“Barb, The Relief Every Pet Owner Needs Over the years, I grew increasingly scared to leave my 3 cats in a stranger's care. If needed I always drove them to my parents but it became clear that the roadtrip stressed them out more than if I had just left them at home and had a stranger come by the house. As a 1st time Rover user, Barb was a perfect find! She made the whole process unbelievably breezy. She very punctual to the meet and greet she set up the same day I sent my request. I ran her through the cat's litter and feeding schedule and already felt good about her. Immediately after this meet and greet, she sent me a screenshot of the notes she took afterwards which were notes on the food/water/litter instructions we had discussed for the brief meet. This really sealed it for me; not only did Barb exhibit great memory recall but also great attention to detail which is certainly needed in pet care. I had Barb check in twice a day for my 3 cats for a total of 9 days. She is very punctual to the times discussed and an expert with sending photos of furry loved ones to ease anxieties. She also made sure I was made aware of any event that occurred immediately in the Rover Card for that very check-in time. When responding to her or asking her questions she was quick and attentive with her responses. One of my cats loves to escape and is a bit of a "queen of the house" type of cat so she gets a bit protective of "her home" and after giving Barb some tips and tricks in what we do, my cat became calmer and more accepting of Barb as more check-ins occurred. They grew closer towards the end which is a testament of Barb's personality and care qualities. My other 2 cats are shy ones so there was a worry that we wouldn't be able to confirm if they were eating or not. But eventually Barb's calm and gentle presence coaxed them out enough to be spotted for a food grab or a hydration stop every now and then. Overall, having Barb as a first time Rover sitter and first time pet sitter was a perfect match and I feel lucky to have had her watching over my pets.”
“Alison is our #1 choice for her attention to detail, above-and-beyond communication, and loving care for our cats. It's difficult to leave a geriatric pet, and this time there was a medical situation. Alison's prompt and thorough notes allowed us to make the right choice in calling the vet, and she was certain to make sure he was recovered and settled after his return; even giving him oral medicine (quite an accomplishment). All that plus winning over our other cat (the diva) and sending fantastic photos.”

About: I adopted my cat Albus as a kitten in 2014 when he was found in a box on the side of the road. He was dehydrated and covered in bugs. After getting him to the vet and nursing him back to health, he loves staying close by! He is about 12 years old and is now losing his eyesight but is still so playful. After caring for Albus I decided to extend my help to other cat parents in 2023 after settling in Virginia. I have experience with feeding, administering oral medications, playtime, and liter box cleaning whether it’s a drop in or overnight stay.

“Han was great! We really appreciate that she was able to take such awesome care for our pup (who’s actually a senior dog, but is our baby nevertheless). We came to Han on pretty short notice after arrangements with another sitter fell through at the last minute, and are so glad Han was able to accommodate us. Our senior pup was with her for 13 days during the extreme summer weather. She also takes several supplements with her meals so the feeding routine can be a little complicated. Han made us feel comfy that everything was fine with multiple daily updates and pics. Meet and greet, drop-off and pickup were all a breeze (Han was outside and ready to meet us when we pulled up each time.) Highly recommend and would definitely have her watch our baby again in the future! Thank you!”
