Miah J.

“About 3 months ago we adopted our sweet shelter dog, Oscar. Not entirely sure of what we were getting ourselves into, we brought 3 yr old Oscar home. He was extremely affectionate and very dependant on humans. When my boyfriend and I would leave Oscar at home alone he would whine and bark, causing our neighbors to complain to the apartment management. The noise became so bad that we were asked to find Oscar a new home. Instead of taking him back to the shelter, Miah took him in and worked diligently with him. Miah trained Oscar to sit, lay down, and made him feel comfortable with being in the crate. He taught Oscar how to be part of a pack and gave him confidence. During the month that Miah had Oscar, he also showed me and my boyfriend how to be pack leaders and the importance of leading Oscar to success. We've had Oscar back for a few weeks now and we couldn't be happier. Each day we make progress and I feel we gain a little bit more of his trust. I have never met a person who loves dogs as much as he does. We call him the Gilbert dog whisperer. I am forever grateful for what Miah has done for us and Oscar. He saved our sweet boy.”

Alexa V.
“I’m writing to wholeheartedly recommend my friend Alexa as a pet sitter on Rover. I’ve had the pleasure of knowing her for 5 years, and I can confidently say that few people demonstrate the same natural connection with animals, along with the responsibility and genuine care that Alexa brings to every interaction. She has extensive hands-on experience with a wide variety of animals—ranging from dogs and cats to birds and even equestrian animals. This broad background has given her an exceptional understanding of animal behavior, routines, and individual needs. Whether it’s a high-energy puppy, a shy senior cat, or a strong-willed horse, Alexa knows how to engage with them in a way that is both calming and respectful. What sets Alexa apart is her attentiveness and reliability. She is the kind of person who will go the extra mile to ensure pets are not just fed and walked, but truly cared for—emotionally and physically. She is also highly communicative, keeping owners informed with regular updates, photos, and check-ins, which provides peace of mind when you’re away from your beloved pet. If you’re looking for someone trustworthy, kind-hearted, and experienced to care for your furry (or feathered!) family member, I can’t recommend [Friend’s Name] enough. Your pet will be in capable and loving hands. Please feel free to reach out if you’d like to hear more about my experience with Alexa. Warm regards, Trae R.”
