About: Hi! I am a very loving, caring, enthusiastic animal friend. I have been a pet mom myself for over 20 years, having had the pleasure of caring for dogs, cats, turtles, snakes, and birds. I worked as a veterinary assistant/pet nurse for almost 10 years, where I fulfilled all duties from surgery assistant to boarding kennel attendant. In addition, I have taken care of many animals in their homes for their owners. I can handle many 'extras,' including bathing, nail trims, gland expression, and I am willing and able to medicate pets, orally or through injection (in cases such as a diabetic pets). I consider myself to be a responsible (and fun!) caretaker. I will treat your pets the way I treat my own babies.
About: There have always been pets in my house growing up, and so I am very experienced with multiple pet households. In my school, I took and passed a Vet Tech course which helped me learn a lot more about animals in the range of science/biology, general care, and hands on experience. I love pets so I will always ready for specific routines and instructions so they receive the best care possible. I have experience with dogs, cats, horses, and rodents. I do not have a busy schedule at the moment. This is becoming my full time, so I am available a majority of the week from mornings to early evenings. Will vary but open to discuss scheduling and time. I will take care of your house and clean daily. I only want to help so I will follow whatever rules and instructions you leave behind. I will do my best to make sure your animals are comfortable with me and taken care of.
About: I’ve always had a dog growing up, our family dog recently just died of old age.. and think it’s probably to soon to get another dog so we’re going to take baby steps. I’m currently working part time, I have a 4 year old son who loves animals so feel it would be great to take on pet sitting part time.. I have a spacious home & also a fenced in back yard for dogs to easily roam around and be comfortable inside or outside etc.
About: I've been in the house/pet sitting business for a couple years now. I've worked in houses with anywhere between one animal to seven animals! I am absolutely open to exotic pets as well as I have a few of my own and would love to meet different species. I also worked in a zoo for 4 years, and currently work in a vets office, so I have plenty of different experiences. I look forward to meeting your babies:) I currently work at a vets office Thursday-Saturday from 9am-5:30pm (1pm on Saturdays), and volunteer Sunday nights, so I would unfortunately not be able to provide around the clock care. Otherwise, I am at the home all day! I am open to frequent walks, brushing, bathing, giving medication, and any other specific needs for your pet! I understand how tedious and picky some animals tend to be, so I'm open to any accommodations necessary.

About: I am experienced with dogs of all sizes and cats! I love animals & all their quirks! I have a dog as well as two cats. I can’t wait to meet your fur baby! I am currently working from home so I am open to care for your pet in any way they need! Whether they are big, small, chill, or active. I have a large fenced in yard and a very friendly pup to keep your fur babies company. I believe positive reinforcement is the only productive way to interact with animals.
About: Although I don’t have formal professional experience in pet care, I’ve spent years caring for my family/friends pets and making sure they feel loved and safe. From walks and feeding schedules, to playtime and comfort. This has taught me responsibility, patience, and how to provide attentive, living care. Pet care fits naturally into my routine, even with a full time job. I work at 8-4:30 Monday through friday. I am available anytime after that. I can also work some weekends. Anytime of the day on weekends preferably before 3pm. I myself have a little Yorkie at home. Your pets safety and comfort are my top priorities. I will make sure your dog is closely supervised at all times during dog walks. Whether your dog needs a calm stroll or a more energetic walk, I’ll make sure they get the exercise, attention, and care they deserve. I look forward to caring for your dog and treating them like my own! 🙂
About: I have worked with animals since I was a kid. I’ve pet sat for many friends and family for a variety of animals such as dogs, cats, and livestock. I currently work nights at the Louisville Zoo. I also have experience with clicker training animals. I do work nights into the early morning Thursday through Monday. I would be available during the day afterwards and in the evenings. I have taken care of both my own pets and other people’s pets around my schedule. I prefer to keep pets in their own home so there is no additional stress when adjusting to new surroundings or my personal pets. I have my own car so driving to and from will not be an issue.
“Olivia is excellent! She had very thorough updates and communication each day with our pet. She took her time to care for him as if he were her own dog. She sent lots of pictures which we loved. Highly recommend!”

About: I have always been known to be a pet lover and truly do care and love pets. I have dog sat since I was a kid and always try to give pets extra love and care while their family is away. I have had experiences in the past with dogs who are reactive, have health issues, or need extra patience and time. I trained my dog Bunny since she was 3 months old and am experienced with potty training, crate training, and basic commands. I also have an elderly 12 year old dog who has joint issues and needs extra help occasionally. I am not afraid to give medicine or do any extra medical care if provided with instructions. I am a PRN caregiver so I have a very flexible work schedule! This gives me plenty of time to be there for you and your pets. I have knowledge, patience, and love for pets who's owners may be worried about having a pet sitter due to their pet's reactivity, shyness, or extra needs. I can work with owners to find the best way to keep their pets feeling safe and comfortable while their owners are away. I am good at getting dogs in crates and on walks. I love all pets, no matter what size and age.
About: I've taken care of dogs and cats of all kinds ever since I was roughly 13 years old, and am also able to administer medications to animals. Family members, friends, and referrals/new friends have trusted me with their pets time and time again because I genuinely enjoy spending time with and taking care of their critters as if they’re my own! I also have experience with farm/unique animals like chickens, chinchillas, guinea pigs, rabbits, snakes, etc., and I have experience caring for epileptic dogs, as well as senior animals! I can ALWAYS promise to treat your babies like they’re my own, and to ensure they get the best of care. My availability is quite flexible, and I typically have the ability to run over and do house visits or walks as often as they are needed, and I’m able to provide housesitting services, too! I unfortunately am unable to host animals in my home due to rules against it (I’m a renter). I apologize in advance if this causes any kind of inconvenience. But I’m able to happily provide housesitting/petsitting services at my clients homes.
About: Hi! I’m a lifelong animal lover, American Sign Language (ASL) professor, and proud Deaf pet sitter. I treat your pets like family—with calm energy, play, and lots of love. Whether it’s senior pets, puppies, shy cats, or playful kittens, I create a peaceful space where they can thrive. My bilingual service dog is also fantastic with other animals. I’ll keep you updated with photos and info while you’re away. Let’s chat—I’d love to care for your furry family! 😊 I mainly work afternoons and evenings during the academic year, but we can discuss the schedule. I enjoy walking dogs whenever possible, and I am completely free during the summer months from May to August! I am unable to accommodate boarding at my location right now, but I am available to care for your pets at your home. I will adhere to the schedule you require for your dogs or cats while I care for them.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
