Leaving Tarrega with Joanne over the weekend was the best decision. She was so accommodating to my 6 month old puppy as she acclimated him with different surroundings while I was away. She made sure he was happy and comfortable in her house. She sent me pictures to reassure me he was okay. Joanne was so sweet. I’ll definitely leave Tarrega with her for future stays.

It was the perfect place for my pup he had an amazing time. I was sent several pictures each day of him enjoying himself outside. The backyard is fully puppy proof for a great playground. She is very responsive and even cleaned the crate from “excitement sprinkles” Clyde left.

Kim was wonderful with our Scouty! She sent lotsnof pictures, was able to tend to his medical needs, and kept him calm and happy while we were away. It was hard to leave him, as we know he gets anxious when we're away, but we had no worries once he was there. Wonderful experience! Thanks, Kim!

Jousline did an amazing job caring for my French Bulldog, Jorden. She was attentive, reliable, and made sure he was comfortable and well taken care of the entire time. Jorden can be a little particular, but Jousline was patient and handled everything professionally. I also appreciated the updates and communication, which gave me peace of mind while I was away. I would absolutely recommend Jousline to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring dog sitter!

Christine was a great dog sitter for our two dogs Timon and Rafika. They got along well with her dog Piper and I could tell by the pictures they were comfortable and enjoyed their time playing, snuggling and sleeping in their normal comfortable spots. Thank you so much for taking care of our fur babies. Leslie and Rich

From our first communication, Kristin was responsive and thoughtful. She offered a meet-and-greet and we took her up on it. Scout was at home immediately and I felt comfortable booking right away. We were gone for 8 days, which is a long time to leave your your little furry one. Kristin shared regular updates, often enough so that every time I thought about how she was doing, there was a picture of her face - safe and happy and well cared for. I highly recommend Kristin and would definitely ask for her help again if the whole family is traveling.

Carol watched our Hansel for 3 days/2 nights. We were impressed from our initial meet & greet at Carol's neat, organized home. Her demeanor and experience indicated that she would provide excellent care for our pet. We received daily updates including photos that all was well, and Hansel was being his usual sweet self. At pick-up we found our boy happy, and ready to go home - we are confident he had an excellent experience with Carol. We are happy to have Carol as a resource for our future pet sitting needs.

About: What sets me apart is my genuine love for animals and the experience I've gained caring for dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities. I volunteered with ACCT Philly Animal Shelter, where I helped care for both dogs and cats with a wide range of temperaments and needs. That experience taught me how to be patient, attentive, and adaptable, whether working with energetic puppies, shy rescue dogs, or senior pets that need a little extra care and compassion. Animals have always been a huge part of my life. Growing up, my family always had multiple pets, and I was known as the one who spent the most time caring for them. Whether it was feeding, walking, playing, or simply making sure they felt safe and loved, I naturally took on that role because I truly enjoy being around animals. I understand that every dog is different, and I take the time to learn each pet's routine, personality, and needs so they feel comfortable while you're away. Whether your dog loves long walks, playtime, quiet companionship, or extra patience because they're a puppy or senior, I'll treat them like they're part of my own family. Pet care isn't something I fit into my routine—it's a part of my everyday life. I truly believe that when you choose to have pets, you make the time for them. The people closest to me joke that I'm a bit of a "helicopter mom" with my animals, but I think that's exactly why we have such a strong bond. I love going above and beyond to make sure my pets are happy, healthy, and enriched. On nice days, I bring my cats out onto our secure porch so they can safely enjoy fresh air and sunshine. I hide treats around the house to create little "brain games" that keep them mentally stimulated, stay on top of their grooming and hygiene, and make sure each of my pets gets one-on-one attention every day. I think it's important that every animal feels loved as an individual, not just as part of the group. That same level of care is what I bring to every pet I look after. Whether it's sticking to their normal routine, making time for extra play, or simply giving them companionship while you're away, I'll care for them with the same dedication I give my own. I believe the best pet care starts with understanding both the pet's needs and the owner's expectations. I'm also a strong advocate for respecting boundaries—both yours and your pet's. I understand that inviting someone into your home and trusting them with your furry family member can feel nerve-racking. My goal is to make that experience as comfortable and stress-free as possible. Whether you prefer frequent updates, lots of photos, detailed visit summaries, or specific instructions on how you'd like your pet cared for, I'm happy to accommodate your preferences.

Daisy was very sweet and attentive to Hari. She provided us with photos and he looked content in all of them. She gave him his meds and he was walked every day. He looked clean and healthy when we picked him up. We will definitely be using Daisy again.

Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Waretown home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:

  • Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
  • Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
