I work remotely so I am able to offer drop in and dog walking services weekdays before 8:45 AM, during my lunch break most days, and after 4:30 PM. I also have availability most weekends. For select dogs, I may consider overnight or weekday daycare in my own home on a case-by-case basis, dependent on my own dogs getting along with yours and the behavior of your dog(s) - must be house trained and non-destructive. I use it with my own dogs and with the service dogs I’ve helped train, and I’m happy to continue that approach with your pets. This means no yelling, “punishing”, or other harsh corrective methods will be used.

About: I've been a caregiver for all types if animals my entire life. Helping my aunt on her farm, to having personal furry companions at home to care for. About: Update June 1, 2026. I have taken a part-time job and right now I can only accept cat drop in requests . Unfortunately I can’t commit to dog walking because of this part-time job unless it’s on the weekend. I am answering as a pet owner. I am hoping to start working as a pet sitter/dog walker soon. As a kid we had birds and hamsters, then graduated to cats when I was about 14. As a young adult I usually had up to 4 cats at the same time. When my kids were in high school, my husband introduced me to dogs by re-homing a dog named Lucy. We still have her. I had never had dogs before but I am so glad I did not say NO to hubby at the time. We have 2 dogs now but no cats. I do miss having cats and hope to again some day. I left my job of 34 years and would love to do something I have been wanting to do for a long time but never got around to. I am happy to care for cats too! At my house we have invisible fence to keep the dogs from leaving the yard, though our younger dog needs to be on a long lead because he is so excitable and cannot always be trusted to stay in the yard. We also have invisible fence inside to keep both dogs out of the kitchen.

I’m close to the MetroParks, so even without a fenced yard there’s plenty of opportunity for long walks and fresh air. About: I’m a champion for human & pets alike. Familial animals have been apart of my life since I was a young child and the subsequent years into my adulthood. I received daily updates and loved seeing through photos the bond Poppy and her lab, Peaches, developed. In fact, tonight a yellow lab appeared on the TV in an ad and Poppy went wild barking. I think she already misses her new friend and it has at even been 24 hours. I will most certainly use Colleen for future boarding.”
