About: I have loved dogs for as long as I can remember. I’ve always had multiple dogs, but right now only one, Babette, a terrier mix. She’s ready to having some play mates come visit! I live in the country on a couple of acres. We have a dedicated fenced in yard area specifically for hosting dogs. Dogs will sleep in crates at night, or when they can’t be supervised, but the rest of the time they will be in the common spaces and will receive lots of love and attention. I look forward to making my home your dog’s favorite home away from home. I work a flexible schedule from home, with occasional meetings and events outside the home, so I have lots of time to care for your pets. There will be lots of snuggles and pets. I am available for weekends stays. Drop Offs and Pickups must be scheduled within a one hour window between 7:00am - 8:00pm. I am in a neighborhood on a little less than 2 acres. There is a fenced and covered dog area dedicated for leash free potty breaks. I love to work outside. That includes maintenance and projects around the property as well as computer and book work. I love to have guest dogs out with me. Dogs must be crate trained. I ask that you bring your crate and favorite bedding. Dogs will be fed separately, even if they aren't food aggressive. We will work to make sure all our canine guests feel comfortable and secure, especially around their food.

She will not use the litter box at all unless it has just been scooped. I have trouble myself getting rid of the smells from these accidents, but I came home to a very clean litter box and no accident stains or smells. She was also immediately friendly and not skiddish like she has been when left in the past.”

I currently do NOT live with my 3 dogs (kept at my parents house, as i bought another house in lantana with my brother) i will be working 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off at an oil rig in a few months, though my brother who lives with me (also a rover pet care worker) will be at the house 24/7. we both share the same policies and expectations for eachother when it comes to pet care and overnight sitting. my main rule with new dogs and animals in general is patience, empathy and logical solutions. i really don't like the whole getting mad at dogs thing so I tend to use this rule when training and/or sitting dogs as a way to prioritize both me & the pups comfort as well as to set a stable pattern of expected behavior both from me and the pup. I have a built in dog bath in my house as well as a large (ish) room dedicated to them having a place to walk around, eat, play and lay down when i'm not there, the room is also gated.

About: Animals have always been a really big part of my life. I have two Labradors of my own, Bear and Oakley, so I’m very used to big dogs, lots of energy, and all the funny little personalities that come with them. I’m also a very active person and genuinely love getting outside, so long walks, trails, playing outside, and keeping dogs busy are some of my favorite parts of pet sitting. I’ve worked as a veterinary assistant and have experience with dog walking and pet sitting, so I’m comfortable caring for pets with different needs, sticking to their routines, and giving medications when needed. But honestly, what I enjoy most is getting to know each pet and figuring out what makes them happiest and most comfortable. I know how much our pets mean to us, because I feel the same way about Bear and Oakley. I want every pet I care for to get plenty of attention, exercise, patience, and love while their person is away 💛 I have a flexible schedule that allows me to work pet care into my daily routine easily. I’m able to accommodate different schedules and can usually work around your pet’s normal routine, whether they need a quick drop-in, a longer walk, or someone to stay with them. I enjoy being active and spending time outside, so getting out for walks and giving pets plenty of attention fits naturally into my week. I have a fenced yard and two Labradors to keep your pup company. I know how much our pets mean to us, so I always want them to feel comfortable and cared for while you’re away. I’ll keep them on their normal routine, give them plenty of attention, and make sure they get all the little things they’re used to at home. I worked as a veterinary assistant, so I’m comfortable caring for pets and paying attention to the little changes that can sometimes be easy to miss. I’m also big on keeping pets safe, whether that means double-checking a gate, being careful on walks, or making sure they get their medications. I love sending photos and updates, I know I appreciate the same for Bear and Oakley when someone is caring for them.
