“A few months ago my partner and I got a puppy and were about to take our first trip without him in June. We were a bit nervous leaving him for 10 days, but could not have found anyone better than Leah. We were at ease from the moment she picked him up and never had to worry about him while we were gone. Leah sent us long message updates several times a day, always with pictures and videos too. She took him on multiple long walks a day and Monty was in love with her dog Marlowe. By the time we came home, he was excited to see us but was clearly sad to be without Marlowe and Leah. It looked like he was enjoying his vacation just as much as we had been! About: When I was 10 years old, I brought in a stray kitten and begged my parents to keep him. They knew how much I loved animals and had been wanting a cat, so they agreed. We named him Merlin and he was a rambunctious, Siamese. He was the king of stealth and pouncing. Merlin built my cat caring foundation. He was my best bud his whole life. My baby cat now is a calico girl, named Basil. She's a 'super senior' at the age of 16. She also needs an eye ointment, the application of which has become part of our daily routine. In the past, when she has been ill, I've also given her medicine in liquid form via syringe as well as getting her to swallow a pill. I have catsit for my brother’s diabetic cat, Tuna Fish, on several occasions. I administered insulin injections daily. I learned how to measure the proper dosage and how to safely/comfortably give her the injections. She was diagnosed with diabetes in 2020, so it was not easy learning how to give a cat a shot via a Zoom call with the vet! But learning this and helping my brother with the insulin injections, kept Tuna going for 4 more years after diagnosis. This is by far the most medical care experience I have had with pets. Additionally, I took care of a feral cat that would visit me now and then. My family has a home in Albany, in upstate New York. and this is where the feral cat would visit me. He would appear randomly in our backyard. I fed and watered him whenever he came by. He was deaf and the sweetest guy, who loved rubs and to hang out on our deck. He had an extra digit on each front paw, so I dubbed him Thumbs. One day, when he visited, I noticed immediately that he had fleas on him. I gave him a bath a kiddy tub in my backyard with flea shampoo. I bought the flea comb and collar and got rid of those pesky bugs. I know he was grateful because he'd been scratching so hard, his fur was missing in some places.

To explain, I had to go into my office LAST minute and at 1230 am it was my first time using this app and I posted requests for someone to basically dog sit for the same day- she was immediately responsive even though it was a last minute request. Sadie and Philly love to have pals over and love making new friends. Dog handling is in my blood. My grandmother was a breeder and trainer for Guide Dogs of America. Because of her, I have experience with pregnant mothers and newborns. My knack for leash and obedience training came from her as well. I used to manage a dog daycare in Brooklyn and run my own dog walking business back in the day. Now I work from home and have all the time in the world to hang out with dogs! Growing up, my parents had a malamute, a Dalmatian, a lab/setter mix, and a lab/pittie mix. I raised these dogs with my father and learned to care for animals starting from a very young age. My father was a professional dog trainer in Southern California and worked specifically with rescues from kill shelters and aggressive dogs. He taught me everything he knew about training them. Though my first encounters with dogs had been bigger breeds, I found a warm spot in my heart for small breeds I met when I moved to the city. I love all dogs. Our house is perfect for your pet because it is on a quiet street in a quiet neighborhood with its own private backyard. There aren't too many rules here. There are five steps leading up to the house and five steps to the backyard. If your dog is older or has joint issues, this may be worth a consideration. I am experienced and capable to help dogs up and down stairs, but it may not be the best fit if it would stress your pup out. In a perfect world, we could make the arrangements for our dogs to meet at a dog park nearby before the boarding dates, but I realize that everyone has busy schedules and that may not always be possible. At the very least, I would like to meet you and your dog beforehand. I offer a pickup and drop-off service for an additional fee and introduce my dogs to new dogs on neutral territory with a long walk. I have been doing this professionally since 2015. The amenities in my space, my extensive experience, and the wonderful time your pup will have with us are what make staying with us extra special. It truly is your pup's second home. Hope you choose to board with us! I have pets so it is built into my routine and since I work from home, we can keep a regular schedule. I feed them twice a day and walk them twice a day and let them out for breaks in the yard throughout the day. I have a fenced yard with dog friendly plants that dogs can hang out in. Sadie and Phil are always able to make a pup feel comfortable away from home.

I work from 8-4PM and my husband who will be assisting me works from home. Located in Woodhaven Queens I work Monday through Friday from 8-4PM. My husband works from home and helps me if I ever need anything. I’m available up to 3 times per day and can adjust based on preference. For in home visits I can check in every 6-8 hours for any owners traveling. I include pictures, videos , and updates to share all the details of our visit. I’m very easy to communicate with and am willing to adjust to your needs and expectations!

“A few months ago my partner and I got a puppy and were about to take our first trip without him in June. We were a bit nervous leaving him for 10 days, but could not have found anyone better than Leah. We were at ease from the moment she picked him up and never had to worry about him while we were gone. Leah sent us long message updates several times a day, always with pictures and videos too. She took him on multiple long walks a day and Monty was in love with her dog Marlowe.
