Emily was a lifesaver when my other walker arrangements fell through. Despite my last-minute contact and her already-busy day she replied promptly and tended to my pup Fred with above and beyond quality attention. Fred had a great walk with Emily, I received adorable smiley dog photos, super win-win. She even kindly topped off Fred's water when back home. Thanks so much, Emily!

English is amazing! She took good care of my senior dog Rex. She was patient and kind and kept me posted the whole entire time. She is reliable and always on time. Which was crucial with Rex having mobility issues and needing to go to the bathroom more often. I will book her again.❤️

Super friendly, good vibes. My old pup blitz, who can be a bit grumpy, took to her pretty fast. Took pictures and gave daily updates of our babies.

About: Hi, My name is Taylor! I am a recent college graduate. I’m a huge animal lover!! I have worked and volunteered with animals for the past 6 years. I enjoy going outside on a nice breezy day to the dog park with my lovely dog Sophie. She is a 10-year-old Hound Terrier Mix who loves smaller dogs to play with! A 3 year old tuxedo cat named milk who has tons of spunk. I also own a total of 20 aquarium fish and a 3-year-old lovely Leopard Gecko. I couldn’t imagine my life not being surrounded by furry friends so, I can’t wait to meet you and your furry best friend! I can assure you that your pet will have the best time! I am currently working a full time job. I will be able to care for your pet in the early morning, late evening and night. Pets often feel more comfortable in their own home. I would respect my clients home, just like how I would want someone to respect mine. At this time I am NOT ACCEPTING DOGS for BOARDING. ONLY HOUSE SITTING at your home.

About: I love dogs! I have had multiple dogs for years and love scratching their itches and giving lots of attention! I'm available nights and weekends to keep your pup safe, fed and loved! I have 1 very cuddly sweet bulldog but the don't ever have to interact with your dog at all. I'm flexible to whatever owners want for their best friends and family members. I really cannot wait to take care of your dog and spoil them with a lot of love and attention. If possible we will have high energy walks and playtime and lots of naps. I want to be a sitter because I really care about dogs and the money is secondary to providing dogs with great experiences and lots of care. I work from home so available to care for your pups all day and through out the week. Please let me know if the schedule needs adjustment. I have a fenced yard and 1 very docile dog of my own. It's really quiet here with few pets, people and no obstacles to interfere.

About: I am Erin and I've lived in Charles County for over 10 years. I am blessed to be a part of this community. I work as a kennel attendant at a local pet resort, and I've taken care of fur babies big and small. I am equipt to handle any breed at any age. I am particularly good at handling dogs on walks, and stay aware of my surroundings and the body language of a dog to make for a smooth walk. I have been certified by The Dog Guru in Dog 101 and 201 (canine body language training and play groups training). I love spending time with dogs and love to give them all my love and attention. My availability will change from week to week depending on my schedule at the pet resort. If you book early enough I will be able to accommodate you before my weekly work schedule comes out. I do not care for pets in my home, so I would come to your home for pre-scheduled walks. Before booking a walking schedule we can discuss logistics.

Quiana has been phenomenal with my Coco. I needed a walker twice per week now that I’m back in the office full time and she has been amazing. We did an initial meet and greet as my dog is a pandemic dog and adjusting to a new routine and is not very open to new people. Quiana has been incredibly patient and her care and love for dogs shines through. Thank you so much!

Tieler is the answer to my prayers-literally! I was in a time crunch to locate a reliable, caring, professional, and kind person to care for my fur baby daily and voila, Tieler responded. Tieler developed such a special bond with my senior fur baby that he insists on sharing his new toys with her and is genuinely excited when she arrives. THANK YOU Tieler for being so OUTSTANDING!

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Waldorf. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Waldorf.

  • 89% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
