As well as owning my own pets most of my life (dogs, cats, ferret, birds, rabbits, etc.), I also have a Bachelor of Science degree in pre-veterinary medicine. I have pet-sat for several friends and clients, volunteered at shelters, worked at veterinary clinics, boarding facilities, and for a professional dog walking company. You can rest easy as your pet will be safe in my care. I follow directions well and get the details right! Why I love dog walking and sitting: I have been a dog lover since the day I was born. My first dog, Chief, helped raise me! Since then, I have owned a dog most of my life. Some have called me the "dog-whisperer". I have a pretty good perception of dogs and connect very easily with most. My last dog, Wendell, was a 150 lb. mastiff whom I adopted when he was 4.5 years old. He had never been socialized and was scared of most people, so in the six years we were together, I gained a lot of first-hand experience working through behavioral issues in a very large and strong breed. Our current dog is Lucy, a happy-go-lucky bull terrier who is deaf. She loves every living being! I’m also comfortable taking care of cats and other pets. My experience administering medication: I've given lots of oral meds and various ointments, eye drops, ear drops, etc. My schedule is pretty flexible. I’m typically available any day of the week and can do early mornings and late evenings if needed. Let me know your needs and I will do my best to accommodate! We have a secure, fenced yard, a doggie door, and a covered back patio with doggie beds perfect for lounging in the sun or shade. We also have a friendly bull terrier who will happily keep your dog company! We can easily keep your dog in a separate room while we are away from the house if you prefer. Lucy’s dad/my significant other, Pedro, also lives here and also loves animals.

About: We have been taking care of dogs since 2018! We are so enjoying it!! Hubby walks the dogs and I cuddle and play! It's a win win for your fur baby! For doggie day care we are available between 8 am and 6pm Monday through Friday. Would love long term . We do have one small dog. For boarding we are available both weekdays and weekends. We have a nice fenced-in backyard and my husband takes the dogs out for walks when possible! When that option isn't available,they have dedicated playtime in the yard.We have one dog that is not initially playful but takes a while to warm up but he does typically! I do require a meet and greet before committing and for pets to show proof of rabies shots,heartworm and flea and tic treatments. I work part time outside the home but my hubby works part time in the home so rarely are we both gone at the same time. I have a fenced in yard and my husband tries to walk our dog daily.Typically will hit the area walking trails. If necessary, he is willing to walk animals separately(older dog who can not walk as long or dogs who have health challenges)Our dog is aloof and takes a bit of time to adjust but usually does. We are attentive to this and supervise very closely until we see how things are going to be. We own both a large and small dog crate and can separate them if needed

About: I’ve been pet sitting for friends, families, & neighbors since I was in middle school & I love all kinds of animals big & small! I grew up with a labradoodle and a pitbull mix, helping my family take care of & train them. Since then, I’ve lived with 3 different cats with very different personalities that I helped take care of! As well as owning my own pets most of my life (dogs, cats, ferret, birds, rabbits, etc.), I also have a Bachelor of Science degree in pre-veterinary medicine. My first dog, Chief, helped raise me! Since then, I have owned a dog most of my life. Some have called me the "dog-whisperer". I have a pretty good perception of dogs and connect very easily with most. My last dog, Wendell, was a 150 lb. mastiff whom I adopted when he was 4.5 years old. He had never been socialized and was scared of most people, so in the six years we were together, I gained a lot of first-hand experience working through behavioral issues in a very large and strong breed. Our current dog is Lucy, a happy-go-lucky bull terrier who is deaf. She loves every living being! I’m also comfortable taking care of cats and other pets. My experience administering medication: I've given lots of oral meds and various ointments, eye drops, ear drops, etc. My schedule is pretty flexible. I’m typically available any day of the week and can do early mornings and late evenings if needed. Let me know your needs and I will do my best to accommodate! We have a secure, fenced yard, a doggie door, and a covered back patio with doggie beds perfect for lounging in the sun or shade. We also have a friendly bull terrier who will happily keep your dog company! We can easily keep your dog in a separate room while we are away from the house if you prefer.
