“Karen and Chris were great with our cat! He can be a bit annoying looking for attention but they were patient and he was spoiled and well cared for. Looking forward to booking with them again.”

“We had an exceptional experience with Jesus, our pet sitter. We had to change our plans and modify the pickup time last minute, but he was incredibly accommodating and flexible. Throughout our trip, Jesus kept us updated on our pup’s well-being. He sent us multiple pictures and reassured us that our furry friend was doing great while we were away. We truly appreciated everything Jesus did during our stay and would highly recommend him to anyone seeking a reliable pet sitter. We had an outstanding experience, and we would give him a perfect score of 100 out of 100!”

“Gilian was a fantastic sitter and gave tons of attention to my dog throughout the whole process. She gave extremely thorough updates and her system provided my dog with lots of socialization which made me feel more comfortable while I was gone. I would not hesitate to leave my dog in her care again.”

“We could not have been happier with the care that Laura and her family provided for our 2-year-old Black Lab, Jewel, while we were in New York for five days. Laura checked in regularly and shared funny photos of Jewel clearly living her best life! Laura and her family went above and beyond—they even set up a small plastic pool, which Jewel seemed to thoroughly enjoy, along with plenty of playtime and frolicking with the children. Their fenced-in yard and quiet neighborhood provided a safe and welcoming environment. When our return flight was unexpectedly canceled and we needed to stay an extra day in New York, Laura was incredibly accommodating and flexible. We felt completely at ease knowing Jewel was in such good hands. I highly recommend Laura and her family to anyone looking for loving, reliable, and attentive pet care.”

“Judy was fantastic. We didn't want to put our dog in a kennel and having Macduff stay at Judys house was the perfect answer. He came back very tired and happy. We highly recommend her and would use her again.”

“Monique went above and beyond for my little pup. I asked her last minute to dog sit and with no hesitation she helped me out swiftly and provided helpful details before the drop off. My pup had tons of fun and made friends- we’re looking forward to the next one!”

About: I have experience caring for animals of all kinds, though I can currently only offer in-my-home care to dogs. I have always had family pets growing up. I got my own dog when I was in high school. I currently own 2 well-mannered dogs, a hunting labrador and a scent detection pit-mix. I have more than 2 years of professional gun dog training experience, and have trained over 50 puppies/dogs. I currently work from home, so I will be able to accommodate any schedule your pet may need. My own dogs recieve 2 feedings per day (5am and 5pm). We often take a morning walk (typically no less than 1-2 miles, less if I am walking a young puppy or senior dog with mobility issues). Also evening walks if weather is appropriate. I do not allow my dogs to do strenuous activity or rough play right after a meal. The yard is not fenced, so dogs will be on leash or long-line and fully supervised when outside the home. For off-lead outdoor fun we will take trips to the local dog park (not a very heavily trafficed dog park, usually empty). I have experience providing oral and subcutaneous medication to pets, should your pet need medication while in my care.

“Cathy was a great sitter for Bandit! She was very communicative, reasonably flexible, and captured so many cute moments of Bandit’s stay with her. I would absolutely book Cathy again.”

“Had consistent updates and felt very comfortable leaving Furb with Hannah & Braxton B while we were on vacation. Furb said it went super well and already misses his new friends.”

“Diane and Dale went above and beyond to accommodate our schedule and care for Oliver. He fit right in with their dog, Lexi, enjoyed the walks around the pond and was well-loved. I highly recommend them!”

“Our Linus had such an enjoyable time with Mary! He was comfortable with her from the minute he walked in the door! Mary made it so easy for us too! She had so many toys, blankets, bowls, leash etc, it made preparing for his stay a breeze! Mary's love for dogs is evident and her caring nature made it easy to know we were leaving our baby in good hands!! Wish I could give her more than 5 stars!! She is the BEST!”

“Frankie did an amazing job of taking care of Sammi. She sent pictures and video. Very sweet, kind, dependable. I felt very comfortable going away for the weekend entrusting Sammi to Frankie and her business partner Gabe!! ??”

“Cheryl did a great job watching our dog over the weekend. She was communicative and sent lots of pictures and updates. Bailey was happy and rested when we picked her up. Cheryl opens her whole home to the doggies she cares for.”

“Kristin was available pretty last minute and really flexible and generous with pick up time! Marigold and Tilly seemed tired with joy and slept great when we got home :) thank you Kristin!”

“My pups Kobi and Teddy were well taken care of, they were welcomed into Shannon’s home and seemed to enjoy their stay. We will book with Shannon again I’m sure. Thanks so much for the care of our pups.”

“We had a sudden event come up and Emma was able to watch our lil coco on short notice. Meeting Emma for the first time, she quickly put my anxiety about leaving coco at ease. Our lil coco was happy and had wonderful care while staying with Emma. She sent us daily photos and update on how Coco was doing! We are extremely happy with the care provided for the animals and will definitely bring Coco again.”

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
