“Indigo had a great time with Rochelle and her family! They were easy to communicate with and sent us updates with photos. Rochelle was flexible when our return time changed a bit, which was much appreciated!”

“Marie was able to help me in more ways then one. She was an excellent boarding choice, but also she was able to help me understand my dog when it came to understanding her behavior/needs and training her. I left her home with more tools in my toolbox for my dog.”

“Another great experience with Lourdes. Very attentive to our dog. She kept her happy and safe. We got updates by pictures and videos throughout the entire visit. Very happy to have Lourdes and her family treat Lucy like part of their family.”

“Elizabeth and her family were the perfect sitters for our little Maisie. I was constantly updated with pictures of the family taking her for walks and giving her lots of attention. Will definitely try to use them again.”

“Jenn and her family were exceptional hosts for my Harlow's stay. Harlow was loved on and cared for as much as she is in her own home here with us. We don't often board Harlow, but will not hesitate to rebook with this lovely family.”

“Leslie consistently sends updates and photos with what's going on, making it such a relief when having to travel knowing my pup is being well cared for. I appreciate her care and consideration!”

“This was a great experience for Reilly. Amy's home is very dog friendly, with an easy going, dog loving family, another dog to play with, large fenced yard and doggie door. Amy also sent me pictures so I could see first hand that he was, indeed, making himself right at home! I will definitely book with Amy in the future.”

“Anastasia watched Willow for two weeks while we were in Europe. She sent us updates periodically which was perfect since we were on vacation. Our daughter picked up Willow at the end and said that Willow was content and calm which means Willow had a good time adjusting. We will definitely use Anastasia again!”

“Cara and Dan were wonderful with Murphy! They handled his quirks and kept us up to date with photos. Murphy can be an anxious dog, but he came home happy! We love that they only accept 1 booking at a time and allow the dogs to feel at home with them. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Cara & Dan to anyone looking for a sitter.”

About: I've loved dogs since childhood and have always had one by my side. Right now, I have a toy poodle, so I understand the unique needs of small breeds firsthand—from their exercise requirements to their more delicate care compared to larger dogs. Because of this, I'm especially comfortable and confident caring for small dogs under 20 lbs. What sets me apart is the personal, hands-on experience I bring: I know how to read small dogs' body language, keep them calm around bigger animals, and give them the gentle, attentive care they thrive on. I'm patient, observant, and treat every dog like my own poodle—with genuine affection and close attention to their comfort and safety. I work from home. So I will be able to take care of your pet. If you have something on weekend or on Holiday then you can rely on me I have a toy poodle who is very friendly. He loves to play. If your pup is not aggresive then he will be safe here. I can give your food or my pets food.
“She was amazing with max. Took him for rides, he played with other dogs and enjoyed being there alot. I will definitely be having her watch him again. She would send updates, videos, and pictures of max too.”

“Ricardo was great with my dog! He sent me daily updates and pictures, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. It was clear that my dog was well cared for. My return flight was delayed, which caused me to be late picking him up, and Ricardo was very flexible and accommodating. I really appreciated his understanding. I recommend Ricardo to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, caring, and responsible to take care of their pets. I would book with him again!”

“Lauren and Justin took great care of our dog. They kept her on schedule for feedings and sent us photos a couple time each day. We will definitely use them again in the future!”

“Alina did an amazing job taking care of my cat during Christmas time! She responded quickly and sent me lots of great pictures of my cat during visits. Thank you Alina!”

“I can’t say enough good things about Steph. She does a midday check-in for our 1 yo Australian shepherd a few days a week and he absolutely loves her. He can be a little particular about who he decides is part of the pack and Steph was able to warm him up very quickly, no doubt due to her extensive experience with animals. Steph’s communication is excellent, she’s willing to tailor her service to our dog’s needs and I have total peace of mind leaving our fur baby in her hands because she’s proven to be capable and dependable. She’s even brought one of her dogs and/or kids along sometimes to help us socialize him because I mentioned he struggled with those things. 10/10 would recommend booking Steph.”

“Tracy was amazing. She was always on time and spent quality visits with our cats. Her communication was great. We will certainly think of her next time we need a cat sitter!”

About: I have had a beautiful, high maintenance cat for many years, who has needed a variety of medications and accommodations since I have had him. So I have done research and practice in how to best take care of older cats that need extra care. I have done ear drops, eye drops, pills, oral syringes, and diabetes syringes. I have also been pet sitting for several years for a wide variety of animals, including a range of dogs, rabbits, turtles, and lizards. I take instructions very seriously, and I love to send photos of pets to their owners while I am with their pets. I prefer the opportunity to meet the pets and owners before pet-sitting, to make sure I am clear on expectations and instructions. I work Monday-Friday, 8-5 most weeks, with some flexibility. I have my own car so I am able to go anywhere in a pretty timely manner. I prefer to meet the pets and owners before I do any pet sitting, to make sure I am clear on all instructions and I know what to watch out for. I always check doors carefully to prevent pets from going where they shouldn't, and I don't trust any gaps in fences or doorways because these little guys can wiggle through small spaces.
“If I could give six stars, I would! Sari is so great and thoughtful about every aspect of care. My favorite sitter ever. As a nervous cat dad, I truly appreciate the extra mile she goes with all of Arwen’s likes and her idiosyncrasies. Will definitely hire again. 😁👍”

About: My love for cats grew as I did. As a person who grew up in a household with dogs, I've learned in my adult years to appreciate cats for their unique personalities and quirks (and their lifestyle, we love a cat nap). After I adopted my baby (pictured, her name is Ivy) 5 years ago, my appreciation has turned to a bit of an obsession! Over the past decade of pet sitting I've met and cared for many cats. Visits as well as overnight stays. I also have had some experience in medication administration for kitties, including injections. I know each and every cat has unique needs and preferences. And believe with great communication I am able to care for each different home.
“Grace was lovely! Dottie is a bit of a scaredy-cat for most strangers, but she came out to play on the second visit, so that speaks volumes! Will absolutely work with Grace again.”

“Kelli was a wonderful pet sitter for my two Munchkin cats! Mochi, needed medication daily and she had no issues administering. Mochi can be difficult at times! Hachi, the shy/skittish brother was very happy with Kelli. She gave him extra pets and was happy Kelli was a human cat bed! I received several photos and updates everyday. I would definitely recommend Kelli to sit for your pets too!”

“Sophie is amazing! The love and care she puts into her visits is truly remarkable. We will certainly be requesting for Sophie to come back and visit. Thank you Sophie!”

About: What sets me apart is my reliability, attention to detail, and understanding that every cat has a unique personality. Some cats are social and playful, while others prefer a quieter approach, and I take the time to get to know each cat so they feel comfortable and secure in my care. As a coach and youth sports director, I am responsible for the well-being of many children and families, which has taught me the importance of trust, consistency, and clear communication. I bring those same qualities to pet sitting. Cat owners can count on me to follow routines carefully, pay attention to behavioral changes, and provide updates with photos and messages during every visit. I am patient with shy or nervous cats, attentive to senior cats that may need extra care or medication, and happy to engage playful cats with toys and enrichment activities. My goal is to make your cat feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while giving you peace of mind when you're away.

“Madeline was awesome! She was communicative, sent wonderful photos, and did a great job! We were able to rest easy knowing our cat was in great hands while we’re away! Thanks, Madeline!”

About: My roommate had a kitten and cat for the 4 years we spent in college. I helped feed her, transport her, play with her, etc. I have also looked after neighbors cats that don’t get a long and needed to be separated so I have experience being careful with that. I have experience giving liquid medication to cats.
About: Hello! I am a PhD student at UofR who enjoys spending time outdoors and caring for pets. I'm turning to Rover to find new clients after previously babysitting both cats and dogs in my apartment building, whose owners have recently moved away. I enjoy taking dogs on long walks and hikes, and have experience with many animals, having spent most of my life on a farm. I would love the opportunity to care for your pets and keep them happy and active! I am happy to provide references. As a student, my schedule is busiest midweek, but I have plenty of free time on weekends and can easily accommodate mornings and evenings. Mondays and Fridays are also more flexible, making them great days for drop-ins, walks, or house sitting visits. I want to make sure your pets feel safe and comfortable while you’re away. I do have a car and can transport larger dogs if needed, but I usually prefer caring for pets in their own home. I can do drop-in visits, house sitting, and taking dogs on walks in your neighborhood or mine (wherever they feel most at ease).

About: I have had dogs of my own. I had a lab and a yorkie silk terrier. I treat dogs like they are my children. I will take them on fun walks, make sure their well fed and play with them. I always make sure my focus is on the dogs so they don't feel lonely! Something that sets me apart from other walkers and sitters is that I like cardio. So just walking alot or even running with the dog will not only help me but the dog too! I really want a dog of my own right now but me and my husband don't have the finances so we thought this be the perfect job! I hope you give me a chance to watch your dog! You won't be dissappinted!

About: I have 25 years of experience training and caring for dogs. My journey started when I took my Labrador to a training class. I continued reading books and watching training videos and applying the knowledge to have a well behaved dog. To this day I have continued to apply all I have learned with the animals entrusted in my care. I have been approached by friends and neighbors to assist them in the care and training of their dogs and it continues to be a passion of mine. My home and I are readily available for any and all of your furry loved ones. I look forward to providing a calm, assertive and balanced environment where your dog would feel comfortable and safe in my care.

“Our mini Aussiedoodle Luna is a full of energy and it’s always a little bit anxious when meeting new people, we can not said enough on how Stephanie and Dan were able to get her comfortable with the idea in so short time. Needles to said, what wanted to have was peace knowing that we were leaving her behind for a weekend. And that’s exactly what we got leaving Luna to their care.”

“Sari is so reliable and very communicative. I love knowing my dog has her weekly walks scheduled while I’m at work and Sari does a great job. She goes above and beyond by bringing in packages and making sure my dog is comfortable. Highly recommend her services!”

“Rachel came to our rescue at the very last minute and squeezed in two walks to her very busy schedule for our dog. She was responsive, on time, sent great updates/pics and Koda immediately loved her! Would highly recommend Rachel and look forward to continue working with her.”

“Alexandra was absolutely amazing with my Enzo. She was generous with her time and went above and beyond for me. It makes working long hours so much easier when you know your dog is being well cared for.”

About: I’ve been dog sitting, house sitting, and walking dogs for almost 12 years, and I’ve always loved being around animals! I grew up in a family with three dogs, and we also fostered puppies every summer. Because of this, I’m very comfortable caring for dogs of all personalities and energy levels, and I’ve had plenty of experience understanding their individual needs and routines. I’m responsible, attentive, and always make sure pets feel comfortable and cared for. I love giving dogs plenty of attention, exercise, and affection while their owners are away! I’m currently in nursing school, but I have plenty of availability to care for pets after school and on weekends! I’m usually done with classes by 1 PM at the latest and have most Mondays completely free. Wednesdays are my only more limited day, as I’m at a hospital from 6:30 AM–4:30 PM. On school days, I’m happy to let your dogs out before class and take them on a longer walk afterward so they can get some exercise. I’ll then have the rest of the day available for feeding, potty breaks, playtime, and anything else they need. On weekends, I have no school conflicts and can spend the entire day with your pups! When caring for pets in their home, I make sure to keep their routine as normal and comfortable as possible. I follow any instructions you leave for feeding, walks, medications, and potty breaks, while also giving them plenty of attention and companionship. I’m respectful of your home and always make sure everything is clean and in order before I leave. My goal is for your pets to feel safe, happy, and comfortable while you’re away!
About: I have taken care of dogs since I was a kid. We have always had at least one dog in the house if not more. In the past 6 years I have helped my parents to puppy train twice. I love dogs unconditionally, but I am not afraid to show a little tough love when needed. I’m currently going back to school and attend a lot of local sporting events but I still make it a priority to take my dog for a walk daily. Whether we fit in a walk before I leave in the morning or in-between class and a game, I know how much she loves her walks. I also make sure to give her ample play time when I am home. I make sure that whether the pet is in a fenced in yard or not I am always keeping an eye on them when outside. I always respect the clients wishes regarding their animal being on furniture, in what rooms, and such on.
About: I have been walking dogs and taking care of cats and dogs for years. I give cats and dogs some attention and play with them. I am currently available on weekends and week nights for walking dogs. I am flexible with the times on weekends. I can take dogs for more than 20 minutes to give them more exercise and an enjoyable time. If you need your dog (s) to stay at my house overnight or during the day on weekends, I can look after them, play with them, and walk them. I have a large fenced yard.

About: In highschool I was very popular in my neighborhood from doing there dog nails, to dog sitting, over night stays, and even medications. Even back in high school I had a part time and school and still made sure the fur babies were taken care of. To this day I still dog sit for my neighbor. I also worked at a doggy daycare for about 6 months then i moved, I learned so much while I was there in that short period of time from learning to gain respect and how to control a group of 15+ dogs . And was in a animal science program in highschool with a mentorship at a clinic, then tried to go to college for my vet tech degree but too expensive(still paying that off). I also do have a very energetic German shepherd who I train every day she knows pretty much everything(sit, lay down, roll over, paw, other paw, high five, spin, heel, center, look, leave it, back up, and wait). I also dog sat for my boyfriend's coworker who had an older pointer who had a seziure not only did I comfort the dog but I called owner asap then vet, I then called off of work. Just because it's not my animal doesn't mean I will love them any less. But the take away from all that is I have a lot of experience in the animal department. I'm currently working part time and have a lot of free time on my hands and love being around animals . I only work wensday-saturday the other days I'm free. But as you can see with my profile I do have my own fur baby but my boyfriend never works nights or weekends so she won't be alone. For the pets at clients housing not only will I respond to you text asap even if I'm busy, I will also ask for guide lines and try to keep your dog on the schedule you have them on consistency is key, especially when a change like you leaving happens. I also am a big over thinker so before I let the dog out if you have a yard I will always make sure the gates are close and secure and make sure there's nothing laying out that would harm them. When I dog sit I imagine as if it's my own dog.
About: I have 15+ years each of professional pet care experience. This includes dog walking, pet sitting, dog training, doggy daycare and shelter work. I both have extensive experience with dogs of all ages and needs. I can do daytime walks and drop in visits any day of the week. Evenings are occasionally available as well, just ask and I can see if I'm available! Safety is a top priority when caring for any animals. From dogs and cats to birds, small animals and reptiles, I have 15+ years of experience keeping people's precious pets safe.
“Amanda makes my dogs day he’s so happy thank you for taking such great care of my boy and giving him his treat.. we’ll book with you again *****five star dog sitter*****”

About: I’ve had my own pet-sitting business since I was 12 and have years of hands on experience caring for dogs. Most of my experience is with small and medium sized dogs, but I am also comfortable caring for larger dogs. I understand that every dog has their own personality, like us! I take the time to help them feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for. My job offers a flexible schedule, allowing me to make adjustments based on each dog’s individual needs and routine. I understand how important consistency is and will work closely with owners to create a schedule that keeps their dog comfortable and well cared for. Safety and trust are extremely important to me, both for each dog and their owner. I carefully follow all instructions and take time to learn each dog’s routine, personality, and comfort level.
“Pearl absolutely loves walks with Alina! She’s patient and kind, and makes sure to keep Pearl moving, while working on her leash manners. I’ve never seen her so excited to see a Dogwalker!”

About: New to Rover! I have 20+ years, like most of you, taking care of dogs (all ages & size) walking, training & loving. Raised in Rochester & know all the best parks & trails. I have an SUV and don’t mind taking the dogs places if requested. Night shift worker during the week, I make lots of time for my puppy at home and would love to make time for your dog during the day. I’m available all days of the week, unfortunately that doesn’t mean I’m available all the time but can make time each day of the week if necessary. Just reach out, your odds are high that I can help I know how important pets are to everyone’s family and will treat yours like you do at home, or better :) Learning your dogs behavior is a key to success, the more information the better (behavior around dogs, people, children, chewing, barking) to know if they are acting different in any way. I get excited each time I meet new parents of dogs, i wouldn’t trust some nobody with my dog unless I got to know them first, I am in my mid twenties and have lived in pittsford/penfield for most of life, I do not drink if that matters to you, I’d say based off appearance I look pretty clean unless it’s cold out then you may only be seeing what’s visible under my hood or hat. I’m well educated in the do’s and don’ts on what is safe and unsafe for dogs and puppies to accidentally eat. Coming from a family that has dealt with Lyme Disease I take precaution in where my dogs are roaming, and always checking my puppy and past dogs constantly for ticks
