I have experience with labs, golden retrievers, German shepherds, Rottweilers, and pit bulls mostly but love all dogs. “Laurie was wonderful! We booked her for a few days worth of drop-in visits with our 1 year old dog Luna (40-lb border collie mix). We've only had Luna for 4 months (rescue) and she is incredibly timid and loud around strangers in the house. We were worried going into the weekend that we might even have to cancel our trip because Luna has been unmanageable by just about everyone we've tried to get to walk her. And even with us, on walks she is easily distracted and will try to chase everything from squirrels to grasshoppers. It can be a challenge for non-family to even get close enough to get a leash on her. Laurie was so kind and patient with Luna, and spent so much time with her to gain her trust. She proved fully capable of leashing Luna and bringing her on long walks. We will definitely be booking Laurie again! (provided she would be willing!)”

About: Without exception, the dog park is always one of the best parts of my day. I've had three dogs of my own, and have been around countless other dogs, most of whom instantly become my new best friends. We just gravitate to each other, hence the fuzzy friend whisperer nickname. I have a playful, loving attitude toward every dog I meet. Vogel Emergency Vet just opened right across the street from our house, so if anything kind of emergency pops up, your baby will be a hop, skip and a jump away from the care they need. I'm self employed and work mostly from home so my schedule is quite flexible. Sometimes I’ll have drop in visits throughout the day, but if your dog is boarding with me, there will generally be someone else at home with them. They’ll rarely, if ever be left alone. I live on a small farm but also live near a road, so your dog will always be safely on a leash when we go outside for potty breaks. I have a very friendly 12 year old 45lb labradoodle named Huck to keep your baby company in the rare cases that I'm not at home. I have a "squirrel observatory" (bird feeder) right near my workspace so your dog will not only be supervised most of the time but also entertained.

About: Since I was a young girl I was always the family remember in charge of making sure our pets were fed, entertained, trained and given exercise. Around the age of 10 was my first time watching over our neighbors new puppy as they went on vacation. At the time I was nervous but my energetic energy matched the puppy perfectly. Currently i’m renting an apartment at my college UNH with my cat and a roommate. My neighbors who have pets continuously asked me to watch them because of how much time and energy I put into carrying for them. Sometimes I only watch them for the day when work or school takes over and other for extended periods of time. If this becomes the case I make sure to walk and entertained the pet so that they don’t feel lonely. Cat sitting in house is my most common form of cat sitting. Cats and dogs have very different needs from a sitter that I can provide with my years of experience working and owning my own pets I’m currently on summer break until August so my availability to spend time with your fur babies is very open. Keeping in mind that it is still my break there will be times in which I wish to fully experience my summer :) If there is a fenced in yard or not, I still plan to take pups on daily leash walks to ensure safety of the both of us. Ultimately whatever the client feels most comfortable and confident with I will ensure to use those methods. This can include crate use, specific walk routes, specific animal preferences and more.

I am very timely with replies. If I do not reply the day of, I will the next day. Communicate safety rules with owners prior to pet sitting, and making sure I know where everything is located, such as, food, leash, vet phone, medications. Whether or not your baby is sensitive to certain things like being touched or picked up, if they prefer calm energy or high energy. I also communicate the whole time with pet parents to reassure that their baby is in good hands and happy. Please include emergency contacts. I always leave the key hidden where it was found, in the event that there is an emergency. I haven't had this occur, but it's a good precaution

“Shana was truly an exceptional sitter and we feel so lucky to have found her. From the moment we arrived, it was clear how thoughtful and prepared she was — she even had a clipboard with notes ready, which immediately made us feel comfortable and confident leaving our dog in her care. Throughout the stay she sent so many photos and detailed updates, which we really appreciated. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing exactly how things were going and seeing how happy our dog was. Our pup ended up having a bit of a GI issue while we were away, and Shana handled it with such calm confidence and care. She clearly knows dogs incredibly well and was so composed and knowledgeable in every situation. She even cooked rice and chicken for her to help settle her stomach and kept us updated on how she was doing, which meant so much to us. Shana, her husband Dylan, and their dog Cleo created such a warm, loving environment. It genuinely felt like our dog was being cared for by people who truly understand and love dogs. We are so grateful for the care she gave our pup and would trust Shana with her again in a heartbeat.”

“It was very easy to work with Katie from scheduling a meet and greet to arranging the drop off and pick up times. She and her daughter were very good to our little chihuahua and accommodated the special needs of a tiny dog (5 lbs) who admittedly is a bit of a princess. She is also an excellent communicator, sending us pictures and updates regularly as she was sensitive to the fact that we were nervous leaving our pup in a new place. Thank you Katie!”

“My Nutty aka Nutmeg had an awesome time! Loved the pictures and videos - Thank you Jaclyn & family! He is a one person dog, loves other dogs, but he does not do well sequestered away, crated, etc. He needs people interaction and cuddling! He got tons here. Nutty is high energy and loves room to run so the fenced yard was golden. Lol. Usually he doesn't eat when I'm not around but he ate all his food! I was amazed. So this is definitely my go to place from now on.”
