About: Hello there! My name is Helena. I love dogs and dogs love me! As one famous novelist wrote, “dogs are cheerful ambassadors of foreign planets" and I cannot agree more. These furry creatures give us unconditional love and joy, they are great philosophers and teachers who show us how to live and enjoy the present. Their company is something I deeply value. Even thought I don't have my own pet I slowly become pet-sitters for my friends and family during several last years. I have met many breeds and characters and I absolutely adore spending time with them! I can provide long walks around our neighborhood, fun runs on the beach, and playful visits to the doggie park. I am also skilled in puppy care and basic training, and have experience looking after senior dogs. I consider myself a reliable and responsible person who will always follow all your instructions because my priority is to create a safe and enjoyable space for your furry friend! I am a visual artist currently working from home. My schedule is very flexible and I am available on weekends, holidays and workdays after 10am. We have a family house with a fenced front patio and a fenced backyard. Our unit is on the first floor. The ground floor is occupied by our tenants who own a small and very friendly dog. All areas of our home are open for your dog to find its own space.

“Emily was super kind and patient with our dog. She was very clearly prepared for her visit and made sure to be cautious of her introduction to her dog. My dog can be very shy and antisocial so it was very nice to hear that they got along so well. Emily was also very flexible with my times and communicative with quick response times. Thank you Emily!!”

“Francesca was absolutely wonderful! It was my pup’s first time staying at a doggy daycare so I was anxious but Francesca made sure to provide photos and updates throughout the day to ensure I was at ease. She was a great sitter and I would recommend her!”

“Maya had an amazing time at Mickie's for doggy day care. My dog is very high energy and she was able to handle her. Maya can be a little minion and is not for the weak lol. I have never seen my dog so happy and exhausted! Her two dogs, Kodie and Ollie are the cutest and wrestled all day with her. I recommend her for sure if you need someone to help out with your fur baby - she is responsible and reliable.”

About: As a retired mom with a calm lifestyle and a spacious home in Marina del Rey, I’m available full-time to give pets my full attention, patience, and love. I have experience with senior pets, special needs animals, and pets on customized routines — including administering medications and providing gentle support for anxious or older pets. Nutrition is also a passion of mine. I avoid highly processed foods and fillers and instead focus on natural, species-appropriate meals. I’m well-versed in raw feeding, and I always prepare food with the highest hygiene standards, using only quality sources and safe practices to help avoid any risks like parasites or bacteria. Your pet’s health and happiness are my top priority, inside and out. Whether your dog or cat needs long walks, a gentle routine, or just a peaceful companion while you’re away, I’ll make sure they feel at home and loved. As a devoted cat mom to Filon, I truly understand the feline mindset — their independence, their quirks, and their need for calm, consistent care. I offer a quiet, clean, and spacious home in Marina del Rey, perfect for cats who need a peaceful place while their humans are away. I'm experienced with all types of cats — from shy or senior kitties to playful, high-energy ones. I take pride in keeping litter boxes impeccably clean, creating a stress-free environment, and respecting each cat’s personality and boundaries. I'm also comfortable administering oral medications and have experience monitoring health through behavior and appetite changes. Nutrition is a huge focus in my pet care. I avoid commercial fillers and prefer natural, high-quality foods. I also support raw feeding, with careful attention to hygiene and sourcing to avoid parasites or contamination. Whether your cat is a cuddler or prefers their own space, I’ll provide the calm, loving, and attentive care they need while you're away. In my home, pets are treated like family — with freedom to relax, play, and feel secure in a calm, clean environment. I live in a gated apartment community in Marina del Rey, which adds an extra level of security and peace of mind. We have our own private green space as well as a dedicated dog park area specifically for potty breaks and playtime. Just around the corner is a beautiful public park by the marina, perfect for peaceful walks and a change of scenery. My home is tidy, pet-safe, and designed to be a calm oasis — especially for animals who are used to structure and gentle routines. I’m home full-time, so your pet will never be left alone for long periods. If I’m caring for pets in a client’s home, I bring the same level of attentiveness and respect, always following routines, maintaining a clean space, and sending regular photo updates. Your pet’s physical and emotional safety is my top priority, whether they’re staying with me or I’m visiting them in their own space.

About: I have had dogs all my life but nothing compares to adopting on your own! Here to help new and old parents with their daily doggie needs and hoping to make some friends for my dog Frances along the way. Frances was a tough puppy — didn’t take to the crate, separation anxiety, high energy, but super smart, so I am compassionate to all varying needs and struggles. Hoping to make your life easier by providing a loving and fun experience for your dog. Brand new to officially sitting on Rover so only taking one dog at a time. Other requirements: -Must get along with my dog and need to meet in advance -Must be open to car rides as sometimes I’ll work from a dog-friendly office nearby I work full-time and have a dog friendly office space for the days I choose to go in. The dogs in the office are free to roam and there is a large fenced in courtyard. Most days the office only has 3-4 people in it. Regardless, we will go on walks throughout the day and your dog will have a play buddy at the house or office. No yard but I have a very large patio for the dogs to soak up the sun all day and bark at the neighbors. Ok with training needs for puppies and dogs that need to be crated.

About: My motto is: "Dogs, kids, and mosquitos love me!" Darned if I know why--must be one of my "superpowers" as they say. I have taken care of senior dogs, most recently for two weeks with Georgia near Bangor, Maine. I spent 3 and a half months with Xander in Berkeley, California. Also a month with Lucy & Charlie (Brown?) in Topanga County, CA. I've also enjoyed being with Toby, Latka, and Sookie in San Diego CA. Plus, Luna and yes, another Luna in Los Angeles. Special skills include a long attention span, creative mind, ability to play for hours, up and at 'em early in morning. Also: laying down with dogs and not waking up with fleas! I am a freelance journalist and author who writes books at home. Thus, I rarely leave the house, except to go to a library to work there. Four tomes so far, working on #5, with animals to be with and love--can't beat it! Xander, Sookie, Toby, Ted, Latka...if only dogs & cats could speak! (Sookie did do some kind of sing-song when I played harmonica...) The key to my care is slowing down and showing enormous patience, using experience, and giving mucho attention to love my fellow creatures enormously.

“I am always nervous about leaving my dog with a new sitter, he’s a Maltese and quite an anxious pup by nature but Amir and Steph were wonderful with him. They kept me updated through the day and sent some cute photos. I came back to a happy, relaxed (ish), sleepy dog who had obviously enjoyed himself - I couldn’t ask for more. If I need more dog sitting I’ll definitely be in asking them.”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs since I was a young teenager, but my love for animals started much earlier—I grew up with dogs starting at age six. From puppy training to senior care, I’ve had hands-on experience with dogs of all sizes, ages, and energy levels. Now, as a proud dog mom to my own friendly and playful golden retriever, I understand how important it is to know your pet is safe, happy, and truly cared for. I treat every dog like they’re part of the family, whether I’m taking them on a walk, stopping by for a visit, or welcoming them into my home for boarding. Your dog’s comfort and well-being are my top priorities, and I’ll always go the extra mile to make sure they feel loved while you’re away. I have a very flexible work-from-home schedule, which means I’m around throughout the day to care for your dog—whether that’s walks, playtime, or just keeping them company. I love exercising my own dog regularly and would be thrilled to include your pup in our daily routine! Between meetings, I’m often outside throwing a ball, going for a neighborhood walk, or just hanging out in the yard. I’m available most weekdays and select weekends for boarding, walks, and drop-in visits. Let’s find a time that works for you and give your dog a happy, active day! Your dog’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I provide a clean, calm, and dog-friendly home with a fully fenced yard—perfect for supervised play and outdoor time. My one-year-old golden retriever is friendly, playful, and loves having a buddy to run around with. That said, I always take time to ensure all dogs are comfortable with each other before encouraging play. If your pup prefers solo time or needs a break, I’m more than happy to separate the dogs or crate your dog if that’s part of their routine. I’m experienced with a variety of temperaments and energy levels, and I’m always paying close attention to body language and behavior to make sure everyone feels safe and happy. Inside, dogs have access to cozy lounging spots, fresh water at all times, and lots of attention throughout the day. I stick to your feeding and potty routines as closely as possible and will happily administer any medications or follow special instructions you provide. Whether your dog is here for a walk, a drop-in, or an overnight stay, I treat them like family and keep you updated with messages, photos, and videos so you can feel confident they’re in great hands.

The Ranch Dog TrainingLocal facility
“I can not say enough wonderful things about The Ranch. We’ve had our dog stay here for daycare days for a couple of years so far, and we don’t plan on using any other daycare simply because of how excellent the staff are here. Everyone is so kind, and every daycare day gives you a report card from the staff member with pictures and notes on how the day went. You can also schedule boarding and/or training days, and the staff have been amazing in training us how to be even better dog parents. We always feel safe and happy whenever we drop off our dog, and we always recommend The Ranch to others looking for a dog training or daycare facility. Top tier dog LA location!”
