“Chasity was the BEST! Not only did she take great care of our best girl, she sent me frequent updates and pictures. This eliminated SO MUCH of my stress. We were already traveling with a baby(which can be a little nuts), and not having to stress about our pup took a huge chunk off my plate. I can’t thank Chasity enough for giving me some peace of mind. I absolutely hope to have our Bonnie girl back to see Chasity and her family for our next trip.”

“Sarah is amazing!!! I contacted her a few days before Christmas for an immediate spot and she responded immediately. I took Coby over and she spent time with us to make sure Coby would be a good fit with her pets. She sent pictures and updates regularly. Coby was very well cared for and would have been happy to stay a few more days! Thank you Sarah!!!”

“Marcia is such an amazing dog sitter! She gives constant and continual updates during our sweet boy's stay with her. Both photos and videos! When youre away for a while, even in vacation, you think of your pets but whenever my mind would drift back home to Apollo I'd see Marcia sent me new photos of him playing with other dogs or lounging about with her. It was such a comfort. She truly loves what she does and she will be out go-to dog sitter from here on out!”

“Amazing! Everytime we asked for pictures or reached out she was responsive! She treated my dogs with so much love and great care! We will forever e grateful for her and use her in the future!”

“My Pup was having the time of his life boarding over night. Aanchal was very good at communicating with me through my Pups stay and sent me videos and pictures. I would highly recommend using her for care and boarding.”

“Amanda kept my 2 year old dog. This is the first time we were ever separated and she did great! Amanda had other dogs for her to play with and I think that helped. Amanda knows what she’s doing! We will be calling her again when needed.”

About: I am a USMC vet and I’ve been around pets basically all my life and found a passion for it. I have over 4 years with working with pets in a professional field. “It’s a comfort for me when my dog, Zeke, is in Sandy’s care. When I’m away I can focus on what I need to do and I don’t worry about Zeke at all. I’m very grateful for Sandy’s loving care of my little dog. She’s a very wonderful and kind person.”

About: Hello! I’m Brooke! I absolutely love dogs (& all animals really)! I have my own dog, Puck, who I love to take to the lake, on walks and cuddle with. I have been dog sitting for 10 years and I love it. I currently do travel healthcare and I’m looking for a job on the side with my boyfriend’s help too. I can do walks, home visits, overnight sitting in your home and anything else you’d need for your furry friend. I can work with you and your schedule to try to find the perfect time to help out you and your pet. I look forward to hearing from you soon! Don’t hesitate to ask any questions to see if I’m a good fit! I work full time during the week but am free most weekends. My boyfriend also helps out and is an early bird who can do drop ins before 7am and after 5 pm. I have a patio that the dogs can sun bath on and a huge h fenced yard to let the pups run around to get some energy out.
“The day before my trip, my plans fell through for my fur baby to be watched. I was freaking out and panicking when I came across KenLynn on here. She made all my stress go away! She sent photos every day with updates. Her two dogs also kept Scotch company. My flight back home was late at night and she offered to keep my dog an extra night to help me out. Amazing woman and would for sure use her again!”
“Christen is an amazing person, right away my boys left comfortable with here and me too. She send me updates and pictures of my babies of how they were doing. I travel a lot, so if a ever go back to kingsland and need someone to take care of my pets, I will definitely choose her again.”

“If I could give Danielle and her husband 10 stars I would. Our dog hurt his leg two days before we were to leave on a eight day cruise and she took great care of him, giving him his medicine and making sure he didn’t jump, go down/up stairs or play too hard which anyone knows is hard in itself with a dog. She offered to take him to the vet if he got worse and kept us updated every day. They are amazing honestly and we definitely will be using her going forward. If you are looking for a groomer she has her own grooming business as well called Hugz-N-Kisses Pet Spa definitely check her out!!!”

About: I have multi-dog household experience. There has always been at least two dogs in my house growing up, they’re my favorite animals. I have a chocolate Labrador named Whiskey, and a Schnoodle named Max. My chihuahua sadly passed away. I love to meet and have other dogs in my house. I’m comfortable administering oral medication if needed. I’ll send daily photo updates. I’m a stay at home mom so there’s always time to care and play with our furry kids. I wake up between 6-8am and go to bed by 10pm. When I need to leave the house to run errands, I don’t take longer than 3 hours at a time, so I make sure my pets are taken outside for potty and water breaks. There is a fenced area in the back of our house, and a big open area. I can take them out on a leash if needed or crate them if they’re not house trained.

“Caitlin made me feel so safe leaving my Boston terrier for the day. She sent lots of pictures, took her on walks, and let her lay outside to get her daily sun bathing in:) couldn’t recommend someone better!”

“Leigh was the best pup sitter! She was reliable, punctual, caring, flexible and always communicated. I was nervous being away from them, and she always made me feel better when she had her visit with my babies. She even let me know that she thought something was a little off with my Chihuahua. This way I knew to pay a little extra attention to make sure he was OK when I got home.”

About: I've always had a dog in the family to care for and now I get the pleasure of caring for my "granddogs"! I feel comfortable administering medicines and accommodating special needs your best friend may have! I just recently retired and am looking to fill the hours I would normally be working with jobs from Rover. I am typically available Monday through Thursday but do occasionally shift my schedule to accommodate travelling with my better half! I typically offer services away from my home being that I do not have a fenced in area for play time. I feel more comfortable coming to your fur baby's home to check in on them.
“We are on vacation in an unfamiliar house with an aging, mobility challenged dog so had lots of complicated instructions for Abbey and she did a fabulous job. She even made a practical suggestion for the second visit of the day which made life easier for us and our dog happy. We will certainly specifically look for her again when we visit Emerald Isle.”

“Second time having Robyn check on my cat. Always does a great job and leaves plenty of pictures. Happy to know my cat has a friendly person to care for her while I’m away”

“My kiddos wanted to go to the waterpark before returning home from our beach vacation but my fur baby wouldn’t be allowed…. Lucky, I was able to find Jessica last minute thru Rover and everything worked out perfectly! I’d never used Rover before and was a bit nervous to entrust a stranger with my lil girl but I ended up being worried for nothing! Lola loved her play date with Jessica’s fur baby, Peanut, and having some time out of the hot sun! Thanks Jessica, you are amazing! I’ll definitely hit you up next time we visit Emerald Isle!”

About: Dogs, cats, birds, and fish . . . These are some of the best friends I’ve had over the last 45 years. All of my pets have lived long, healthy lives based on excellent feeding, grooming, and regular medical care. I genuinely love animals and have a very watchful eye on their well-being. I am a retired school administrator with a 36-year history of creating productive learning environments and protecting the lives of thousands of school children. Care-taking is my thing. Now, I have a very flexible schedule/calendar, and I am wide open to opportunities to meet and care for animals of all shapes, sizes, and colors. About: 20 years working in the veterinary industry including 10 years at NCSU Vet school and developed years of experience performing physical assesments and basic/advanced interventions for emergencies in a clinical setting. I work full time from home now (veterinary diagnostics) with a bluetick coonhound and a cat as my assistants. Both animals are very friendly towards people and other animals. Buck would love to have a playmate throughout the day. I already entertain my hound during the day while I work remote. We have a fenced in back yard and I take him on frequent walks. His routine is to play in the yard and then sleep in the bed in the office, then repeat throughout the day. I don't let my dog out of the fence off leash or give him anything that can potentially become a foriegn body and/or is toxic to dogs. Buck rips toys apart but does not eat them.

About: I’ve been taking care of animals, my own and those of friends and neighbors, since I was 10. I’m familiar with animals of all shapes and sizes - dogs, cats, reptiles, birds, rodents, horses, etc. I’m also knowledgeable and comfortable with pregnant animals, mamas with babies, timid animals, administering medications, and doggy diapers. I volunteer as a foster with a local rescue where I've come to learn a variety of helpful techniques for successful meet and greets and positive decompression strategies, among other skills. I’m currently working towards a bachelor’s degree in wildlife conservation online, so I’m home the majority of the day, with a very flexible schedule. I’m a very active person who loves interacting with animals, whether on an outdoorsy walk or tossing the ball. I have chicken wire fencing in my yard so as long as your dog isn’t an escape artist I’ve got a secure space to roam. I have two Boston Terriers who are extremely dog and cat friendly, as they are used to the fosters I take in. They are also friendly with our bearded dragon and the rats we used to own.
About: I've owned and sat for a variety of animals from lizards and snakes to dogs, cats, and rats. I love them all! My family also breeds German Shepherds so I am experienced in all lifestages, from pregnancy to old age. I am comfortable with providing medicine in pill, shot, and liquid forms. “Marcia is a wonderful dog sitter! She's my go to when I'm looking for someone to watch my dog! Extremely accommodating and communicative! Cannot recommend Marcia enough.”

About: Hello, my name is Tianna and I’m 28. I’ve been a huge animal lover since I was a child where I’ve brought different animals home to take care of such as kitties, turtles, and even a peacock! I’ve fostered and owned a variety of dogs from lap dogs to larger breeds. I have 4 dogs of my own and another 5 that reside back in Texas with my family. 2 are seniors so senior dogs have a special place in my heart! I currently work at a fitness studio where I’m gone for 2-3 hours max a day but can schedule around to accommodate to you and your pets needs! I have a smoke free home where your pets can lounge on the sofa and bed :) I have a small fenced yard and 4 small dogs who are crate trained so they can be put away to keep your dog comfortable and safe if needed. **My pets are currently back in Texas**
“Anya and Jason gave us great peace of mind taking care of our small, elderly dog for the day. We live in GA and were visiting family in NC. We all wanted to go to the Cape Lookout but I felt uncomfortable leaving my small, elderly dog in a small travel trailer two and a half hours away from the coast and worrying if the power and A/C would stay on (in the middle of July). Anya was perfect for my situation-no large dogs to unintentionally intimidate my chihuahua and also she doesn’t do well with very young children. Koko was with Anya and her family for 10 hours and I was able to enjoy my time with my family knowing Koko was in good hands -that she would be taken out for potty breaks, have her treats and supper, and be well cared for. Anya and Jason even gave us suggestions of places to eat locally. Koko was not stressed when we picked her up and in turn, I was not stressed either. Thank you Anya!”

I have two friendly dogs who love making new furry friends, so your pup will have playmates and never feel alone. From fun fetch sessions to cozy cuddle breaks, I make sure your dog feels safe, loved, and right at home. I learn their routines, quirks, and favorite treats, and I always keep you in the loop with updates and photos because peace of mind matters just as much as playtime! Pet care fits perfectly into my schedule because it’s already part of our daily life! With two dogs of our own and a stay at home wife who loves animals just as much as I do, there’s always someone home to give your pet attention, playtime, and plenty of love. We keep a consistent routine, and caring for animals is something we truly enjoy not just a job. Whether it’s walks, snuggles, or just keeping them company, your pet becomes part of our pack and is never left out or alone. When your dog’s in my home, they’re part of the family. With my two friendly pups around, there’s always someone to play with and lots of love to go around. I make sure to stick to their usual routine as much as possible feeding, walks, and chill time so they feel comfortable and happy. It’s all about making them feel safe and cared for, just like they’re home, so you can relax knowing they’re in good hands.

About: Hi! I'm Lindsay, a lifelong dog lover and owner, and caring for animals has always been a part of my life. I've been pet sitting since college, both in my own home and in clients' homes. I understand that every pet has unique needs and routines, and I work hard to make sure they feel comfortable, loved, and cared for while you're away. From energetic puppies to laid-back senior dogs, I enjoy building trust with pets and providing the same level of care I would want for my own animals. My goal is to provide reliable, loving care so you can have peace of mind knowing your furry family member is in good hands. 🐾❤️ I'm currently on summer break from teaching, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of availability for pet care. I can provide consistent attention, exercise, playtime, and companionship to help keep your pet happy and comfortable while you're away. I want every pet to feel comfortable and cared for while their family is away. I will follow your pet's regular routine as closely as possible, including feeding, walks, potty breaks, medications, and playtime. I provide plenty of attention, affection, and supervision to help pets feel safe, relaxed, and happy.
“Megan responded immediately to our short notice request to check in on/walk our lab a couple of times while we were on an overnight trip for a volleyball tournament. She offered grace when I wasn’t able to prepare things for her as well as I wish I could have. She offered updates both times she checked-in and when we got home all was well!”
About: I love animals, especially dogs, more than words can express! We have always had small dogs in our family since I was born. I could never imagine living without a dog in my household. In fact I have always had my miniature schnauzers as my fur babies since my early 20’s. I also use my endless dog walks as another form of exercise especially with the awesome beach roads all over the island that we are fortunate to enjoy living on the island. Since I never had children I have extremely spoiled animals. Me and my husband are retired and I work a very part time job so have a lot of flexibility with my schedule. My husband may also like to join in with my walks as well to help keep your pooch entertained and continue with our daily exercise regimen. If your pet does not do well on long walks please mention that so we don’t wear them out too much! I would like to walk your dog on the beach or beach access if allowed. If you would rather we stay on the neighborhood streets that’s fine too! My house/pet sitting service will include feeding, playing, walking, cleaning up pet waste in yard or litter box and light housekeeping such as vacuuming up pet fur if applicable. I have a very flexible schedule. I do work a few days a week part time but only 4-5 hr shifts at a time. I would love to be your pet’s next best friend! I am an extremely anal retentive pet owner and home owner. I probably take better care of my pets than my own self! We do not miss any yearly vet appointments and are very attentive to any ailments that may come along. I always say the worst part of being a pet owner is when they have to cross the rainbow bridge.
“Murphy is a high energy, sometimes overwhelming rescue. Callie worked with him over several visits to increase his flexibility to his surroundings and teach him behavior that will help him see more of the world. Even though exercise was more the mission than behavior training, Callie was able to convey calm discipline that allowed him to tap into other training he's had. It was a great job on Callie's part connecting and teaching him. Thank you from me and Murphy!!”

About: I have always grown up with animals and my love for them led me to a job at a pet resort. I was a kennel technician for 4 years which provided me great insight to care for all types of furry friends. I just graduated college from UNC Charlotte and home in Emerald Isle for the summer. Most days I workout and hang with my family so my schedule is pretty flexible. I always try to keep each pet’s routine as close as possible to what they’re used to because I know how stressful change can feel—especially for anxious pets. I’m patient, gentle, and attentive, and I make it my priority to provide comfort, consistency, and lots of love while they’re away from their parents.
“Vacationing. Wanted to do a 50 mile bike event. Jessica came to our house twice. I came home to a tired dog. No walk needed and I was tired. A tired dog is a good dog. Thank you Jessica.”

I love to be outdoors, so I always make sure I bring my animals outside and do new things because it’s their first time living too.
“Emma was very prompt and friendly. She met up with me and my pup before the initial walk. Emma sent updates and pictures and put my mind at ease while at work. Will be using her again!”

About: I’ve been an animal lover for as long as I can remember ! Growing up, I spent much of my time volunteering at a local animal shelter alongside my grandmother, where I helped feed the cats, clean their spaces, and make sure they felt safe and cared for. I was also actively involved in her animal rescue work, regularly attending adoption events , walking and caring for adoptable dogs and cats , and helping animals find their forever homes. Those experiences taught me how to understand animal behavior, build trust with shy or nervous pets, and provide calm, patient care. Today, I’m a proud cat mom to two rescue cats of my own, so I understand firsthand how important it is to find someone you trust with your pets. I’m experienced with animals of all personalities , from playful and social to timid or independent, and I always take the time to make sure each pet feels comfortable, safe, and loved. Whether your pet needs playtime, companionship, or just a gentle, reassuring presence while you're away, I’ll care for them as if they were my own. I have a very flexible schedule. Any time you need , I can likely make it work ! Important info for house sitting bookings : I can provide care for most of the day & night. When booking this service , please send me a message and answer the following questions : - Are there any specific care instructions I should be aware of ? - Can your pet be left alone ? If so , for how long at a time ? I will be happy to petsit your animals in your home. Whether that means drop ins, house sitting, or dog walking, you can trust that your animals and your home will be in good hands with me. You can rest assured that when you book with me , your animals will get my full attention and care, and you as their owner will receive clear communication and updates from me every step of the way. I own two cats of my own that I love very much, so I understand just how important it is to make sure they are in good hands , safe , and well taken care of while you are away.

I currently have open availability during the week and weekend. I’m available any time during the day and any last minute requests for all pets. I have a fenced In large yard so pets are able to roam free and have plenty of play time throughout the day and stay.
About: Hello! I’m Brooke! I absolutely love dogs (& all animals really)! I have my own dog, Puck, who I love to take to the lake, on walks and cuddle with.

“Home away from home! Thanks to Kylene for providing such loving and comfortable care for our guy while we were out of town. Not only did we stay in close contact, but Kylene accommodated our drop off and pick up needs. Our guy needs meds and gentle handling and Kylene ensured he was well cared for. No doubt we will rely on Kylene’s services in the future! Love her!”
