About: Hi there, and thank you so much for taking the time to visit my profile! As pet parents, we all want the same thing: peace of mind when we’re away from our beloved dogs. You want to know your fur baby is not just safe—but happy, loved, and cared for like family. That’s exactly what you can expect when you leave your pup in my care. I’ve been a Rover caregiver on and off for many years, and recently returned after fostering a precious senior Shih Tzu named Chipper through Old Dog Haven. Their mission—to provide love-filled homes for older, abandoned dogs—truly speaks to my heart. Chipper brought me 2½ years of absolute joy before he crossed the rainbow bridge in May 2025. It was a meaningful reminder of just how much love and care every dog deserves. 🐾 What You Can Expect ✅ Individualized, Loving Care I typically care for no more than two dogs at a time, ensuring every guest receives the attention, love, and time they deserve. ✅ Constant Companionship I work mostly from home, so your dog will rarely be alone. We’ll be buddies all day long—whether we’re playing, snuggling, or heading out for a walk! ✅ Perfect Location for Pups We’re within walking distance of two off-leash dog parks and nestled in a safe, walkable neighborhood with plenty of room to explore. ✅ A Cozy, Dog-Friendly Home Whether your pup loves cuddling on the couch, lounging in a soft bed, or watching birds and squirrels through the big sunny windows, they’ll feel right at home. Crates are available for those who prefer the extra security—and I encourage you to bring a favorite blanket with their scent for added comfort. ✅ Tailored Care and Thoughtful Routines Feeding time? Done your way. Daily schedule? Followed to the letter. From puppies to senior dogs, I adapt to each pet’s unique personality and preferences. Mealtimes are calm and stress-free with separate feedings. ✅ Daily Love and Play Expect wagging tails, cheerful praise, and joyful play sessions. I aim to keep your pup smiling from the moment they arrive to the moment you return. 🐶 Safety First To maintain a healthy environment for all guests, I require up-to-date vaccination records before confirming your booking. I genuinely care for every dog as if they were my own—with joy, love, and total dedication. If you're looking for a warm, dependable, and attentive sitter who will shower your pup with affection and keep you updated with happy reports and adorable photos, I’d love to welcome your fur baby into my home. Let’s make their stay a tail-wagging, heartwarming experience! 💕🐾 I'm currently working mostly from home. We will go on several walks a day. I can give meds if needed. If your pup likes to cuddle, I'm happy to do that. I have an unfenced yard so leashed walks are the norm. For a quick potty break, we can just go to the back yard. My 14 year old Shih Tzu recently left us, so there is plenty of room in my heart to care for your pup. We will become great buddies.

“Penny has been amazing! We found ourselves needing a sitter for the first time ever so we decided to try Rover. I’m so glad we did, Penny is amazing! She made us feel comfortable during our meet and greet, her notes are so thorough and detailed, and our pup is nice and exercised when we get home! We could not be happier and can’t recommend her enough.”

About: A forever pet lover! I have been caring for animals since I was a little child starting with my own and then all our friends' and neighbors'. I am comfortable with all animals of all sizes and ages. I have taken care of dogs, cats, birds, fish, horses, and hamsters. Currently, I have four little furbabies of my own. Dogs: Dior and Deja. Cats: Willow and Douglas. Dior and I went through many training classes and she is now CGC certified. We both loved the bonding and learning experience. Deja is our sweet and spicy 2 year old. She is super smart and funny. I work part time and would love to fill in my free time by spending time with your furbabies! Through the summer I only work one day a week leaving so much time for furbabies! During the school year I work part-time but very flexible. I have a fully fenced back yard and a dog area in the house that is baby gated for extra safety away from exit doors.

About: I've had dogs most my life. I love dogs and they love me. I would enjoy the opportunity to love on your dog while you are away. I am semi-retired. I worked in the lumber yard and then became a truck driver. I now work a cleaning job in the early hours of the morning. I enjoy being active while my wife is at work. I love all dogs of any size. I am able to handle dogs of all sizes, including large breeds. It would be an honor to walk or visit your dog.

About: I grew up having helped take care of a total of 8 dogs between my two households. I now have my own dog who deals with extreme anxiety and needs medication daily. I am no stranger to difficult dogs and willing to follow any instructions to provide the best care! I work a job where I create my own schedule, so the rest of my schedule would be built around pet care! I will be able to provide pets with my undivided attention. I will always care for pets showing kindness and patience. I will follow the parents requests to the very best of my ability while giving the pets a healthy balance of sleep, play, and eating times.

“I’m so glad I found Melanie! She takes great care of my pups and they really enjoy her visits. She had great communication and I loved the picture updates. I will definitely be reaching out to her in the future whenever I need a dog walker!”

About: I have had animals my entire life and they are my passion. I am also very passionate about training and have spent countless hours learning the latest techniques and tricks. I have worked in the animal field for the last 6 years. The past 5 as a triage nurse at a large specialty and emergency hospital. I am the one many of the doctors I work with go to for their pet sitting needs. Working in emergency has prepared me to take on all kinds of unique challenges. I love being able to use my experience to assure owners that their fur babies are in good hands. With my special interest in training I'm never one to shy away from reactive dogs or any other behavioral concerns. I am fear free certified and currently enrolled to get my KPA CTP certificate. Feel free to reach out for behavior consultations aswell. I have a special interest in working breeds, I know they have very specific that need to be fulfilled and I am familiar with igp and other bite sports. I have a Belgian malinois/German shepherd myself so have personal as well as professional experience handling the pointy-bitey breeds (they're actually my favorite) I work sun-monday but most of the time I bring the dogs I'm sitting with me to work. We have a reception team that acts as a doggy daycare and they are always loving on everyone. Some dogs dont like going and prefer being homebodies, which is also wonderful! In that case I will stop by on my lunch break At work, I do my best to make every visit as positive as possible. Meeting the pets where they're comfortable and going at their pace. As an ER tech I'm trained to recognize signs of distress and illness and determine the severity of such to determine level of care needed. As well as having extensive experience handling special needs pets both my own as well as my patients. And both medically and behavioral special needs.
