“Jane was so lovely and her dog Fancy is so cute! Our puppers needed a one night boarding while we were at a wedding. Jane took great care of him and sent so many photos, videos, and updates throughout the night and the next morning. She asked great questions if she was unsure of things. I loved the communication and flexibility Jane provided. Our dog was so happy when we came back to pick him up which let us know he had a great time at Jane’s! Would definitely recommend as a sitter!”

“Anton and his wife were great hosts to my dog pears. You can tell they are very experienced with dogs. They welcomed him as if it was his home, took plenty of pictures, and updated me the whole time along the way. They even took him out for a field trip to the beach! My dog came back to me happy as ever. Thanks Anton!!!”

“Patricia is a very warm and generous person. My pup had a lot of fun and I could tell from the pictures she sent me everyday while he was staying with her. Highly recommended! Thank you.”

“Yiqi was amazing! She kept me in the loop the entire time, and when I tell you my dog came home happier than ever, and low-key depressed to be back with me, I couldn't stop laughing. I mean, I’m the one who found him this amazing sitter!”

“Valerie had another great stay with Rachel’s family! She was knocked out from all the playing and long walks when she got home. It was obvious she’s grown very attached to Rachel and her family, and she loves spending time at their house.”

“This is the first time I’ve had to leave my dog with a boarder and I’m happy to say she had a great time! Ziwei was super communicative and sent multiple photos everyday. I could see that Momo was getting along well with Ziwei’s dogs and her family so that made me feel relieved. Momo was also able to sleep in bed with Ziwei or her children! Would definitely board Momo with Ziwei again in the future. Thanks so much Ziwei!”

“Erica is absolutely amazing! My very energetic pup stayed for a week and I think he had a better vacation than we did. We received pictures several times a day keeping us updated on what he was doing. Thank you Erica for being patient and treating him as one of your own.”

“We’re so grateful for how Kitty took care of Sydney! It was such a relief knowing she’s happy and well-cared for while we were away. Kitty was very responsive and thoughtful with pictures and updates throughout Sydney’s stay with her. 5/5 stars, highly recommend Kitty!”

“Pamela and her family were excellent. Milo is a very energetic puppy and they took wonderful care of him and helped him feel comfortable. He was a little nervous at first and she did everything to help him adjust. I got tons of updates and pictures during my trip. They would take him out and give him all the exercise he needed. They treated him like part of the family. This was our first time using Rover and it was an excellent experience. She has excellent communication and quick response. I would highly recommend Pamela as a sitter and would use her again.”

“Michael watched our dog June for one night in preparation for a longer stay and was very communicative and helpful! We’re looking forward to having June stay with him again.”

“Ravon was extremely communicative and wonderfully patient with my crabby cat! They clearly loves animals and know how to care for them. Being able to have Val stay in the home of someone so trustworthy was a big relief over the holidays.”

“This is the second long trip we’ve left our dog with Margaret and they do such a great job of making Maggie Anne a part of their family while we are gone. Really appreciate that Maggie feels at home.”

“Our dog had a wonderful stay. You can tell Ekaterina loves animals. Our dog was comfortable with her from the moment they met. It was so comforting to know our pet was in such good hands. We got a lot of pictures and you could tell our dog was enjoying her stay with Ekaterina's family.”

“I’m so happy I made the right choice and left my angel with Sam! She sent constant updates with pictures while we were on our vacation. My dog was very happy in each photo and was well taken care of. She even made sure she got her ear medication every day which was important. She got plenty of walks everyday and lots of playtime. I appreciate her dedication to making sure she feels at home. Zula blended in with her family seamlessly. I HIGHLY recommend Sam😊.”

“Doris was awesome with accommodating a last-minute request to board Brownie due to an event. I was having at home. Drop off and pick up we’re extremely easy and she sent me photos of Brownie several times. Doris and her daughter were very gentle with her, and I would definitely recommend her services!”

About: My neighbors have a total of 6 cats! Whenever they go away, I’m always the first contact to cat sit! I have always had a soft spot for cats and LOVE to respect their space and time!

About: I have experience caring for cats for the past 6 years through helping friends and family with pet sitting and daily care. I have experience with overnight pet stays and understand the importance of maintaining a routine while giving plenty of attention, patience, and love.
About: *I only take one pet at a time for boarding and day care (two if they are in the same family). For additional pets, please inquire. My rates are firm and reflect the level of care I will provide* I know the feeling of never wanting to leave your fur baby behind. Wherever I went, if I couldn’t take my pets with me, then I would rather not go at all. But sometimes when work calls or when you simply need a little “me” time, we need help from someone we can trust to love and care for our pets while we’re away. I would love to be that person for you! My pet care experience comes from working at and caring for shelter animals, caring for stray cats, fostering cats and dogs, and loving my own beloved pets (My two dogs that have since passed - Terri, 18, Maple, 12, and cat - August, 4). I’m fear-free certified and have extensive experience caring for senior dogs and pets with special needs (especially cushings, CHF, CCD). I can help with giving oral medications and am open to assisting with other needs if you’re willing to teach. If your pet knows any commands or is in training, I’m happy to help reinforce their skills too (just let me know!). In addition to my experience above, I was also featured on NY1’s New Yorker of the week segment for my volunteer work at Animal Haven, an animal shelter based in Manhattan. My home is super senior-dog friendly with rugs all around the house so your pups don’t slip, pet oxygen for emergencies, plus strollers for pets with special needs. I work remote and have a lot of flexibility in my schedule. I offer pet day care, house sitting, and boarding. Please see my calendar for availability. HOUSE SITTING - overnight stays in your home DROP INS - 30 minutes and I’ll do whatever is needed in that time. This could be a combination of feeding, meds, walking, indoor playtime, etc. WALKS - 30 minutes, strictly outdoors walking, ideal for high-energy, active dogs. BOARDING - Your dog stays overnight at my place. I do a minimum of 2-4 walks a day, depending on your dogs needs. Owners must provide food for their pets, but I can also accommodate for an added fee of $5 per day (includes treats/meals). Please ask about food options and provide allergy info + food preferences if interested in that service. DAY CARE - Drop off for day care is between 7-9am and pick up is between 4-6pm. I will love and care for your pet the way you do for them. I treat every animal I care for like family, providing patience, space, and extra attention as needed. I’m super safety conscious and keen on details, so if there are any particular habits, routines, or schedules you’d like me to follow, if your pet is trained or undergoing training and there’s anything you want me to reinforce, or if your pet has special needs and requires special care, please reach out to me with those details. I am always willing and more than happy to work with you to make sure they are cared for and to give you peace of mind. Rest assured, you’ll be getting plenty of updates and photos from me!

“Aleksander is a life saver. He made himself available with very short notice to drop in on my cat while I was out of town. He is friendly and conscientious.”

“Maria was absolutely fantastic with my very shy, semi-feral cat, Bebe. Maria approached her with such patience, respect, and understanding. From the start, she was calm and gentle, never pushing interaction, and gave my cat the space she needed to feel safe. Remarkably, by the end of the visits, my kitty was actually more comfortable around her — a huge win! Maria also followed my very detailed instructions to a tee, which gave me total peace of mind. She sent thorough updates, including thoughtful notes and clear, great photos that truly showed how things were going, which really reassured me while I was away. Her attention to detail and commitment to my cat's comfort were above and beyond. Maria is the kind of sitter you hope to find. She truly understands cats and provides the kind of care that builds trust and comfort — both for the pet and the owner. Highly, highly recommend! Will definitely book her again.”
“Tracy was excellent pet sitter with cat. She went above with making sure he had everything he needed and more. She even brought our mail in which was very much appreciated. I will definitely keep her in mind for my next trip.”

“Jacquelyne is amazing and takes wonderful care of my difficult cat! She’s my go-to sitter, and I always know my cat is in great hands with her. I highly recommend her.”

“This was my second time having Travis come by and take care of my cat, he did a great job and kept my kitty company, even cleaned up a little accident she had after eating too fast! Will definitely keep using Travis as my sitter in the future, very nice and professional! Thanks so much!”

About: Hi! I'm Janis—a current college student on a gap semester, excited to meet your pet(s)! I’ve been caring for all kinds of animals since I was young—dogs, cats, guinea pigs, hamsters, fish—you name it! Over the years, I’ve worked with a wide range of dogs— from energetic puppies to senior dogs, as well as large breeds like Pit Bulls, Samoyeds, and Labradors. I am open to making exceptions for some large breeds depending on their behavior and after a meet-and-greet. I’ve also volunteered at an animal shelter, where I gained experience walking and handling anxious dogs. My experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant has given me strong familiarity with handling medications, special diets, and injury care. I’m highly attentive, detail-oriented, and comfortable following specific care instructions to ensure your pet’s safety and well-being. I’m very responsive and make sure pet parents always feel connected by sending frequent photo and video updates. I take time to understand each pet’s personality and bond with them through the activities they enjoy most. I’m currently on a gap semester, which gives me a very flexible schedule for pet care. I’m able to spend most of the day with them, with exceptions for errands, but they will never be left alone, as I live with family. I provide at least 2–3 walks or potty breaks per day, and I’m happy to adjust based on your pet’s needs and routine. I also accept last-minute bookings whenever possible! I prioritize safety, comfort, and clear communication at all times. I’m primarily based in Brooklyn, where I live in a house with a fenced front yard and provide most of my pet care services. I also occasionally stay at a second home in Pasadena, Maryland with a large fenced backyard and offer care locally there when I’m in the area. I do not transport pets between locations– services are always provided in one consistent environment to ensure your pet’s comfort and safety. During walks, I take a cautious approach by starting in quieter areas with minimal traffic to help pets feel secure, especially in new environments. I always pay close attention to their behavior and surroundings. I live with my family, so pets will never be left alone if I had to run out, and I always communicate this clearly with owners ahead of time. I currently don’t have other pets in my Brooklyn home aside from fish, which allows me to give your pet my full attention. I can also follow instructions like crating or separating pets if needed.
About: For more than 30 years I have been engaged in the maintenance, care and training of my pets. I love animals, taking care of pets gives me pleasure. I have had many different animals, I have experience in caring for turtles, fish, hamsters and cats. I currently work part-time at a dog daycare, where I care for dogs of different breeds, sizes, and personalities every day. This experience has helped me become confident handling both energetic and shy dogs in a safe and attentive way. I’m available for dog walks and drop-in visits on Mondays, Fridays, and weekends by appointment. I always try to be flexible and provide reliable communication and photo updates for pet parents. Dogs have been an important part of my life since childhood, and I have over 30 years of experience caring for pets. I have experience with large breeds such as Huskies and Giant Schnauzers, as well as senior dogs and pets who need medication or extra attention. My priority is making every dog feel safe, calm, and comfortable. I pay close attention to each pet’s personality, routine, and energy level, and I always follow the owner’s instructions carefully. I believe patience, consistency, and trust are the foundation of good pet care.
About: I've had pets literally my entire life, and I'm obsessed with animals. I've cared for cats, dogs, bunnies, birds, rats, fish and hamsters. I am TNR certified, have extensive volunteer experience, care for a local street cat colony, have fostered, and have four rescue cats of my own. I am comfortable with literally any cat, and have a knack for helping to socialize shy or reluctant cats. I am currently in-between jobs, so have plenty of time to dedicate to my furry friends! Pet care is a daily part of my routine in general. Pets mean everything to me- they're family. It's the same principle as when I worked in nursing homes- I treat your pet the way I would want mine to be treated.

About: Hi! I’ve been taking care of cats since I was 5 years old and have two of my own! I am very good at getting them to approach me and like me, and always respect their boundaries.

“This was my first time my dog went to doggy day care. Yiqi assured me many times my dog, Popcorn, will be fine. She updated me throughout the day with pictures and videos of him - that gave me a peace of mind. She send me texts about how he was when I left him and pretty soon Popcorn was very comfortable in Yiqi's house. I love how her daughter was so into playing with Popcorn which helps him relax and feel comfortable. I appreciate Yiqi's understanding when I was running late - she was not rushing me. When I finally picked up Popcorn - she gave me the latest update with what she did with Popcorn and how his walk was. All in all - Yiqi was very professional and loving to my dog and myself. The constant updates was a bonus to help me ease into Doggy Day Care. I have an upcoming trip so I will be considering leaving Popcorn with her and her family that week.”

“Ziwei is super sweet! She was very understanding and accommodating to my dogs specific needs. She made our first rover experience super easy and I felt reassured leaving my dog with her.”

About: Over 10 years of experience training and caring for small and large dogs including my own gentle giant. We have a laid back home with a fenced yard and I love to take pups for walks around the neighborhood or to the dog park to socialize. The most important thing is to give our pups the best care they need and set them up for success! For my own dog, we keep a regular routine for feeding and exercise. The same will apply to your dog! From you, I need to know what your dog is used to and needs so I can give them the best care. I have a fenced backyard and ability to leash dogs on the front porch for people watching. My own dog is very friendly loves to play when not snoozing.

“Patricia took care of my 2 month old puppy, Honor on weekdays while I was at work until he turned 5 months old. Patricia did a great job letting him out in the fenced in backyard for potty training. She knew how to correct his puppy biting. She made sure that she fed him and mixed in peanut butter to ensure that he ate his food. She did a wonderful job taking care of Honor for the last 3 months. He was well taken care of. Also, her son Teo loves playing with Honor. He got socialized well when Patricia takes Honor with her to pick up her son. I would book her again in the future.”

“Alex was great with my male Bernese Mountain Dog weighing 130 pounds. He handled my dog confidently and calmly, which is especially important given his size. We live in a densely populated area, and Alex did an excellent job managing walks safely and responsibly around people and distractions. I felt very comfortable trusting him with my dog and would absolutely recommend him to anyone with a large breed.”

I work full time from home so I will have plenty of time for bathroom breaks, play breaks, and cuddles! I honestly think having them at home with me is more for my sanity LOL I live in a 2 family home. I don't have a yard but I do give free roam of the whole house and I allow pets on furniture. About: I've been around dogs since I was a baby. Everyone in my family has had multiple dogs throughout my life, including me. I have experience walking, feeding and taking overall care of all dogs in my family. I'm currently unemployed and looking for a job at a Vet clinic to get more experience in the field! I will be attending school to become a Vet Tech in the spring. I do have a puppy of my own that I need to take time out of the day to be with but I am readily available most of the time and can do multiple drop-ins / walks throughout the day. I have a fenced yard and two friendly dogs to keep your fur baby safe. I can also crate your dog or section off a part of the house for them if needed :)
About: Hi! I’m Sophie, I'm 28, and I'm someone who genuinely enjoys spending time outdoors and being around animals. While I’m relatively new to pet care, I’m eager, attentive, and committed to making sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and cared for. I stay active and go on daily walks (usually about an hour), so I’m especially excited about opportunities to walk dogs and keep them engaged. I’ve had some hands-on experience walking a friend’s dog, and I’ve really enjoyed building that routine and connection. I also have a small goldfish tank at home, so I’m familiar with the basics of maintaining a pet environment. In terms of availability, starting April 16th, I expect to work full time in office Monday through Friday (with early dismissal on Fridays) and I’ll be available on Friday evenings and throughout the weekends. I would be comfortable offering services for dog walking and making drop-in visits. I would like getting to know your pet's routines and what would be expected from me.
About: When I was a child my family owned and cared for dogs, horses, bunnies, and chickens which meant I became an animal caretaker at a very young age. In addition to helping to feed, groom, and clean up after our pets, I was aIso responsible for administering our dog’s daily diabetes insulin. My childhood prepared me well for becoming a dog mom to a longhaired dapple Dachshund in early 2021. I cannot imagine my life without him and cannot wait for your furbaby to become his furbuddy! I'm also the proud owner of Boogs & Boop, a small business specializing in pet accessories, with a portion of proceeds donated to supporting animal shelters and dogs in need. This commitment reflects my deep passion for caring for dogs and their well being. I work full time from home, so Dog Mom is my 24/7 job title. HOUSE-SITTING CLIENTS PLEASE NOTE: During house sits, I typically continue my normal schedule with other pet care clients (walks, drop-ins, etc.), so I may be out of the home for portions of the day. If your pet requires near-constant or 24/7 care, please let me know in advance. I may be able to accommodate, but this would require adjustments for my own dog and existing clients and may involve an additional fee. I care for pets in my home since I also have my furbaby to attend to. This means there’s always healthy treats, pee pads, dog wipes, and pet first aid products on hand. I understand that being away from your furbaby can be nerve-wracking, but you can rest assured that I will provide clear communication and photo updates when your pet is in my care. I do not have an attached yard, but the park is a hop, skip, and a jump away, so it’s easy to take potty breaks whenever necessary. PLEASE NOTE: 1. Please arrive with your pet on a leash. I am a strong advocate for pet safety and leash laws. 2. Due to Covid-19 precautions, I do not allow guests into my home, but would be happy to meet you downstairs at drop-off and pick-up times. 3. I will ALWAYS send photos throughout the appointment, even if not directly requested. INCLEMENT WEATHER DISCLAIMER: I take all weather advisories seriously. When the heat index is above 90°F degrees or windchill is below 20°F walks will be cut short for your pet's safety and for my own. Walks will consist of “doing their business” then returning indoors. Regular service is maintained in the rain, but will be postponed due to thunder, lightning, or blizzards. Walks may be early or delayed depending on the forecast. I will always communicate with dog owners if a change of plan is necessary due to dangerous weather and temperatures. Thank you for your understanding.
About: I have over 5 years of hands-on experience caring for dogs and cats of different breeds, sizes, and temperaments. I’m comfortable with puppies, senior pets, and animals that need extra attention or patience. I focus on creating a calm, safe environment and always follow the pet’s routine closely (feeding, walking, medication if needed). I’m attentive to behavior changes and make sure pets feel secure and loved while their owners are away. I also provide regular updates, photos, and clear communication so you always know your pet is in good hands. I have a flexible schedule and can adapt to your pet’s needs. I’m available on weekdays and weekends, including mornings and evenings. Since I manage my time independently, I can provide consistent care, walks, check-ins, or extended stays depending on what your pet requires. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I make sure the environment is clean, calm, and secure, and I always follow any specific instructions you provide. I pay close attention to details like food routines, allergies, behavior, and safety during walks. I never leave pets unattended in unsafe situations and always ensure they feel relaxed and cared for. I treat every pet as if it were my own—with patience, respect, and genuine care.
About: Hi there! I’ve always been surrounded by friends’ dogs (and other pets!) growing up. I remember learning how to walk, bathe and understand their dogs in elementary school and always begging my parents to have a fur baby of our own. I’ve learned a great deal through their personal journeys and am looking to have a dog of my own in the future! Your pet will be greatly loved, respected, and safe while you’re away without worry. And of course, updates and photos are guaranteed! I’m greatly detail oriented, meticulous and compassionate about all furry friends. I hope to love them like they’re my own. I work full time remote so I’ll be home fully during the week to care for your furry companion. I’m super transparent on when I’ll need to step out during weekends for commitments or errands and will let you know ahead of time. Despite being fully flexible, I would only accept boarding of dogs without any intense separation anxiety that may result in accidents in the home or continuous barking that would invoke noise complaints in my apartment building. For a suitable match, I would only board dogs that can be alone for minimum 4-5 hours. If they can only tolerate being alone <4 hours, we won’t be a great fit! I thank you ahead of time for your understanding and I’m always open for a chat if we want to talk more details! My apartment is an elevator and pet friendly building and we have a rooftop for fresh air and space. I live with my partner, no pets and with occasional friends that may visit (if your pet is okay with this)! There are parks nearby for long or short walks as well. My space is kept clean and neat at all times too! I never use harsh cleaning products in my home and I also don’t have any plants that may harm pets as well.

About: Hi all! I am crazy about all dogs and am the proud pawrent to two adopted furbabies. One male, pocket pitmix, 6 and one female, chihuahua mix, 4. Both are fixed and friendly. To prevent an intervention of being the owner of way too many dogs to be socially acceptable, I’m opting to be a Rover walker and sitter instead. I am looking to make your dog extra comfortable by having dates where we can walk, play, have treat times, and take selfies. :) Happy to oblige with requests medical/dietary needs, dog park visits, sing alongs, etc. Very flexible with traveling and breeds to house-sit. Dogs are welcome on the furniture and in the bed. Have had dogs of various sizes and breeds (poodle, chihuahua, German Shepherd, cocker spaniel, currently pocket Pit mix) in the past, and am comfortable with any best friend of yours!
About: I am a true animal lover. I have had a dog and cats my entire life. My first cat was presented me when I was 6 years old and since that time animals always have been part of our family. And I really really love that fact . I am extremely responsible and punctual , and sensitive and attentive to pets’needs. I live in southern Brooklyn. My appartment is clean, safe, comfortable and sunny . No children. It is situated near the ocean and beautiful little park so it’s wonderful neighborhood for walking dogs and having fun. I also work from home so your best friend will never be alone. I look forward to caring for your best friend! You are welcome to ask any questions.

“Erin and her family took such wonderful care of my boy while I was traveling internationally. He just loved playing with her kids and dog Newton. And the many updates kept me well informed and connected. It’s clear he enjoyed his stay so much, especially their yard for playing! Seeing him become such a welcome temporary addition to their family made my travels so much easier. My highest endorsement for such a great sitter and boarding experience 💯”

“First time booking on Rover. Elaine is very accommodating and I was able to book her on short notice. I have a six month old pug puppy who is very energetic and just got a neuter surgery, and she was able to accommodate his needs and care for him. She sent photos while I was away, mainly of him napping so I know he was tired out. She provided feedback on his pulling behaviors on walks and suggested different types of harnesses. I will definitely book her again, and thank you, Elaine!”

“April did an amazing job taking care of Arlo in the Blizzard!! She sent frequent updates and pictures and I was able to rest easy knowing he was in good hands! Book her!”
