Paula was honestly the best dog sitter we could have ever asked for. She is humble, kind, and was absolutely wonderful with Cappucino. She was very, VERY patient with him, through his stubbornness, active personality, and especially his barking. I couldn’t ask for any one better to care for my dog. Cappucino is stubborn and it isn’t easy to get him to trust you, especially if he barely knows you. But somehow, Paula managed to win him over! I was so happy when I found out they were starting to become friends. She send us updates, messages, and pictures throughout our entire stay, and is surprisingly quite a nice photographer! I recommend Paula to everyone, and would give her a 10/5 if I could. You won’t regret having her care for your pup!

Our dog Willie had a great time. She sent pictures to us during the day which we loved. He had a nice big yard to play in with other dogs and her kids (Willie loved her little boy). We will definitely be using her in the future.

Danielle kept our girl Trixie for the day while we hosted a bbq for 65 people. Trixie is an escape artist if someone leaves the door or gate open more than 2 seconds so we knew we needed to send her to camp for the day. Danielle sent us a video of Trixie having a blast with the other dogs. Danielle was even flexible enough to deliver Trixie back to our home (same town) as a last minute request. We will definitely use her again. Thanks for pooping my girl out, she slept like a log that night.

Cindy was so responsive, and willing to watch my dog a bit last minute. She sent great updates throughout the day, and Jax left a very happy guy! Cindy is great about taking the em dogs on walks, and not just keeping them cooped up all day. I will 100% use Cindy again, and I would recommend her to any family or friends!

About: A true nature lover I love ALL living things! Yes spiders and snakes too. Especially those who can love back . I've rescued and cared for almost every species. Elder dogs and those with health issues. Medications, injections I'm able to deliver it all. My schedule used to revolve around one of my Yorkies 12 hour insulin schedule. I cooked his meals took him for long walks. He loved the water and we spent long hours at the beach. He recently passed at age 15. I'm now willing to share with other pups who need some care and stimulation. I have a large fenced yard and a pool which one of my dogs and another I sit for loves! My other 2 are couch potatoes and are content to lay in the shade although they do enjoy their walks. We exercise rain or shine

About: Professional Athlete by night…Professional Belly-Rubber by day 🤪 I’ve spent my entire life around dogs and have extensive experience caring for both active dogs and seniors with special needs. I know how important it is to trust someone with your furry family member, so I provide dependable care, lots of attention, regular updates, and plenty of love while you’re away. Whether your dog wants to play, walk, nap, or simply have a companion nearby, I’m happy to make them feel right at home. I had a family dog until 2019 and then rescued my Shiloh two months after. Shiloh had fear aggression and separation anxiety for the first year with me but i learned A LOT from that experience. Shiloh passed away June 6th, 2026 and if you knew her then you would know she went from being fearful to knowing she was safe. Shiloh was almost 11 and i had adopted her when she was 3. She was the only fur baby that was my own but i learned more from her than my family dogs! My dog walking availability is typically between 6:00 AM and 3:00 PM, making me a great option for morning walks, midday potty breaks, exercise sessions, and companionship while you’re at work. I am also available for doggy daycare and overnight stays on a limited basis depending on my training and competition schedule. My home is clean, pet-friendly, and designed to provide a safe, comfortable environment for visiting dogs. I have a large yard that gives dogs plenty of space to explore, play, and burn off energy while being closely supervised. I only accept a limited number of pets at a time so that each dog receives plenty of individual attention and care. Dogs will always have access to fresh water, comfortable resting areas, regular potty breaks, and lots of affection. Whether your dog enjoys active playtime outdoors or prefers a quiet place to relax, I strive to create a calm, safe, and stress-free environment where they feel right at home.

About: Hello, me and my husband both reside in Beachwood, NJ. We have two sweet male cats, Dinky and Boo who are 13 years old & neutered. They are crate trained & do very well with dogs. I grew up around loving and taking care of animals. I have had chickens and ducks, rabbits, dogs, & cats. I have volunteered at local animal shelters & rescued as well. Animals are my passion. I was a LMT & CHHA in the state of NJ, and currently a stay-at-home mom of our two year old daughter. In my spare time, I would absolutely love to play and care for your animals. I own a home on a .25 acre lot with a spacious yard and a walking path right outside our fence! You don’t have to worry about walks or playtime, your dog will get exactly the love and attention they deserve. I currently work from 8am to 5pm. However, my husband has a full-time remote job which allows us to have constant care and attention for your animal! I have a fenced yard on a 0.25 acre lot. This allows for access to our backyard as well as a walking path around the corner.

My 8 month cavapoo Winnie loves to spend the day at Rebecca’s house! When I come pick her her up she cries to go back inside. She enjoys playing with other puppies and interacting with the family through the day! The house is clean and the dogs are watched the whole day so it’s a nice safe environment for your pups. Highly recommend!!!

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of August 2026, there are 397 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Waretown. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Waretown commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 397 sitters in Waretown, 81% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
