“Allen was great! I needed a last minute sitter and Allen was the perfect choice. Great communication and put up with my silly dogs with no complaints. Left my house in great condition. I look forward to having him stay with my beasties again. Thank you so much! 💜”
“We usually have family take care of our dogs but being new to the area, we no longer have that option. We weren’t comfortable with leaving our dogs in a kennel so we found Laura. Not only was she affordable, but she came to our place so our dogs can stay where they are comfortable. Laura was great and we loved the updates and pictures. She was even able to accommodate another night stay when we decided to wait a day to come home. Will definitely be using her services again in the future.”

“We loved Kelsey. She was always available to answer all our questions, and very flexible when changes came up. House looked better upon return than when we left. Highly recommend.”

“Alissa came for a couple of nights prior to our taking a bigger trip so she could help my very anxious rescue dog feel more comfortable. We appreciate that she's so flexible and helpful. Makes it a lot easier to go away for a longer trip knowing the dogs are in caring hands!”

About: Hi, all! Years of living with and caring for pets and working as a veterinary assistant has led me to be attentive, knowledgeable, and most importantly, so loving to any and all animals. I currently care for a pup, cat and ducks in my life. I intend to care for your pet as if it were my own! I am easy-going, flexible and willing to abide by any reasonable requests in care-taking. This won’t be considered “work” for me. It’s a bonus for the joy of spending time with and caring for animals and helping out pet parents as well :) I hope to meet you and your pet soon! Krista E. As far as my schedule, I am completely open during the daytime. I work evening shifts five days a week, but my schedule changes weekly. For walking: 1-2 walks a day from the hours of 8-3. I can also do night walks on days that I work, outside of the hours of 3-10ish, depending on the day. If I am off, I can walk at any time in the day or evening. I am willing to make multiple visits in a day. For House Drop-Ins: Similar to above, the evening times may vary. For House Sitting: I receive my schedule weekly, so I am available for overnight at least twice a week. However, if consecutive days are needed, I will be available for morning and afternoon care, but will have to leave for work and return afterward at night. Again, this time varies, so it will be either 3-8:30/9ish that I am gone, or 4-10/11ish. I can understand if this is an issue, but am willing to walk during the day, feed, and let out for a potty break as soon as I am able. I do not accept pets in my home because of the other animals already here, but as far as in yours, I am clean, courteous, quiet, respectful, and most importantly, there to keep your pet well-cared for, entertained, and at ease.
“Meghan was amazing! She was very attentive to my 2 dogs and my cat. She gave everyone cuddles too of course! I loved all the pictures she sent me. 10/10 recommend, she’s great :)”

“Katherine as great! Took excellent care of our fur babies and left everything as it was when we left. She did an amazing job and the boys seemed to enjoy their time with her. She went above and beyond to make them feel loved and comfortable. She sent pictures and kept in touch to let us know how they were doing. Will definitely use her again if we have a need. :)”

“We couldn't have asked for a better pet sitter! From the moment we met Cindy, we felt confident that our pets would be in great hands, and she exceeded every expectation. Leaving our animals is never easy, especially with a puppy who struggles with separation anxiety and a cat who absolutely adores his people. Knowing that she was here with them gave us such incredible peace of mind while we were away. She was patient, attentive, and genuinely caring with each of our pets, taking the time to understand their individual personalities and needs. When we returned home, our dogs were happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for, and our cat was his usual affectionate self. It was obvious that they received plenty of love, attention, and companionship while we were gone. The updates and communication throughout our trip were wonderful and helped us feel connected to our pack even from a distance. It is such a gift to find someone you can trust with your furry family members, and we are so grateful for the care Cindy provided. We would absolutely book with Cindy again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a compassionate, reliable, and trustworthy pet sitter. Thank you for taking such wonderful care of Watson, Merlin, and Ainsworth!”

About: I have always had dogs growing up and have had cats the last 2 years. They are family and I love yours the way I love mine. I’m available 24/7 for ALL of your pet care needs. I know that every pet is different and requires special care. It is not a one size fits all. I prefer pet sitting at your home because it is more comfortable and convenient for your pet. They already have to get used to a new person I don’t like to add stress by putting them somewhere unfamiliar to them.
About: I grew up surrounded by animals of different species, breeds, and temperaments! I love learning the personalities and quirks from our furry, scaled, and feathered friends! I also had the privilege of attending and graduating from an accredited Veterinary Technician program and am licensed as an RVT. I work full time in a veterinary practice but I am fully available on weekends and available after 6:30pm during the week. I am available for overnight stays as well with appropriate notice. I am fully adaptable to your pets routine and needs whether that be leashed walks or supervised play in a fenced yard. I enjoy playing with cats! My experience in veterinary medicine has given me the confidence to work with more nervous pets as well.
About: Hi there! I’m Z, and I’m a lifelong animal lover with a deep understanding of both cats and dogs. I’ve grown up with dogs and have a wonderful cat of my own. I also have years of experience caring for the pets of both my family and friends. Whether it’s playtime, cuddles, or ensuring your pet sticks to their routine, I treat every furry friend like they’re part of my own family. As someone who works part-time during the day, I have the flexibility to provide pet care in the mornings, evenings, and weekends. My schedule allows me to plan drop-in visits, walks, or playtime around your pet’s needs. Caring for animals is a natural part of my routine since I already care for my own cat. Whether it’s an early-morning visit before work or evening cuddles, I’m happy to adapt to ensure your pet feels loved and well cared for. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on making them feel safe, loved, and happy in their familiar surroundings. I stick to their established routines, whether it’s feeding schedules, playtime, or walks, to keep things consistent and comforting for them. For dogs, that might mean exciting walks or outdoor play, while cats might prefer quiet companionship or engaging with their favorite toys. I make sure their environment stays clean and safe, and I’m happy to administer medications or meet any special needs. Along with meeting their physical needs, I give plenty of cuddles and attention to help them feel secure and loved. I treat every pet like part of my own family, ensuring they’re well cared for until their owner returns.
About: I have been raised around rescuing animals and raising them my whole life. My main focus is to spend time with dogs and show them love and just to make them feel loved, important, and just happy. I’m not in here for the money I’m really here just to see dogs and apapacharlos with love and attention. Hope You can trust me with your Dogs and allow me to provide them with just a grain of similarity of love that you have for them. I Come from rescuing animals from the streets of Puerto Rico, having them feel the need to protect themselves and even biting the hand that is feeding them just because of there past. I understand the pain and I am more patient and understanding.
About: I’ve been around animals my entire life and genuinely love caring for them. I grew up in a homeschooled household with a dog and three cats, so being hands-on with pet care was just part of everyday life. As a kid, I was known around my neighborhood for walking dogs, pet sitting, and helping out wherever I could—even mowing lawns for neighbors—so responsibility and reliability were instilled in me early on. I also spent time working on an alpaca farm, which gave me experience caring for animals with different needs and personalities. In my adult life, I regularly help care for my sister’s three dogs, and since she’s a veterinarian, I’ve learned a lot about animal behavior, health, and proper care through her. I’m also very involved with my two nephews, so patience and attentiveness come naturally to me. One of the most meaningful experiences I’ve had was caring for our family dog, Toby, in his later years. As the youngest, it became my responsibility to make sure he was comfortable, safe, and well cared for as he aged. He lived to be 16, and that experience taught me a lot about compassion, consistency, and the importance of attentive care. Pet care fits easily into my daily routine because I already structure my days around being consistent, active, and attentive. I’m used to building my schedule around responsibilities, so walks, feeding times, and check-ins feel like a natural part of my day rather than something extra. On a weekly basis, I regularly help care for my sister’s dogs, so I’m already in the rhythm of walking, feeding, and spending quality time with pets. I also keep a flexible schedule, which allows me to give pets the time, attention, and care they need without rushing. Overall, I enjoy having pet care as part of my routine—it keeps me active, present, and doing something I genuinely enjoy. I focus on keeping pets comfortable by maintaining their normal routine as closely as possible. In a client’s home, I follow all care instructions carefully—feeding schedules, walks, medications if needed, and any specific preferences—so your pet feels safe and stress-free in their own environment. I also make sure they get plenty of attention, playtime, and companionship, not just the basics. If I’m caring for a pet in my home, I provide a clean, calm, and safe environment where they can relax. I keep a consistent schedule for feeding, walks, and bathroom breaks, and I’m always attentive to their behavior and needs. I make sure they feel included and comfortable, whether that means active play or just relaxing nearby. No matter the setting, my priority is making sure each pet feels secure, cared for, and happy while you’re away.
“Blair was wonderful. This is the first time using her. ( she lives next door so it was extremely convenient). We've had the puppies for a month, this was the 1st time leaving them. They warmed up to real quick. Followed instructions. Will definitely use her again.”

About: I have great experience with taking care of all pets. I have also fostered multiple animals in the past couple of years and love it! I am currently working a part-time remote job, so I have a very flexible schedule. With a lot of free time, pet-sitting will definitely work well. Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of August 2026, there are 561 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Wallace. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Wallace walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Wallace maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Wallace choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Wallace. On Rover:
- 98% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
