About: I’ve worked with dogs since I was a child. I’ve been exposed to large dog breeds (ex. Rottweilers & German Shepherds) as well as small dog breeds (ex. corgis & dachshund's). I am a certified dog trainer, with 9 years experience and can work in some Basic Obedience work with your dog during their stay or we can talk about some behavior modification and steps to move forward for private lessons. I currently work part time and have plenty of time and energy to work with and take care of your pup. I work with my own dogs twice a day but those sessions are very flexible. I don’t currently have a fully fenced in yard, but I have access to 5 private acres I can walk your pup on a long line. I utilize martingale collars to prevent any mishaps or escaping. I utilize positive reinforcement to connect and have clear communication with each dog I interact with.

We have three cats and one dog, and our dog had to wear a cone for medical reasons during our six-day trip, so we were understandably a little nervous. She stayed at our home and took excellent care of both our pets and the house. We were completely comfortable with the pets being alone for up to eight hours, but we really appreciated that she kept us informed anyway. It was clear our pets were happy and well cared for, and we came home to relaxed, happy animals and a clean house. I hired Matt for house and dogsitting while I was away for New Years, and he was very friendly and professional throughout the process. He kept up my young and active dog’s daily routines well, he sent me occasional updates, and he was very responsive when I reached out with questions. I’d definitely hire Matt again.
