“Susan was fabulous with my Koda. She provided daily updates and pictures and Koda came home happy and tuckered out from all the fun. I would highly recommend Susan for your fur baby.”

“So happy to have found this family to care for our corgi! He’s usually pretty shy, but he felt very comfortable with Auggie from the beginning. Our pup came back happy, tired, and we could tell he had so much fun! Would highly recommended. Everyone is kind, respectful, and truly show their love for our four pawed companions!”

“Rosie was very happy at Kyle’s. We saw some sweet photos of her during her stay. We appreciated your flexibility in picking her up too. Thanks much. We will definitely request to rebook with Kyle.”

“Colleen and Joe were great with Tillie! Colleen was so friendly, welcoming, and genuine, I immediately knew Tillie would be in good hands as soon as we met. Very quick communication and sent daily updates with pictures during my trip. Would absolutely book again and recommend to others!”

“Amy did a lovely job taking care of my dog for 4 nights while I was out of town! This was my first experience using Rover and it was a great introduction. Amy was professional and easy to contact, and sent photos and updates daily. She has a great and professional setup and I knew my pup had lots of opportunities to socialize with the other dogs, sprint around, rest, lay in the sun, cuddle, and eat some treats. Amy was also very easily able to accommodate for my dog’s allergy to chicken and gave him some oral medication from our vet. Amy was a gem and we will definitely be back the next time I need a sitter :)”

“Maria was AMAZING with my little Potato! For the first time, all our family and friends did not work out, so I found Rover and I was off to the races. I was so worried about leaving him with a veritable stranger for a week, but it worked out perfectly. Maria was good to meet at her place briefly before I booked just to make sure all was well, which of course it was. She sent so many pics and vids! It’s clear he spent plenty of time with the family, not sitting in a small space all day like he would have been if boarded elsewhere. She even took him on a walk one day when it was a little less deathly freezing out. Thank you so much Maria!”

“Liam was great with the doggies, he had great communication and sent us updates daily. We're very grateful and will be surely keep looking for him in future trips”

“Lizzy was absolutely amazing with my pup Scott! Throughout my trip, she was super attentive, always kept me updated with photos and messages, which gave me so much peace of mind. She responded quickly and showed so much love and care for him. I’m really happy with her service and would definitely recommend Lizzy again and again! 🐾”

“I had a wonderful experience with Dave & Shawna. They were very enthusiastic and communicated excellently throughout the stay. I received daily updates with pictures. My corgi (Winston) had such a great time, he did not want to come home. 10/10 would recommend and book again.”

“Andrew is so thoughtful, prepared, and caring! Our puppy always comes home so happy and fulfilled from his time staying with Andrew, who has also been very patient with our growing puppy who is still learning a lot. We also always appreciate the consistent check-ins and updates while we’re gone. Thank you Andrew!!”

“I don’t think Birdie wanted to come home! It seems like she had a great time at Lan’s house and Lan followed all care instructions to the letter. It was my first time using Rover and Lan made me feel like my gal was in great hands. Thank you!”

“An amazing second stay with Elsa and Nick! Enzo was living his best life (again) and truly didn’t want to leave when my husband picked him up. Thank you, team! Also - a quick note that Enzo’s behavior with strangers actually improved after his first stay with Elsa and Nick in April. He was much less anxious with new people at our house; an amazing byproduct of their wonderful care!”

“Madigan had a great first visit with Sarah and her crew! Will definitely consider working with her again given the great communication and updates before and during the stay.”

“Jailene was fantastic with my dog Riley. She sent regular update, photos, and videos. He stayed over the 4th of July holiday, and Jailene had great questions beforehand to make sure he was comfortable.”

“Dave is the best! Our Sam just loved him. He was extremely well cared for and honestly the peace of mind knowing your pup is in good hands just can’t be beat. It’s hard to leave your dog when you need to be out of town and I can assure anyone reading this review that your dog will be very well loved if Dave is taking care of them.”

“Mack had a fantastic long weekend at Kara and Adam's house! Reservations and meet-up were a breeze and Kara's communication was timely and did a lot to calm our nerves around being away from Mack for the first time; pictures were an awesome bonus. Will definitely book again.”

“Betsy was a great sitter for our slightly anxious little girl. She was very responsive and provided plenty of comfort during the stay. I highly recommend booking with Betsy!”

“Crystal did a great job taking care of our cat! She went above and beyond to try to make our very shy kitty comfortable with her. Crystal also helped take in packages and mail while we were out and kept the cat food area tidy (no small feat with our messy eater) which was much appreciated. We'd love to book Crystal again the next time we take a trip!”

About: I grew up with two cats so they have a special place in my heart. I love to snuggle up and play with kitties. I have taken care of my neighbors cats for 5 years. I know how to add medication into wet food and add food to timed feeding bowls.

“Abi was great with my senior kitty, creative in getting her to take her pill, prompt, paid attention to detail & sent lots of cute photos! Very easy to work with, would 100% use again!”

“Teresa was wonderful with my cat. Spent time with her and played with her, and helped out with specific things to my cat that were very helpful. I couldn’t recommend Teresa more!”

About: Emmy has helped take care of cats for a few different households. She believes in spending a little extra time with them so they feel loved and like they've received attention. She will be supervised by a parent at all times to make sure we provide everything that is needed foI am the primary caregiver and will personally handle all aspects of your cat's care, including feeding, litter box maintenance, medication administration (if needed), and ensuring they receive plenty of attention and affection. My 10-year-old daughter loves cats and may accompany me during some visits. She enjoys spending extra time playing with and socializing cats, always under my direct supervision. Our goal is to make sure your cat feels safe, comfortable, loved, and well cared for while you're away.

“Pamela did a great job with my two cats! I got detailed updates every day which was really appreciated, and I had a worry free weekend knowing they were in good hands.”

About: Hi! I’m a kindergarten teacher with a flexible summer schedule, which gives me plenty of time to provide walks, drop-in visits, and quality care for your furry family members. I’ve always had a love for dogs and enjoy spending time outside on walks, playing fetch or tug-of-war, and, of course, giving plenty of cuddles and belly rubs. Every pet deserves attention, exercise, and lots of love while their family is away. At home, I have a puppy named B who keeps me on my toes! She loves meeting new people, playing tug-of-war, and—unfortunately—digging in the dirt whenever she gets the chance. Raising an energetic puppy has given me even more hands-on experience with training, patience, routines, and understanding each dog’s unique personality and needs. I know that your pet is more than just a pet—they’re a beloved member of your family. I treat every dog in my care with the same love, patience, and attention that I give my own. Safety is always my top priority, and I’m committed to making sure your pet feels comfortable, secure, and genuinely cared for while you’re away. Whether you need a drop-in visit, a walk, or dog sitting, I’d love to help make life a little easier for your family while giving your best friend the care they deserve. I can’t wait to meet you and your pup, and I look forward to walking your best friend soon! Currently on a teacher summer schedule, my schedule is flexible this summer! Just reach out and see what we can work out for the other of us. Pets are family, they should be treated like family. “Hopps has enjoyed his days with Kara and the family. He looks forward to playing in the yard with Oscar, walks with the kiddos and having someone to follow around all day. Kara is so great at documenting the day with pictures and reporting on his activities. I know he’s in good hands 😊”

“Lizzy & her husband took GiGi for a fun hour long walk in the snow. They gave her a lot of attention and cuddles. They will be great caregivers for your pet.”

About: Our family said goodbye to our 16 year old Jack Russell Terrier, Lou, and we are ready to open our home to our neighbor's pups for love and attention while you're away! Britt grew up with lots of dogs (and cats), and the whole family has experience caring for animals at all ages. Both Britt and Mike work from home full time, and are able to care for pets throughout the day and night. Our three children are in school and preschool in the neighborhood during the week, giving us several opportunities to go on daily walks. We have a large, fenced in backyard for dogs and our children to share. We do not require dogs to be crated at night or when we are away for short amounts of time. We do have a medium crate if their normal routine includes crating during short times alone at home. Our children are used to being around animals and know how to be gentle and respectful of space.
“This was our first time using Roover, and Rachel made the experience smooth and stress free. Our dog had a great day with her, and Rachel sent lots of updates and pictures!”

“Lincoln had such a great time with Nathan and his family. He came home very tired and slept the rest of the evening. He went for a walk and played with the kids. As a young dog it was great exposure for him. I would definitely take him back next time I need a sitter. Thanks Nathan.”

“Pamela was great! She welcomed a meeting before dog sitting, and asked care questions. Arlington played well with my dog, and they have a great fenced in backyard for running around!”

“Lindsey and her family were so great! They took care of my 5 month old puppy for the day and treated her so well. Gave her lots of play time and walks and sent many updates with pictures. 10/10 would recommend them to take care of your pup!”

“Very flexible, great communication, and friendly! My pup had a great time and I felt confident that he was in good hands. Would definitely book again!”

“Thank you, Noelle, for being so caring with GiGi! I’m glad that she could enjoy your huge fenced yard and was able to chill at your house. Thanks for the pictures. It is true that she felt so comfortable with you so leaned up against your leg and loved to be petted. :) I WILL CALL AGAIN FOR GIGI’s DOGGY DAY CARE IN THE FUTURE!”

About: I keep my home boarding low-key and personalized by welcoming only one dog, or two from the same family, at a time. So your pup will enjoy plenty of one-on-one love, play, and attention in a calm, peaceful environment where they can truly relax and feel at home. I work from home most days in a dog-friendly condo in Columbia Heights, with 1–2 days a week in the office. On home days I'm available all day for frequent potty breaks, companionship, and check-ins. On office days, your pup will still get a solid morning and evening routine, and plenty of company once I'm back. There's no private yard, but there's a nice shared yard with plenty of green just downstairs for outdoor time, and we can easily do neighborhood walks. As a former puggle owner, I took care of my little Snuggles all the way through her senior years until she was 13+, so I have experience caring for dogs at every life stage, including daily care and routine, bathing, training, administering medicine when needed, and handling their specific needs as they get older. I recently had to put my own puggle down, and while I still miss her, I've been enjoying puppy kisses from the dogs I watch, and I love sharing that same attentive care with other pups who need a cozy and reliable place to stay. My setup includes comfortable dog beds, a kennel for secure rest if needed, doggy bowls for fresh water and meals, and soft blankets for cozy napping. If your dog needs someone who’s home a lot and would do walks on a nice day, let’s do a meet & greet! One or two days a week, I have to be at the office; I'll coordinate ahead of time, give updates, and make sure your dog is settled before I go. On Saturdays, I'm less flexible for check-in and check-out, since I'm away in the morning for volunteer work. I usually let dogs roam free in the condo. They can follow me everywhere if they want, which most enjoy for that constant company. I can crate your dog if needed (for naps, meals, or if they’re more comfortable that way).
“Always takes excellent care of Loki. Dave really does it because he loves it, and that is really obvious in the way he treats Loki, and the way Loki reacts when he arrives at Dave's house (tail wagging and bursting with excitement).”

“Abby was great with my pup, Belle! She made sure Belle got 2 long walks during the day and sent lots of pictures. She communicated quickly to all my questions and texts. Looking forward to booking her again! Thanks Abby!!”

“We loved having Lindsey watch our dog, Maaya. She was very easy to communicate and coordinate with. She also shared lots of details and photos at the end of each day. Would highly recommend and have her watch Maaya again.”

“Fernanda took great care of our dog. He was a little anxious because he had been traveling for several weeks and in lots of new places. She noticed his anxiety, and took him out in her yard to play. Perfect. He even ate a meal with her without needing special feeding (which he’d been struggling to do in new surroundings). Fernanda was easy to work with and a great communicator. I’d definitely use Fernanda again next time we’re in town.”

“Trot was very happy after his stay with Abrina, and happy to see her again a few days later when he went back for another day of doggy day care. He seemed well cared for!”

“Teresa was wonderful with communication and sent me many photos and videos during Luchi's stay. Luchi played with her dog Atlas and had a fantastic day! He was tuckered out when I picked him up at night. I will definitely book with Teresa again!”

About: Hi, I’m Lydia — dog mom, belly rub expert, and professional sniff-spot scout. I’ve spent 15 years learning what dogs actually want (hint: it’s all of the above), and a lifetime growing up with dogs and cats of every personality. Energetic or chill, young or old, I’ve got them covered. My daily and weekly routine revolves around pet care. My dog is my first thought when I wake up and the last thing I worry about before bed. I have an abundance of parks near my home that I can take your fur baby to for both exercise and play. I love a good adventure.
About: I have 23 years of pet ownership experience (cats, reptiles, and a simple fish tank). I also have a bit of volunteer experience training service dogs and have taken care of friends' pets while they're away. I work my other job from home and determine my own hours, so my schedule is generally very flexible. I have a weekday evening commitment a couple times a week, but I can easily work around that two hour block of time. I love animals and will do everything I can to take care of yours as if they're my own. Let's discuss medical needs before booking, and I will make sure I have your vet's information in case of emergencies. I require a meet & greet for first time bookings. This is a complimentary visit to meet your animals, learn the routines, and ask each other any questions we need to make sure they get the best care.
About: We LOVE dogs and have a city sized house full of people that love giving them attention! We have 2 school age children but are home full time in the summer with a good sized fenced backyard and our own friendly pups, Oli and Lulu. We go back to our full-time jobs as educators on August 25, so our calendar reflects our school year availability (mostly weekends and some school breaks!) I (Kara) grew up always having a dog in the family, and as soon as I could, I acquired one of my own. I've learned that dogs need people, but people need dogs just as much. All this to say, we can't imagine a world without these furry little companions! With many attentive people in our household, your dog will never have needs unmet. Whether it be snuggles, toys, pets, walks, playtimes, food... be assured we can handle it! We can't wait to meet your dog! We both work in education, so our summers are very open & flexible and offer so many opportunities for dog walks, dog parks, pet cuddles, etc. Once the school year starts, our calendar reflects our weekend and school break availability! We have a fenced back yard and get on many outings with our own high energy dog. We do on long walks daily and often to the off leash dog park (if your dog is licensed in Minneapolis). We have a friendly cat that mostly keeps to herself around dogs, but she does not allow other cats in the home (so we are unable to board cats.)
About: Hello fellow pet lovers! My sweet girl Sophie passed away this year after 14 loving years together. While I’m not quite ready for a new pup of my own a certainly miss caring for dogs. Maybe I can help you out there! I am a pet parent to all critters under the sun! I have extensive experience with dogs from young pup to seniors with medical needs including all sorts of breeds, large and small. I’m very active and happy to take your high energy pup for long walks (or even runs!) or just cuddle up with your couch potato. I also have extensive personal experience with cats. I have two kittens and have cat sat for friends and neighbors since I was in middle school. No matter how velcro-y or aloof your babies are Id love to keep them happy and healthy. Beyond dogs and cats I have owned (or cared for extensively) birds (cockatiels), reptiles and amphibians (bearded dragons & painted turtles), pocket pets (hamsters, guinea pigs & rabbits), freshwater fish, and horses! My wide expanse of knowledge means even if I haven’t cared for your exact critter yet I’m confident I’ll be able to pick up any new information easily and will make sure they are well cared for. No critter will scare me away! PLEASE NOTE: At this time I am not looking for any new regularly repeating weekly drop ins/walks, so if you’re looking for a new daily walker I’m probably not your best choice, however if you need the odd occasional visit, a sitter while you’re out of town, a sub for the week, or something similar I’d be happy to help! I work from home which grants me a lot of flexibility during the morning and day for walks or drop ins. My evenings can get a bit busy but with enough notice I can absolutely work in further care as well. I’ll be sure to adhere strictly to any instructions you give me. I also will be sure to send updates and pet pics every time I visit and you’re welcome to text me at any point for an update. I’m an extremely clean and tidy person and will leave your home better than I found it.
About: Hi friends! My name is Robin, I’m 29, and I’m an artist living in northeast Minneapolis currently working in the service industry. While I don’t have any pets of my own, I am my community’s right-hand-gal when it comes to pet care. I also spend my free time often reading and consuming content about dog training and working with reactive pups. It is important to me that my presence is known by the animals in my life to be calm and joyful and consistent. I’ve got lots of attention to give and lots of patience - looking to overflow back into the families around me through helping care and tend to their pets. I am most familiar with having small dogs be a part of my family but have built my pet experience recipe to the brim with dogs of all sizes and ages as well as playful & shy cats and kittens. Don’t let the “gap in my resume” fool you - I’ve been servicing families in my area consistently (they just text me the old fashioned way ;)). I am currently in-between jobs so I have more open availability than normal. I currently have a standing commitment Wed-Friday 1pm-3pm, but that is my only limitation at this time. I am located in NE Minneapolis. I like to simulate what a normal day might look like for them while adapting to their particular needs surrounding getting to know a new friend (me!). I pride myself in being able to match the energy of animals and display to them that my job is to make sure they’re safe and I do not need to be in their physical space when they don’t want it. I love cuddling up with a lil silly sleepy pal but I won’t even be putting my hands on them regularly until/unless it is absolutely clear that they’re ready and wanting attention from me like that.
About: Hi! I'm an animal lover who provides attentive, reliable pet care. As the adult account holder and caregiver, I will be responsible for all aspects of your pet's care, including walks, feeding, medication administration (if needed), and supervision. I also have a 10-year-old daughter who loves animals and may occasionally accompany me during walks or visits. Because of this, I ask that pets be comfortable around respectful, animal-savvy children. My daughter's presence is always supervised by me, and your pet's safety and well-being remain my top priority. I look forward to getting to know you and your furry family member! I work long days Mondays through Wednesdays but have more flexibility outside of that. Can accommodate before and after work visits. I love long walks! I cannot care for pets in our home but can come to you! Your pet MUST be kid friendly in case my 10 year old comes with!
About: My husband and our family have been watching dogs on Rover since before it was even called Rover. We've lived overseas a few times so if you see gaps in our reviews, that is why. We are very active with our doggie guests and would love to host your dog. We typically go on walks once a day and on weekends typically try to be outside more (as the winter weather permits). We're open to requests to take your pup to dog parks, bike rides, or walks depending on your pup's preferences. Note: you will typically see delayed responses past 9PM but will get back to you as soon as I see your messages. Thanks! Both my husband and I work full time M-F but I work from home and would be able to take bathroom breaks or walks mid-day. If you needed someone to stop by and let your dog out, it would have to be within the Columbia Heights, Fridley, Shoreview area. We have a fenced in yard in the back that we take out the dogs to hang, throw a ball, or relax. Inside the house we leave it open range as long as your pup can handle no accidents, no chewing the kids' stuffies (it's hard I know!), etc. When we are gone, we do like to crate our visitors so they don't get into mischief while we are gone.
About: I’ve provided pet sitting and care for multiple dogs, and cats including feeding, walking, and maintaining routines for friends, family and even people around my neighborhood. I’ve loved animals since childhood, and even had my own lab for 16 years who I loved to the moon and back but sadly passed away late 2024. I know older animals require a certain level of attention and care. I love staying active, and high energy animals and I get along great! I do not mind larger animals. I have consistent availability on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with additional flexible availability throughout the week depending on my schedule. I’m great with planning ahead and keeping a reliable routine with my clients! I provide attentive, personalized care based on each pet’s routine and needs. I maintain feeding schedules, regular walks, and plenty of attention to keep them happy and stress-free. In clients’ homes, I make sure to follow all care instructions closely, including feeding, walking, playtime, and any specific routines your pet is used to. I always aim to keep their environment calm, consistent, and familiar. I also provide updates and photos for peace of mind while you’re away.

“We're so grateful to Dustin for watching our boy! We got consistent updates about how he was doing and pictures from their walks (even when it was crazy cold out!). Connor had a great time and we'll definitely book with him again when we need a sitter!”

“Molly had a great time with Kyle, Jacquie and their girls! They were kind, responsive and provided frequent updates and photos. Would definitely recommend to anyone needing a dog sitter :)”

“Martha and Eric are just amazing! They provided the best care for Etta - it’s clear that she was SO well loved while she was there 🥰 We loved that they sent lots of pictures and videos along with their updates. It gave us such peace of mind to see what she was up to each day. Etta looked right at home (so much so that we weren’t sure she’d even want to leave with us when we came to pick her up 😂). We’re already hoping our next travel plans align with Martha and Eric’s availability because they are so fantastic! We are so grateful!”

“Catherine was absolutely wonderful! This was Zuri's first time staying away from home and Catherine went above and beyond to make her feel at home. Catherine sent daily updates and photos, which were much appreciated, and lots of special treats and special love were given. Zuri also enjoyed having another dog to play with, as she is an only child. I would highly recommend Catherine and will definitely use her again.”

“Brittni and Michael were great with Olive. They were warm and welcoming when I arrived and made sure that Olive was settled in. They promised me timely updates and allowed me to enjoy my trip without worrying about my dog. Having them work at home was awesome because that is what Olive is used to. Would book again! Thank you.”

“I felt completely at ease with Lindsay watching my pup, Loki. We did a meet and greet prior to our visit which made me feel more comfortable and ready to leave him for 4 days. During his visit I received updates daily and photos! Very happy with my experience.”

“Terrie is wonderful! She sent pictures and updates daily, and was so patient and caring with our shy little dog. We would definitely book with Terrie again.”
“What an awesome family! Kelly and Jim and their girls were so welcoming, accommodating, and reassuring when we left our dog Hazel for a couple of nights. They sent the cutest updates with their sweet dog Maisie playing ...even outside on a very rainy weekend!! Would highly recommend their care and confidence. Ten stars!”

“Patti and Patrick took excellent care of our dog. They took her for walks and even a few pup cups! They were friendly, professional, and easy to communicate with. They provided many photos and updates during the stay. Our dog was welcomed into their home and we felt at ease knowing she was being so well cared for.”
