About: Hi! My name is Nikki and I’ve lived with dogs and cats since I was a toddler. I always loved helping my parents and grandma with our many pets while growing up, but it wasn’t until I graduated high school that I decided to start expanding to pet-sitting for my friends as well! I was always happy to spend time with and gain knowledge from their furry friends. Two years after high school, I adopted a sweet husky puppy. He was just 8 weeks old when I took him home and I quickly realized raising a puppy is A LOT of work (but worth it!!). I was also a veterinary assistant at a regular veterinary hospital with on top of that I was a boarding facility manager. About: Hey friends! I graduated with an AAS in Veterinary Technology in 2019 from Muscatine, Iowa. I have been a Licensed Veterinary Technician since 2020 and I absolutely love it. I have a large passion for animal care and know that they deserve as much love as people do. My family and friends have always had animals as well, so I’ve helped with them here and there. I’ve done quite a few jobs on here and it’s always been a great experience! I am CPR trained for both cats and dogs and know how to give various medications in various ways. I worked at Northgate Small Animal Hospital in Collinsville, IL for over 2 years and recently quit this year due to my CF, but I still keep up to date with my licensure! I can work with dogs, cats, and small exotic animals including hamsters, Guinea pigs, rabbits, ferrets, etc. Don’t worry, you can trust me with all of your fur babies!!! As previously mentioned, I quit working as a Vet Tech in 2023 do to hardships with my Cystic Fibrosis. I still do Rover jobs, so feel free to ask me if you need me!
