do prefer crate trained, mainly for feeding time since I have 2 pups too, but that is not necessarily a deal breaker. I do have a questionnaire that I require be filled out so I can know your pet as well as possible. This aids in my providing the best care I can! I will be happy to provide updates and photos as much or as little as you’d like during their stay with me. They will go home with a report card telling you all about their stay. There is an additional fee for last minute requests for boarding or day boarding. You never have to worry when they are with me! 🐾
About: I have had a dog almost all my life and they have always been a passion. This summer I got the opportunity to volunteer at a dog boarding facility and learned how to care for dogs from puppy to senior and aid in medications they might need. I also got to work with the trainer and can help teach basic commands to dogs. I work full time as a nursing assistant. I can’t have any more pets myself and I would take care of your pet as if it were my very own. I will take the pet for walks, depending on weather will determine the length as well as the pet. I would also be willing to wash the pet for the client and help out in any way I could with them.
About: I understand the individuality of animals and how they need to be cared for differently. About: I have had dogs and cats since I was born. My parents share the same love for animals as I do, and I think I love them more honestly! I’ve dealt with losing a pet, and adding new additions to the family. In my eyes no breed of dog or cat is superior and I would love to meet all the pets I can!! I work part-time so I will put the days I am available into the schedule! On my days off I would be more than happy to take your dogs for walks or do drop in visits with dogs and cats! I also marked all days as available because my hours can be funky and I can sometimes work only 4 hour shifts. I take my dogs for walks frequently. They are a bit stubborn sometimes (especially my olde english) but after we get walking they love being outside! The summer heat gets to them both though, so I would love to get outside!
About: My family and myself absolutely love animals! We have dogs and cats ourselves and have had for many years. Most of our animals that we have or have had, we've adopted from shelters or have turned up on our doorstep as strays so naturally, we took them in! We adore animals so much that we should actually live on a farm so we can have more! We call our 13 year old daughter "the animal whisperer", she loves and understands what every animal wants or needs and they love and trust her in return. She knows every breed of dog and everything about them! She's going to be a veterinarian someday, I can already see it now! Animals are part of our family, they have free roam of our house, can snuggle with us on the furniture or in our bed and we play outside with them in our big backyard. We live in a small town so it's perfect for playing outside or taking a walk. Our pets love other animals to play with also! However you take care of your pet, you can count on us to do the same! Just let us know what your pet loves and needs and we'll provide them with that! I'm very flexible and can work around most schedules. Available mornings, afternoons, evenings and nights for drop in visits to your home and walks and available anytime for overnight stays at your home. When in your home, you just let me know what your pet's normal routine is, their likes/dislikes, fave toys/treats and I'll make your pet feel pampered, comfortable and loved!

I also have volunteered for the humane society, and have done animal rescue. I am also am certified in animal reiki! I will treat you fur babies like my own fur babies. About: I’ve been around cats and dogs my whole life, and briefly trained under a licensed behavioral specialist for basic dog training. I also worked at a doggy daycare taking care of pups both on and off the clock, which included regular feedings, medicine (if needed) baths, and playtimes. I always put the comfort of animals first, making sure they’re happy in their space. I’ve been bitten twice but I’m still not shy at making four legged friends! As of right now, I’m finishing up my spring semester in school and will have full availability during the summer time. I would do all of my contracted pet care from 8am to 6pm to allow me to care for my own pets. I’m flexible however and will definitely work with you! Edit: I no longer provide house sitting visits. For safety of myself, I will not stay overnight at any residence. While I have offered house sitting services before, and worked around schedules, it’s too much issue with not a lot of beneficial gain on my end. I apologize for the inconvenience. /end edit I don’t recommend taking animals out of their house, as it can disrupt their natural schedule and have them feel displaced, which can lead to misbehaving or even lashing out. However I have no qualms about driving! I would rather your pet be as stress free as possible, so I do not include in home care at my residence. But I will go above and beyond for your dog or cat and ensure quality care based off of their regular schedule; if they need extra snuggles, I can provide that too!
