“Had Kim do drop in visit for my cat, Theo. I was very happy with the pictures of them interacting and playing. My cat was in great care and couldn't be happier. She was great with our cat!!”

“I booked Alexys for a drop in visit for our Morkie. She requested to drop by the day prior to meet our dog. I thought this was great and it gave me a chance to meet her and show her around his area and where all of his things would be. On the day she came for the drop in visit, she let me know when she arrived and left. She also sent pics and gave me an update on the visit. She’s very sweet and you can just see that she’s great with animals. I’ll definitely book her again in the future!”
“It is so fun to watch our dogs bursting with happiness when they realize Sarah came to visit them. Our dogs need structure and a strong leader, and they see Sarah as such. There are many instructions to follow, both behavioral and medical, and Sarah managed to follow them all. We're so happy we can finally leave for longer hours, knowing they're in Sarah's good hands.”

About: I have been a Licensed Veterinary Technician since 2014. Taking care of animals is my happy place and it is a joy seeing all of their true personalities while pet sitting..especially outside of the vet office! I have the most experience with cats and dogs but I have also personally owned a range of pets (gecko, fish, hamsters, tarantula, axolotls, toads, rabbits, chickens, and more) and taken care of llamas, pot bellied pigs, horses, and chinchillas. I have even had the privilege to help care for a fawn and opossum! There is no pet that I would not love the opportunity to meet and care for. I am open to helping any special creature and with any special needs. My sister, Breanne, will often pet sit with me. She has helped me care for the wide range of pets for the past several years. She has a huge heart and loves any pet she sees (she doesn't even have to meet them!) There is never a dull moment for a pet when she is around because play and pet happiness are her ultimate goal. There is never a pet who will feel left out when she is around. She is also my plant expert. If you only need house sitting (without pets) I offer that as well. Just send me a message. Pet care is my full time job, whether it is for my own two dogs or helping other families with their pet needs. I am currently home full time and eager to meet your pet(s). I do occasionally work online but this is limited to a couple of hours a week. Just let me know what you are needing and we will see what we can do. I don't change up your care routine! I make sure gates are closed and collars are snug. I do not invite people over without permission. Please be as thorough as possible with anything I would need to know to help make each experience a great one. In my home, for caged creatures, I have a separate room for sleeping and would keep my dogs separate when taking them out for socializing. I currently cannot offer cat/dog care in my home. If you would also like plant care or basic house cleaning duties just let me know. All parts of the environment are important.
“Branden did a fantastic job. Lots of photos, so i knew my pets were happy and relaxed while we were away. Everything perfectly taken care of - pets and house. Fabulous work - highly recommended by us humans and our pets!”

“Teagan was so kind and responsive when watching our shy cat! She even watered some of my plants that I had forgotten to water before leaving on our trip. I will definitely hire her again!”

“Alivia was amazing with drop ins for Luke. She is very responsive, on time and definitely took her time playing and cuddling with him! We have rebooked her to house sit for Luke for a long weekend as well. We feel so lucky to have found someone we trust who is also close to us.”

“Wynona jumped in to help us out when our regular sitter was unavailable. She was wonderful!! She was prompt, communicative, and helped looked after our home while we were gone. She went out of her way to visit an additional day when I had a delivery too. Super sweet, and thoughtful. She even came by ahead of time to learn the nuances. Highly recommend!”

“Ashley is great! I was so appreciative of her care of my dog. This was our first time to use Ashley but it definitely won't be our last. I happen to know she had a family emergency happening at the same time as our dates of service and yet all four droppings went exactly as planned which I know was no easy feat. I will absolutely be booking Ashley in the future.”

“Lydia was wonderful with my girls. They bark and intimidate some sitters, but she loved on them and took special care. She was also on-time for her visits. Very highly recommended.”

“Teresa did an awesome job watching our little zoo crew. Our bigger dogs seemed to really enjoy spending time with her and were happy and healthy when we got home. Unfortunately, our smaller dog seemed to have a hard time warming up (she’s never been away from us, so I’m not too surprised) but Teresa did what she could to accommodate her and help her feel cozy and safe. We would definitely recommend and would be happy to have her hang out with our crew again!”

“Hailey and Daniel did a stellar job caring for our two large dogs. They were timely, great communicators, and wonderful with our pups. This was our first time using Rover and it couldn’t have gone better. We’re so thankful—it gives us such peace of mind when we know our dogs are being cared for so well. I highly recommend them!”

About: I have dog sat for my neighbors since I was in my teens and continue to dog sit for neighbors, roommates, and family whenever it is needed. I personally have two dogs, and one is a very reactive puppy that I have been working with/training since I got him 5yrs ago. I have raised 3 litters of puppies, house trained, kennel trained, off leash trained, and basic commands. I believe that dogs are truly our best friends. I am currently a newly single mother who is looking for a schedule that works around my little girl. I have open availability Monday-Sunday starting after 9am (Mon, Tues, Thurs, & Fri), after 10am (Wed) and depending on the weekend; I can be available at any time. I have a completely fenced yard that is almost the size of what you would find in a small dog park. The rest of the property is not fenced in but there is a runner that is on the property, along with mini hiking trails to venture through and plenty of running room for zoomies. For my own dogs, we start the morning off with a walk through the trails and follow it with breakfast. Then half the day is cozy sleeping on one of the million dog beds they own, and we cap off our evening before dinner with zoomies in the fenced yard were ball tossing, tug away, and lots of chasing each other happens. If the care is in a client's home, I follow any directions that are left for me from walking, outside time, feeding routine, grooming, etc. I treat your pet just like I would treat my own with consistency, love, and lots of belly rubs.
“Kayleigh is amazing! She took great care of the pups during a long drop in making sure they were walked, fed, and played, and had extra patience getting our picky pup to finish his dinner when we usually can't get him to eat ourselves. We'll definitely use Kayleigh again!”

“Such a relief to find someone that is professional, caring, and had a great connection with my Bingo. She went above and beyond to adjust her schedule last minute to accommodate us”

“Tabutha was so wonderful! She is great with communication and has full attention to detail. She is wonderful with the pups and I am so happy I found her! Thank you so much Tabutha!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Vaughn
Bella went above and beyond when she took care of our dog, Wiki. She is completely trustworthy, and we felt so at ease knowing Wiki was in her care. Bella was incredibly attentive, and her communication was fantastic—she sent us regular updates and photos, which we really appreciated. When our plans suddenly changed and we had to attend an out-of-state funeral, Bella stepped in at the last minute to help us out. She was a lifesaver! Our flights even changed, and she was kind enough to check on Wiki again to make sure everything was okay. We would wholeheartedly recommend her to any dog owner and will definitely be using her services again. In fact, I already booked her for an upcoming 2 week trip! Thank you so Bella! You're the BEST! 🐾 Wiki Britt & Bryan

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
