About: Hello there! My name is Helena. I love dogs and dogs love me! As one famous novelist wrote, “dogs are cheerful ambassadors of foreign planets" and I cannot agree more. These furry creatures give us unconditional love and joy, they are great philosophers and teachers who show us how to live and enjoy the present. Their company is something I deeply value. Even thought I don't have my own pet I slowly become pet-sitters for my friends and family during several last years. I have met many breeds and characters and I absolutely adore spending time with them! I can provide long walks around our neighborhood, fun runs on the beach, and playful visits to the doggie park. I am also skilled in puppy care and basic training, and have experience looking after senior dogs. About: At K9s Only West LA, our goal is to provide a happy, healthy, and safe environment for your pet when they're away from home. We're pleased to offer the Health Care Commitment Program, which reimburses up to $500 for eligible expenses incurred during your pet’s stay. Enrollment is automatic when your pet attends daycare, covering treatments or diagnoses for incidents that occur during their stay or within 5 days after departure. If veterinary care is needed, we’ll attempt to consult with your pet’s primary vet. If unavailable, we work with local veterinarians to address any medical issues.

About: I have had dogs all my life but nothing compares to adopting on your own! Here to help new and old parents with their daily doggie needs and hoping to make some friends for my dog Frances along the way. Frances was a tough puppy — didn’t take to the crate, separation anxiety, high energy, but super smart, so I am compassionate to all varying needs and struggles. Other requirements: -Must get along with my dog and need to meet in advance -Must be open to car rides as sometimes I’ll work from a dog-friendly office nearby I work full-time and have a dog friendly office space for the days I choose to go in. The dogs in the office are free to roam and there is a large fenced in courtyard. Most days the office only has 3-4 people in it. Regardless, we will go on walks throughout the day and your dog will have a play buddy at the house or office. No yard but I have a very large patio for the dogs to soak up the sun all day and bark at the neighbors. Ok with training needs for puppies and dogs that need to be crated.

About: My motto is: "Dogs, kids, and mosquitos love me!" Darned if I know why--must be one of my "superpowers" as they say. I have taken care of senior dogs, most recently for two weeks with Georgia near Bangor, Maine. I spent 3 and a half months with Xander in Berkeley, California. Also a month with Lucy & Charlie (Brown?) in Topanga County, CA. I've also enjoyed being with Toby, Latka, and Sookie in San Diego CA. Plus, Luna and yes, another Luna in Los Angeles. Special skills include a long attention span, creative mind, ability to play for hours, up and at 'em early in morning. Also: laying down with dogs and not waking up with fleas! I am a freelance journalist and author who writes books at home. Thus, I rarely leave the house, except to go to a library to work there. Four tomes so far, working on #5, with animals to be with and love--can't beat it! Xander, Sookie, Toby, Ted, Latka...if only dogs & cats could speak! (Sookie did do some kind of sing-song when I played harmonica...) The key to my care is slowing down and showing enormous patience, using experience, and giving mucho attention to love my fellow creatures enormously.

They kept me updated through the day and sent some cute photos. I came back to a happy, relaxed (ish), sleepy dog who had obviously enjoyed himself - I couldn’t ask for more.
