“So happy to have found Sarah and her sweet family. Lincoln stays with ease and seems right at home in their environment. The backyard for Lincoln is an extra plus.”

“Rick is our go-to dog care for our nervous (but sweet) Sheltie. He takes such great care of him and communicates extremely well about how he’s doing on his stay. We love Rick!”

“Hope and her family are animal lovers and it shows. They were flexible about drop off and pickup times and weren't offended when I asked for a meet and greet before leaving our dog.”

“Jacqueline and Sammy are truly exceptional—kind, attentive, and clearly passionate about caring for animals. They looked after our energetic golden collie mix while we were in Europe for five days, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. After a few not-so-great experiences with dog sitters in Asheville, we were a little nervous to be away for that long, but Jacqueline and Sammy quickly put us at ease with regular updates and photos. It was clear from the start that they genuinely wanted our dog to feel at home. They took her on multiple walks and play sessions every day, and when we returned, she was so happy and relaxed—she didn’t even want to leave! We’re incredibly grateful to have found them.”

“Jenn was amazing! Very responsive and easy to communicate with. My dog loved her right away and she sent picture updates along the way. 10/10 would have her watch my dog again :)”

“100⭐️ Our girls stayed for a week and were in heaven! Playing all day, long walks, and snuggles in the bed! My dog mom heart is beyond grateful for Alyssa & Brian! They’ve made an incredible home dedicated to their love of pets. They even taught our lab to use the auto ball thrower in 2 hours where I’ve been trying for months! Alyssa & Brian are incredible! I trust you both so much & appreciate all the love you give our girls! 🐾”

“Oh my goodness, Bridget rules! Like any good pet owner, we get stressed leaving our boy behind for trips he can’t tag along on, and Bridget ensured that Rigby had tons of play time, walks, and rest. She was super communicative and sent lots of updates. We feel like Rigby is in good hands with her!”

“My pup Pickles stayed with Brody for a week while I was out of town. Brody has great demeanor and command with all the dogs he takes care of. Always seems to have multiple on site which was a bonus for me as it gave Pickles lots of social time with the others. Every dog that was there, when I was present, listened well and and seemed very happy. I had the chance to check out the set-up before booking and there's plenty of room to roam, play or relax - whether each dog wants to socialize or just hang out by themselves. Finally, his "dog cave" (think Man-Cave/She-shed) was perfect for the dogs to cool off and sleep in a climate controlled and peaceful environment - with each dog having their own crate to call home. Brody provided pics/videos of Pickles to ease my mind - knowing he was being well taken care of and happy in my absence.”

“Kali was so wonderful. My mollie enjoyed her time with her and her pups! She kept me posted on mollies needs and I am grateful she worked with me on my hectic schedule.”

“Guinness came home relaxed and happy after his stay with Kristin and Seth. Their comfort level and joy with having dogs in their home was obvious. Our boy received lots of attention and activity (walks) while we were away. Thank you so much!”

“You'll notice multiple reviews from me and this is why: I trust and appreciate Chanelle - and cannot recommend her enough. She takes care of your pet as her own. She supports you as their owner because she has been a pet owner herself. She is wonderful.”

“Kristin was awesome with Chance and Sally! They had a great time and really enjoyed her big fenced in back yard! I will certainly use her again if staying in the area again and highly recommend her!”

“Erin took great care of our sweet dog, Lily. She was easy to communicate with, replied quickly, and sent pictures to let us know how much fun Lily was having playing in the river with Erin. I will be using her again, soon, and would highly recommend her to anyone!”
“I cannot express how much we appreciate Julie! She is extremely responsible, always reliable, and loves my dog like one of her own. This is the first time we did an in-home stay for our large, goofy lab. The peace of mind we have knowing he is so well taken care of is invaluable. I highly recommend Julie.”

“Buddy had the best time with Kyle and her pup, Louie. They were all fast friends. Kyle was flexible and communicative before and during his stay. I wouldn’t hesitate to trust her again!”

“Ethan and Hope are amazing! We have a big puppy who is stubborn and does what he wants, along with two small pups who love to play. All three came back happy and sleepy. Can’t recommend them enough!”

“Paul was phenomenal from the get go. From the meet and greet to Mavis coming home communication was amazing. He sent updates and videos as Mavis settled in and adjusted. I highly recommend him to everyone. You won’t regret it. We will be booking with him again.”

“Jessica and Jack were such nice people. They were very communicative and responded quickly to anything I wrote. They sent me photos and videos of Lupe and their daughters. Lupe seemed to be having a good time. It was the perfect environment for Lupe. They took good care of her while she was recovering from a leg injury. She seems to be doing better after her long weekend with them.”
“Fantastic stay for my dog! Miranda was very communicative while I was away and sent lots of pics & updates. My dog returned home a happy and tired camper. Would absolutely send her here again.”

“Benjamin was a wonderful pet sitter! We recently moved to a new neighborhood and needed to quickly find a new cat sitter. We are so pleased to have chosen him to care for our finicky cat Flo Flo while we were away on a family trip. He was reliable, punctual and very easy to communicate with. He went above and beyond to help with checking on some small house tasks as well. We are so pleased to have a new friend and reliable pet sitter right down the street in our new neighborhood! Thank you Benjamin!”

“We couldn’t have asked for a better cat sitter! Sherrie took amazing care of our two cats while we were away, providing regular updates and lots of love and attention. It gave us such peace of mind knowing they were in such good hands. We came home to happy, relaxed cats and Sherrie had even brought all of our holiday packages inside without us even requesting. Highly recommend Sherrie to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter!”

“Sam is an exceptional pet sitter!!! She went above and beyond taking care of my 3 cats. She spent ample time with them every single visit and sent pics every day. She even went out of her way to get supplies for them! I felt so comforted knowing my babies were in her care. I am so excited to have a regular, dependable and sweet pet sitter here in Asheville! Thanks Sam❤️”

“Marissa was wonderful with our two cats! She was very responsive, took great pictures, and really stepped up to help with extra visits and special instructions when one of our kitties wasn’t feeling well. Can’t recommend her enough!”

“Brittney was a godsend when we went out of town last minute. She was communicative from the jump and able to do a drop-in last minute to meet the cats and get to know our home. Her updates were extremely thorough and thoughtful, and she sent us lots of pictures. Not only is she competent, she clearly loves animals and spent time to gain the trust of our two cats, both with very different personalities. Would absolutely trust Brittney to watch our cats again.”

“Ariel is a consistent and reliable pet sitter who responds quickly to messages! I'm so very glad that she is taking care of Maggie for me while I'm away.....I know that Maggie is being well-cared for!”

“Erin is absolutely wonderful. She was so kind and patient with our cat and went above and beyond to communicate with us while we were away. We are so grateful to have found her and highly recommend her services!!”

“I couldn’t be happier with Natasha and how well she cared for our cats and sugar glider. She is very attentive, meticulous and our cats love her calming energy. So thankful to have found someone so kind and responsible that we can trust while we are away. Will definitely rebook with her again!”

“Savannah was excellent with our cats and respectful with our home. She was communicative, kind, responsible, and reliable. It’s hard to leave my babies with other people, but Savannah put me at ease quickly. It’s clear she understands cats very well and it was clear in the cats’ body language in photos that they really like her and were comfortable with her, which further makes me trust her! My cats are a great judge of character! 😆 Savannah is a keeper!”

“Sydney took care of our snake while we were out of town. She went above and beyond by watering plants and bringing in packages too. Excellent communication, we will absolutely reach out to book her again.”

“Liney has a great day with Kristen! We were traveling and staying a few nights in Asheville. We wanted to spend the day at Biltmore- dog free- and everything worked out perfectly! It is obvious Kristen is a dog lover and all around good person. ?”

“Alyssa and Bryan took such great care of our two girls and they have come back happy and tired both times we’ve sent them! They kept us updated with photos and letting us know what they had been up to. They asked a lot of thoughtful questions about Zoe and Riley and I’m very happy to have found them to take care of my crew. They have a great space and yard for the dogs to play and explore, which was a big draw for me. Will definitely book them again!”

They sent photos, including a great shot of Arlo with the Biltmore House in the background! A very special souvenir.”

About: I grew up with dogs as family pets and have always considered myself a “dog person.” My family had a sheepdog, a black lab, and a Scottish sheepdog, which helped shape my lifelong love for animals. About 30 years ago, I met my wife, a true cat person through and through, and over time I happily transitioned into becoming a devoted cat lover as well. Over the years, my wife and I have shared life with three cats, even taking them on leash walks around the neighborhood—yes, I am proudly that person now. Bella, my 18-year-old super senior cat, just lost her struggle with kidney disease and we miss her dearly. My wife and I spoil our animals all the time. Our cats have always been like children to us and the bonds we build with our animals over the years have been deeply meaningful. I believe animals teach unconditional love, friendship, and have a beautiful way of offering comfort exactly when it’s needed most. In addition to caring for my own pets, I have spent years looking after neighbors’ chickens, rabbits, dogs, cats, hamsters, and even a rat! After 13 years of teaching English at a nearby Early College, I recently retired from education and am excited to begin this new chapter with Rover. I have always had an entrepreneurial spirit. When I am not caring for animals, I run a professional mountain biking guide service in Asheville called Pisgah Mountain Bike Adventures. With more than 40 years of passion for mountain biking, being outdoors and in the mountains is where I feel most at home. I also run an Airbnb in our finished basement and I am currently writing a memoir. I am excited to be part of the Rover team and I look forward to caring for your dog, cat, or other beloved pet with the same level of attentiveness and heart that I have given to everything in my life. I am all in. I am excited to continue growing with Rover and embrace this new direction in my life with enthusiasm and hope, proving it’s never too late to follow a new calling! I am available 7 days a week for dog walks, overnight care, drop in visits, pet transport and housesitting. I am pet first aide and CPR certified and ready to help care for your fur babies anytime. I will board your dog or cat in my home or yours. I am an outdoor enthusiast, so will provide outdoor enrichment, long walks and various activities like playing fetch in the park or snuggles and extra 1 on 1 time for your pet. As a retired teacher, I bring professional level customer service, reliablity and professional pet care for you and your fur babies. I am very flexible with scheduling. Your pet or house is in good hands, leaving you free to go about your day and not worry about your home or fur babies. Thanks for trusting in menfor your pet and houshold needs.

About: I have been a veterinary nurse at an AAHA accredited hospital for the last 6 years, and prior to that, worked at an additional hospital as well as a pet store with exotics. I am more than comfortable administering any method of medication, and taking care of your medical needs, special needs, or senior fur babies. I own two friendly dogs, two sassy cats, and a baby ball python myself- variety is the spice of life. If you’re looking for a medically experienced caretaker for your kids, I’m your gal! *also have grooming experience with medical needs animals I just moved to the Asheville area, so Im excited to explore around. I have just taken a M-Th veterinary position, but I still plan on working Rover into my schedule! I have two friendly dogs, who will play with dogs that want to play, ignore the ones who don’t, and will be gentle with the young and little ones. I do not have a yard, but I am very active and used to taking my large dogs for >3-4 mile walks daily.

About: Hi, I am a compassionate and dependable recent retiree. My two senior dogs passed away in the past 6 months and I am without any fur-babies for the first time in decades. I am honored to spend quality time with your loved one so you can have a worry-free vacation and I can have some doggy/kitty time! I am newly retired and have plenty of free time. I do have community activities out but they do not dominate my day. I spend my time focused on creativity (working on art and music projects) at home. So your pup will have company pretty much all day whether you are boarding with me or I am housesitting for you. I am very active and have a daily exercise and yoga routine and my home is a healthy and veg-friendly household. I'll gladly walk your dog to the level he/she is used to (if it's hot I will walk early morning and/or evenings). My intention is to have your baby feel loved and safe with lots of attention and play and by sticking to the routine as you dictate. I am very tidy/neat and respectful of your home. I'm happy to water your plants etc. If boarding in my home, I am here most of the time. My husb and I Iive in a house with a big fenced in yard so there is plenty of room for your pup to do his or her business and run around and chase a toy. The neighborhood is very walkable and dog-friendly. I can also take your dog in the car to favorite walks (with your permission). If boarding in my home, I request that your dog is 100% house-trained and has good social skills/manners as well as being comfortable with having their own bed to sleep in.

“We were visiting Asheville and needed someone to feed and walk our dog while we were out for the evening. Joanna was the perfect choice! She made it so easy to set up a meet and greet prior and she took such good care of our dog while we were gone. The whole experience allowed us to enjoy ourselves and not worry. I would highly recommend booking with her!”

About: I’ve had dogs in my life for as long as I can remember and have years of experience caring for them through every stage of life. Today, my wife and I care for our Australian Cattle Dog, Dakota, whom we adopted when she was a year old. Training Dakota has given me valuable experience in understanding canine body language, behavior, and communication. I’ve learned how to recognize signs of stress, excitement, fear, and overstimulation, and how to respond in a calm, positive way to help dogs feel safe and comfortable. Whether we’re out on walks, visiting public places, or relaxing at home, I’m always attentive to a dog’s needs and surroundings. I’m comfortable following feeding schedules, administering basic care, maintaining routines, providing exercise and enrichment, and giving each dog the patience and attention they deserve. Every dog has a unique personality, and I enjoy getting to know what makes each one feel happy, secure, and loved. Above all, I believe every pet should be treated with the same care, respect, and affection that I’d want for my own! I’m currently a full-time online student and teach online part-time, so I will have plenty of time to play with your pup! I can build my own schedule, so I'm fully available. I believe pets are happiest when they can stay in the comfort of their own home and follow their normal routine. My goal is to provide dependable, personalized care that helps them feel safe, relaxed, and loved while you’re away. I’ll carefully follow your instructions for feeding, potty breaks, walks, medications (if needed), playtime, and any other routines that are important to your pet. I pay close attention to body language and behavior so I can make sure your dog is comfortable and enjoying our time together. Whether I’m stopping by for a visit, taking your dog on a walk, or staying in your home, I’ll treat your pet with patience, kindness, and the same level of care and attention I’d want for my own. I’ll also keep you updated with messages and photos, so you can have peace of mind knowing your furry family member is in good hands.
About: Ive owned dogs since a child..Basset Hound. Doberman, Pugs (I used to foster pugs in Dallas and adopted 4 at one point), Boston Terrier, Mixed breeds and love them all. Ive currently got a Beagle mix that I adopted 12 yrs ago "Jaz". Pet sitting has mostly been friends pets and since I'm new to the area, looking to get out of Corporate and thought this would be great time to spend with fur babies. I’m currently building an art-focused business and have a flexible schedule that works well for house sitting and pet care. I’m available for early morning walks and feedings, as well as afternoon check-ins, playtime and walks. I enjoy creating a steady routine that keeps your pet happy and comfortable throughout the day. I care for pets in their own home so they can stay relaxed in a familiar space. I keep dogs on leash anytime we are outside unless we are in a securely fenced yard or an approved off-leash area. I follow your rules around food and only give their regular meals and treats. My priority is keeping your pet safe, comfortable and happy.
About: I've grown up with several cats. My best friend and the love of my life is a tabby cat I've had since I was 12 years old. I didn't have a dog growing up but I frequently cared for my neighbors Great Pyrenees. My first dog as an adult was a rescue coonhound mix and my current dog is a purebred Redbone Coonhound. I live in an apartment with 2 cats and a dog. I work part time at Food Lion, but I'm wanting to be a full-time pet sitter. Humans are too complicated for me. Plus it gives me the opportunity to spend more time with my dog! I live in an apartment but I'm very active. I utilize all the trails and parks in the area and I bring along my buddy Kashmir, my Redbone Coonhound puppy who loves other dogs!

About: I have been taking care of other people's animals since middle school and just love getting to know your pets! Experience with dogs, cats, horses, chickens, goats, and fish! Willing to take on pets with medical needs! I work 40 hours over 5 days days a week. I am typically away from the house from 9 am - 5 pm or 11 am - 7 pm. Depending on your location, I may be able to pop back to the house on my short lunch break. I am comfortable walking your animals on leashes, pushing them in strollers, using a treadmill, playing with them in the yard, or whatever else is your routine and preference!
About: My goal is to create your pets best “play-cation”. While you enjoy the adventures of your life, I provide a safe and comfortable space for your pet to enjoy theirs too! Animals have been apart of my life from the start. I’ve lived with (big) dogs all my life. Both of my dogs have dealt with health issues so from a very young age I was learning how to take special care of my dogs, giving them medication and special treatment. By the age of 10, I was so excited to volunteer pet sitting for family, friends and neighbors. I have experience with dogs of all sizes, breeds, and personalities by working at a dog boarding/ day care. I would supervise groups of 10 dogs at a time, maintaining a safe and playful environment. My love for our 4-legged friends is forever growing. I have a passion for sharing my love with every pet that I meet. I try to give my pup the best life that I can and I hope to do the same for many others! I’m currently working a part time job so I have plenty of time to spend with your pets. My schedule is flexible for both day time and overnight. I value incorporating exercise and adventure into my daily life and I would love to bring your pet along with me! Safety in the comfort of your home: I provide dog walks in your neighborhood and longer trail walks if desired. I always keep dogs leashed for safety while encouraging as much play at possible. Safety in the warmth of my home: I have a very sweet and cozy space. I do not have a fenced in yard but I do have a long leash for potty breaks and I live in a great neighborhood where I walk dogs regularly. I love taking pups on field trips to hikes near by and of course always enjoy cozy cuddle time. I am comfortable following any feeding or medication needs as directed. I am happy to do a meet and greet before sitting to make sure that we’re the best fit for each other.
“Very pleased with Thomas, this was my first time using Rover and I found the perfect person to handle my dog! “So happy to have found Sarah and her sweet family. Lincoln stays with ease and seems right at home in their environment. The backyard for Lincoln is an extra plus.”

“Pisco had a wonderful time with Alexis. Long walks, regular attention, and a nice place to relax. We appreciated her regular stream of photos. Highly recommend Alexis. We'll use her again.”

“I cannot say enough positive things about Jennie and Craig! They are such kind people and they showed our sweet girl Lucy SO MUCH love while we were away on vacation. We will most definitely be bringing Lucy back and highly recommend them to anyone else!”

“Allison was great with Kevin and made us feel at ease on our vacation. She sent daily updates with pictures and details about their day, and made him feel right at home. I’d highly recommend her and will use her in the future!”

“This was our first time leaving our pup “away from home “ and we were a bit concerned how things would go. We couldn’t have been more pleased with the care and attention Katie and Jeremy provided. Katie gave us multiple updates each day and sent several photos and videos highlighting just how much fun our girl was having. We will definitely have them watch our girl in the future.”

“I am officially a repeat customer! Caroline is easy to work with and flexible when things need to change. I feel very comfortable leaving my doggie with her and her family.”

“Very quick response/acceptance of booking. Felt comfortable leaving Shiloh while we went on a family cruise! Enjoyed the updates sent every day, would confidently book him with her again!”
