“I can tell my dog really enjoyed her time at Shannon’s house. She was a little nervous at first, but Shannon went the extra mile and slept on the couch with her to make her feel more comfortable. I will absolutely reach out to her again.”
“I would definitely recommend Samantha! She was very nice, quick to respond, and was flexible with my drop off and pick up times. This was only the second time boarding my 11 month old puppy. I can tell he was taken care of and had a blast with lots of play time from the frequent photo updates and given the amount of time he slept after picking him up. Thank you Samantha!”

“First visit! I really appreciated the communication and coordination, so easy to work with. Hops (the dog) came home happy and healthy. Theresa took great care of her; I would book again and refer her!”

“John was very kind and accommodating through adjustments I had to make regarding my trip and my booking for dog sitting. And, he took such good care of my Tilly, updating me daily.”

“Kimberly was amazing! She really makes your fur babies feel at home and loved. I constantly got showered with pictures of my babies and how they were doing. They will definitely be going back!”

“Our dog Emma is so comfortable at Emily’s home, Emily treats our Emma like family. Nothing but great things to say about the love and care given to Emma while we are away. Thanks again for everything”

“Taylor was a fantastic sitter for Oslo. I received updates and pictures, and did not have to worry when he was with her. I will be leaving Oslo with Taylor in the future, and recommend her to anybody in Roanoke looking for a Rover.”

“By far the best dog-sitting experience I've ever enjoyed. Marah and her husband were both incredibly personable, warm, and engaged even at the meet and greet. They were relaxed and reassuring with my rambunctious pup and accommodating with the day/times. During the stay, I got tons of pictures and video of Kaine, playing and having fun. And they returned him to me happier and healthier than I left him!! :)”
“Ashley and her family were great! She sent us pictures and videos of our pups throughout the weekend. I don’t think my lab wanted to leave when I picked them up. We will definitely use her again.”

“Shawn was wonderful! She kept me updated throughout the entire stay. My pups were very comfortable and happy during their stay. I would choose Shawn every time to watch my pups, they had an amazing time! I didn’t have to worry about my dogs once while they were in Shawn’s care!”

“Donna always lavishes Sailor with love. He was excited to see her and loved every moment of his stay! He even got some doggy massages in her care! Couldn't ask for a better sitter!”

“So happy to have found Cate! I had reached out a week before our trip and was so glad to meet her and show her around prior to us leaving. Our two cats are not friendliest and rarely let others pet them but my heart sang when Cate showed pictures a few days in that the girls had warmed up and actually let her pet them! That’s a big win for us! Thank you Cate for taking such great care of them! My husband and I feel totally safe with the cats in Cates care and will definitely reach out again on upcoming trips!”

“Mia was great! My kitty was looked happy and well cared for when we returned. Mia was very respectful of my house and everything was in place as it was left. Thank you!”

“Ashley did a fantastic job taking care of our 6 kitties. She remembered everything each day, including small specific pet’s needs and preferences. She even kept our birdbaths sprayed out, and full of fresh water, each day. We will definitely be calling on her again in the future!”

“Rebekah did a great job of communicating with us and taking care of not only our elderly kitty but also our small tortoise. Our cat has medications and multiple needs so we appreciated her willingness to care for her.”

“We have used Rebecca several times. She is so good to our cat, Lucy. Rebecca is extremely flexible with her visiting times. We are so so happy we have her to take care of Lucy. We know Lucy is in excellent hands when we go away.”

“Michael is very conscious of our cat’s needs and kept us updated the whole time we were gone. A great cat sitter and would 100% recommend to other cat owners. I think our cat misses him!”

“Zoe took great care of our dog! She really spent time with her and made sure she was not only fed and given potty breaks but also cuddled and cared for! She even brought in our packages and pulled up our trash can while we were gone.”

“She is so amazing. This was the first time I had to “board” any of my animals. I was nervous beyond words, I meet with her prior and she made me feel at ease. The morning she came to pick up my babies she reassured me they will be fine. I was a wreck, but Samantha would frequently send pics and updated messages. It did comfort me some, but I just wanted to cuddle my babies. Overall, even though I was copete worry wart, she took great care of my babies. I greatly appreciate her for everything she did.”

“I have booked with Amanda for over 2 years. She is easy to communicate with and I feel incredibly comfortable leaving my pet in her care. If you need a petsitter, you should absolutely reach out. I hope to rebook for future petsitting.”

“Emily went above and beyond to take care of our two cats and communicated so well with us every check in. She was also extremely flexible and added a few extra care days after we got stuck in a storm. I highly recommend Emily and will trust her to take care of our babies any time.”

“Jazmin was fantastic! I was very anxious about hiring a stranger for the first time, but Jazmin met with me and my bunny ahead of time and put me right at ease. She followed my (probably obnoxiously detailed) directions to the letter, kept me posted, and sent pictures and videos. Will use again and would definitely recommend!”

“Niki took great care of our two cats and sent me cute descriptions of what they got up to during her visits. The cats took to her fairly quickly, even the shy one. Highly recommend!”

“Kimberly was a great choice for me. She took great care of my dogs and treated them like one of her own. The whole time my dogs were under her care she sent updates and photos. She's someone that people can trust to care for their dog.”

“Emily did such a great job helping us feel more comfortable with leaving our dog Gamora at daycare. She has never stayed with a stranger before just close family. I think Gamora really enjoyed her stay with Emily, she got to play with some new friends and came home tired and content. We are very grateful to find someone we can trust to watch our baby (Gamora🐶).”

“Marah is the best dogsitter on this app. She will treat your dog like it's hers. My dog loves going to Marah's and she is always tired and happy when I pick her up. Marah is extremely friendly and makes sure that your dog is well taken care of. I never have to worry about my dog with her because she will have the best of care! I would give Marah a 10 out 5 if I could.”

“Kaleb took great care of Presley while I went away for the day! I received pictures and videos throughout his stay, which was greatly appreciated! Presley had so much fun playing with Kaleb’s pups, he is worn out! Thank you for taking great care of my baby!!! We will be coming back!”

“Our previous sitter told me they are moving, which prompted me to search for a new sitter. I decided to try Rebecca, and am I glad I did! I was happy with our first sitter, but LuLu spent her time there just sniffing their yard and snuggling up on the couch with the sitter. She barely ate and wouldn't play with their dog. It was such a delight to see how happy LuLu was at Rebecca's place. She ran around the yard like I haven't seen her do since she was a puppy. When Rebecca thought LuLu needed a rest and brought her inside, LuLu whined to go back out, so out she went for more running around! Finally, she took a nap on the couch, then got up and ate all of her dinner. Then she settled down chewing on her toy until we came back for her. She was happy to see us, but gave Rebecca a tail wag when they said goodbye. I'm so glad LuLu found a place where she can thrive when we're gone. Now I won't hesitate to book a vacation! Rebecca was very attentive to the history I gave her about LuLu and my instructions about her routine and fears. We did a Meet & Greet on short notice, and Rebecca showed LuLu and me her back yard and inside her house. She assured me that she would never give LuLu an opportunity to run away. The way Rebecca gave me updates all day long assured me that LuLu was being well cared for and was having a great time. Rebecca is definitely Lulu's new sitter. I couldn't be happier with her care.”

“Shelby kindly accepted our last-minute request for a half-day daycare and took great care of Sancho. He seemed to have a wonderful time, and Shelby kept us updated with a photo. Thank you so much, Shelby!”

About: I've had a 91 lb labradoodle from puppy to now for about 4 years. I've also been told that my cat adopted me about 1.5 years ago. My dog is a happy go lucky guy who's never met a person or animal he didn't like. My cat is about 15 years old and requires injectable medication twice a day, so nothing scares me when it comes to medication. I've taken care of the odd African Grey Parrot from time to time as well. I take my dog out every morning, lunch time and several times in the evening for walks and play. Our cat needs medicine twice a day that requires an injection so I'm well versed in providing medication and taking care of animals with special needs. There's a giant pop up blocking what this field is meant to say but it's saying I have to fill it in, perhaps I can update it later when the pop up is gone.
“Penny and Evan were great with our little “high anxiety” fur baby. During the “meet and greet” Penny had us come in and take him straight to the fenced back yard where he could sniff around and go to the bathroom. Knowing about his anxiety, once we went back inside, Penny never tried to pet him, she just allowed him to get used to her being in the room. She was a very calming presence for him. Evan likewise was patient with him and allowed him the time it took to settle and get comfortable. We are thrilled to have found Penny and Even and the bonus is that they live about 4 minutes from our house! We have already booked the next daycare appointment!”

About: My own pets are my entire heart, I know how stressful it can be searching for someone to love your baby while you’re busy! I would like to add my pets DO stay with my family full time when I am with yours! I ensure that I will treat your pet with the best care of my ability, striving to make them as comfortable as my own. I have previous experience working in a vet, as well as experience in a doggy daycare holding a roll as a behavioral trainer. I have no bigger passion than the one I hold for animals, and I truly feel lucky to be able to work with them. A little about me personally, I am saving to take courses through the Karen Pryor Academy so I can become a registered dog trainer. I am currently pursuing pet services as a complete source of employment, so I can be with your pets full time!! I love to spend time hiking, at the beach, or snuggled up with my own animals(or yours!) watching a good movie. Pet care IS my schedule.I can come for visits at ANY time! If I am scheduled for house sitting, I will be with your fur babies full time!! *Note, if I am scheduled for a check in or walk while I am house sitting for you, would be gone 5 hours or less. I WOULD be with your pet the entire night! I hope to leave your home better than when I arrive, as I hold great respect for people allowing me into their spaces and trusting me with their furry family. I am more than happy to take them on adventures or keep them snuggled up in the house. I do currently work Monday thru Friday 8-4 with quite a bit of flexibility. I have made my service area smaller so that I can stay close to my job and be able to tend to the needs of coming home on lunch, going in late, leaving early, or anything that I can do to make it work with your babies! I try to make sure to follow the routine they are used to so everyone feels as comfy as possible. I always require a meet before the time of me coming over so you get a good understanding of me as a person and I have no confusion on the best ways to take care of your babies.

Other than that I am available all day, every day to care for any pets under my responsibility. I have a fenced in yard with a porch that is half covered. I have two living areas separated by a permanent gate if any animals in my care need to be separated from other animals. My couch and bed are pet friendly. I have a cat tree and a room dedicated for cats. I have multiple beds and pet bed with washable covers that can be used by any pet in my care. I can customize a walking schedule for your pet and can come to your house and watch/walk your dog where they are most comfortable, at home. “Mia is great with Petie & he loves every time she comes to walk him. He's had dental issues which meant he had to wear muzzle. Mia was great at ensuring he wore it on their walks. She keeps me advised on anything that arises on their walk & is a pleasure to have.”

“Zoe was great! She was always on-schedule and was very patient with my weird little girl. She does things like hiding when it's time to go out and then pulling a LOT once you finally get her out. But Zoe never complained and always hung around with the baby for a few minutes of love and play after the walk. My schedule has changed and no longer need a dog-walker, but if I ever need one again, will definitely look for her!”

About: Hi All, I've grown up with pet cats my whole life, and would take care of neighborhood pets all throughout middle school through to college. Including watching neighborhood cats and walking dogs. Would love to spend time with your pet and make sure they are safe and loved while you are out of town, or check in during the work day. I'm new to pet sitting through an official site, but have lots of experience caring through pets through word of mouth, neighbors, and friends. Both my childhood cat, and my current cat have needed meds, so I have experience administering medications. We also have a 10-month old puppy. I'm used to walking him downtown, and working on training at home together. Small story for reference - I took care of one super shy kitty for a neighbor. The owner said it was okay if I never actually saw them since they are shy. After a couple days the kitty started coming out of hiding and hanging out with me :) Their owner said their cat had never come out for anyone else before. I WFH and have a flexible schedule. Can do drop-ins anytime during the day. I'm also available for dog walks if close to my apartment. Here for cat sitting and small animals! Can't take animals in my own home because I have an elderly cat, but happy to do drop-in visits to hang out with your pet while you're away!
“Hannah walked my boy every day for 9 days when I was out of town. They walked for an hour every day and it was great! He really enjoys his long walks and Hannah made sure he had a great time. She is reliable and sent me great notes and pics every day.”

“Jessika is wonderful! She genuinely loves my dog and he is always excited to see her. I always get lots of pictures and details. Even though it’s just a 30 minute walk, I appreciate the extra effort. Would absolutely recommend!”

“Jessica was my lifesaver!!!! I injured my knee and was suddenly unable to walk my dog. She was available on short notice and responded quickly. I was in such a panic but she reassured me that she would take great care of my baby! She was flexible, patient, and kind. I had the worst day and I was being so spastic and crazy and she was sooo sweet to me. I am thankful to have found her . My dog absolutely loved her! She took notes about specific things concerning his care, and she followed all instructions given and had a successful walk with him! She took him to the park, his favorite place :) I am so thankful that Jessica has experience with large breeds and was able to handle my 70 lb dog. She sent me updates and pictures which helped my bad day get soo much better and put my mind at ease seeing my dog so happy and in great hands! She is reliable, responsible, and trustworthy. I would highly recommend Jessica and will definitely have her continue walking my dog until my leg heals (and after that too!) Thank you Jessica- you are the absolute best !!!”

I’m working to fully understand dog body language & stress indicators, and how to adapt my own behavior appropriately. I don’t offer boarding services at my home - my dog isn’t dog-friendly. I don’t offer overnight housesitting either - I prefer not to leave my dog overnight unless I can find a sitter for her.
About: I love caring for dogs and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and happy while their owners are away. I’m patient with dogs of all sizes and personalities and always follow feeding schedules, provide regular potty breaks, playtime, and plenty of attention so every dog feels at home. I currently have a very flexible schedule and am available most days of the week, including weekends. This allows me to give pets plenty of attention, regular potty breaks, walks, and playtime throughout the day. I’m happy to work with different schedules and last-minute bookings whenever possible I make sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and well cared for. Since I don’t have a fenced yard, I take dogs on regular walks for exercise, potty breaks, and fresh air. I also provide plenty of attention, playtime, and follow the pet’s normal feeding schedule and routines. My goal is to make pets feel relaxed and at home while their owners are away.
“Gussie did a wonderful job taking care of Simba, our geriatric Lionhead bunny. She was on time, followed instructions and was excellent in helping us during a stressful time.”

“Donna always lavishes Sailor with love. He was excited to see her and loved every moment of his stay! He even got some doggy massages in her care! Couldn't ask for a better sitter!”

“David Is calm and caring and took great care of Watson. I don’t often leave Watson but when I do he usually comes home unnerved. That was not the case this time. Thank you!”
About: I began volunteering at my local animal shelter at the age of 9 and have been caring for animals ever since. I have 20 years experience pet sitting for neighbors and I have my own 6 year old pitbull, Cleo, so I’m no stranger to energetic dogs. I’m a teacher, so my summers give me full flexibility to care for your animals! I love to walk dogs on local greenways and trails. I have a fenced in backyard where your dog can play. If they like to play with a buddy, my dog will be their best friend!
“Myrtle clearly had a great time with Erin and Matthew. She got some good play time and got to snuggle with them (her favorite activity). We appreciate the care and kindness to Myrtle that allows us to travel when we can't take her.”

“Katie is my go to trusted dog sitter, she has taken awesome care of my 2yr old lab for the last two years. She has been a life saver with putting our minds at ease that our lab is being well cared for while on vacation. Thanks Katie!!”

“Lawdy was great to work with! She watched our two dogs for almost a full week, after being asked very last minute, and she gave them the love and attention they needed while she had them. We also had our return flight canceled because of the Microsoft crash (July 2024) and we needed to get home, so we rented a car to drive home instead. It took us an unexpected extra day to get home to pick up our fur-babies, and she made it so easy and stress-free. We would definitely recommend Lawdy for your dogs. 💕”

“Karlie was wonderful. I have an anxious little poodle, and Karlie gave me daily updates and pictures. Apparently Max fell right in with her family pack after a couple of days and was just fine. She even let him sleep in bed with her like he does at home. I know that settled his heart for sure. Big thank you to Karlie and her family for loving Max!”

“Penny and Evan are amazing!! I was so impressed with how much love and care they gave to Sushi and Sasha. They walked, played with and petted my two dogs, as well as sending photos and videos. The best part is that the dogs really loved them and felt home!! I highly recommend and definitely will come back.”

“McKenanne took great care of my dog and was good about communicating before and during my dog's stay. Her two dogs were very friendly which helped to make my dog more comfortable and happy.”
