“Bonnie did a great job with my babies. She was super responsive through the entire process, came over for a meet and greet, showed up on time the day of, and sent a photo update. I will definitely be using Bonnie the next time I need help.”

“I was very hesitant about doing drop in visits. However, I cannot recommend Flora enough. She was trustworthy right from the beginning. She came twice a day to care for my cats. I received pictures and medicine updates. I will 100% be booking with her again for our next trip. She is prompt, trustworthy and great to work with!”

About: I’ve taken care of all sorts of animals, from goats to chickens to house cats. I own a dog, who’s a year and a half old now, but I trained him from the time he was 8 weeks old. I also had a senior dog in my teens that I took care of. I have never met a critter I don’t love!! I’m currently a stay at home mom to my young daughter so I have plenty of time to pour all the love into your pup or kitty (or other!). My schedule is flexible to suit your needs and your fur baby’s preferences. I have a happy, friendly mid sized heeler pup who just loves other dogs and cats. I am happy to crate him if you are more comfortable with our critters not interacting while in my home, and of course, he will remain at my house while I care for your animals in your own home.
“Betty did a great job taking the time my boy needed to get more comfortable on his first visit. He's a super sweet boy but shy and apprehensive at first. She helped make him feel comfortable and he warmed up quickly. I expect the next visits will be even better. Thank you Betty!”

“Audrey did a great job taking care of my cats while I was away! I have four, so cleaning their litter boxes every day is no easy task but I came home to clean boxes and happy cats. I would definitely recommend Audrey and I hope she is available next time I go out of town!”
“Michael was prompt, courteous, and a great troubleshooter when problems arose with our electric dog door. He took awesome pictures of our cuties while we were away, and managed an extensive list of requests regarding our doggie care. We appreciated he was willing to meet our dogs before taking on their care. In addition, he was very understanding of the differing needs of our senior and younger dog. We would highly recommend him and plan to use him again in the future.”

About: I have been a pet sitter for the last 10 years. I used to do over night stays but now do drop in visits. I am a teacher in Guilford county but live in walnut cove. I’ve had 2 dogs and 6 cats but now have none so looking for some animals to visit! I do have experience in giving medicine to cats. My last cat had severe urinary cystitis. I can’t wait to meet your fur babies! Currently early mornings(6-630am), afternoons(anytime after 430), and weekends. Since I am a teacher, I will have more flexibility starting in June. Weekday afternoons will open up. I do not offer overnight stays but can easily come to you! I can do dog walks, cat/dog feedings, or check ins. I am here to help care for you fur babies!
About: Hello! My name is Abigail, and I’ve been passionate about caring for animals for as long as I can remember. I currently have four wonderful fur babies: three Shih Tzu’s and a husky, along with a lovely cat. I take great pride in treating every pet I care for as if they were my own. Whether it’s feeding, watering, administering medication, cleaning litter boxes, or engaging in playtime and cuddles, I ensure each animal receives compassionate and attentive care. I especially enjoy the special bond that forms through play and affection, making sure your pet feels loved and comfortable while you’re away. My schedule is flexible during the summer months (June and July). The rest of the year, I am available in the evenings and on weekends since I am a full-time college student, soon to be teacher in January. Therefore, I can meet your pet’s needs! I am also happy to stay overnight in your home and be your pet’s friend if you wish. Additionally, I will send daily updates and pictures during your absence. Please feel free to reach out with any questions. Thank you! I will provide the utmost care when taking care of your furry babies. I ask that you let me know your pet’s usual routine, and I will continue it while you're away. I have experience caring for pets in their owners' homes. Therefore, I will water, feed, and administer pills (if needed) to your pets. I will also clean litter boxes and tidy up, ensuring any pet hair and related messes are taken care of. Additionally, I will play and cuddle with cats, and play, cuddle, and exercise with dogs.
About: I’ve been taking care of dogs since I was 11 years old. Family, friends and neighbors have entrusted me to come into their homes to feed, let out, clean up and give lots of attention and love to their pets. I am a teacher’s assistant at an elementary school, so I’m available early mornings and anytime after 3:30 during the week. I’m also available on weekends and during the summertime. I’m currently unable to take pets in my home as I have my own sweet Labrador Retriever and Australian Labradoodle and an adorable cat, but I’m available to travel to your residence to take excellent care of your pets.
“Katy is amazing! She’s conscientious, kind, and incredibly polite. Always on time and so sweet with my furbabies, she clearly loves what she does. I always get great updates and the cutest photos, which gives me total peace of mind while I’m away. You can tell she truly cares about the pets she looks after. Rest assured—your furbabies will be in the best hands with Katy!”

“Roselynn was great to work with! She even managed to get a picture of my very shy cat. She is a great communicator and gave me updates every day. I look forward to having her pet sit my cat Ziggy again.”

“Laura is the best! He has helped us a lot the days we are working, she takes very good care of our puppy and always sends us photos and videos of him. Totally recommended!!”

About: Hello! I'm Bella! As a college student working in vet med my first task is to provide safe and fun care for your pet. I have several years of animal experience ranging from proffesional zoological work down to neighborhood petsitting. I arrive with a positive attitude and provide a plethera of pictures! I work best with clients seeking early morning or evening care! Unfortuantly mid-day care (lunch) is not available at this time when working with my classes :) First things first- I learn from you! Let me know your pet's routine and I'll stick to it! I have a dog, kitten, and several exotics of my own, so I'm used to a full routine!
About: I have a soft spot for animals because I grew up with lots of them and hope to help strays in the future. I’ve helped my mom my entire life with her dog business so I’m very familiar and comfortable with caring for dogs! I have a very flexible schedule so I’m typically available if needed. I am able to do a few drop ins a day and for long term clients, overnight stays. If your pet needs to be let out in a fenced area or walked I can do that along with feeding and providing fresh water when needed. Additionally, I don’t mind a little enrichment such as playing fetch or a little tug of war. All animals should feel safe and comfortable and I provide that feeling.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
