“Queeny provided a safe and welcoming home away from home for our two dogs. She sent us photos or videos every day to show that the dogs were healthy and happy, and we could tell that the dogs were stress-free when we came to collect them. We like the fact that there was an enclosed yard for them to run in, and that they were the only dogs in the home. We will definitely use Queeny again!”

“This was my first time using Rover, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Leaving my dog for a week while I was on vacation was a little nerve-wracking, but Cody immediately put me at ease. From our first interaction, it was clear that he is very experienced with dogs and genuinely enjoys caring for them. I have a high-energy Border Collie/Aussie mix, and he handled him wonderfully. He got plenty of attention, exercise, and care, and I could tell he was comfortable and happy during his stay. I also really appreciated was the regular updates and photos he sent throughout the week. It was so reassuring to see how he was doing and know he was in good hands. I would absolutely trust him with my dog again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and communicative sitter.”

About: I am an animal lover with years of experience taking care of my own dogs and my friends’ many pets. I love to take long walks or sit and hang with animals if that’s what your pets need. I have had dogs in the house since I was a baby, most of which have been large high-energy dogs, so I can handle the big loud pups. My most recent pet was a high-needs senior dog, so I understand the anxiety that comes along with leaving your pet in the care of someone else. I am happy to take care of any special needs and send updates/pictures to ease your mind. I have a soft spot for seniors. In the summer I work from home on weekdays. I have some flexibility when it comes to being able to take longer breaks as long as I can get all my work time in. I have lots of flexibility during weeknights and weekends! My home: I have a great home for dogs, with lots of open space and a fenced back yard. Since I work from home, I would be able to keep an eye on your pets all day long. I have a partner who is home most weeknights and weekdays as well. We recently lost our senior dog and we would love to fill our house with wags and barks again. Clients home: I have lots of experience pet sitting at friends’ homes, so I can adapt to whatever you need at your home. I am very flexible so if you’re curious about how often I can come over or anything, please don’t hesitate to ask.
“Maritza and Daniel took care of our dog Asuna while we were on a vacation. My dog Asuna got along with their pug Lupe during the meet and greet and they have a lovely home.”

“All I can say is Rahied is AMAZING!! My 18yr old blind and deaf baby Coco and are beyond blessed to have found him🙏🏾 He was so attentive, sent updates with pictures daily! Caring for a senior dog is very challenging and exhausting but Rahied made this stay so pleasant for my baby. Feed her by hand, let her drink from her bowl by hand, held her when she cried, administered her medication and so much more😫 I felt so comfortable leaving my baby with him, my spirit told me HE was the one & my spirit does NOT LIE! Forever grateful🤞🏾 If you desire compassion, attentive & extra love while being in the care of a sitter, please don't hesitate to book Rahied Hi🫶🏾 If my baby live another season, Rahied is our choice! Thank you again❤️”

“Jill took such good care of my dog on his visit to her home. We had contacted her a couple of days prior to her watching him and she was really responsive, accommodating and attentive to him while he was injured in a cone and administered his meds and provided extra care. We will definitely be coming back to Jill! Thanks so much!”

“Jonah and Casey were very flexible and accommodating to allowing Willie to stay in their home. They definitely took care of Willie in the same way they would for their own. Boris was an amazing companion for our dog; they definitely wore each other out. Looking forward to another stay with J&C next time we're in detroit.”

“Meredith was the best pet sitter I could have asked for. She was so sweet with my dogs and kept me updated with lots of videos and photos. You can tell how much she loves animals and it felt like she treated my pups as her own. Will absolutely be using her in the future!!”

“10/10 stars!! I would absolutely try boarding/cat sitting with Hali in the future. I was considerably nervous as it was the first time my cat would ever spend a night away from me. Hali made sure to keep me updated with plenty of pictures and videos of Wednesday during her stay! My cat is an anxious girl, so I appreciated the effort and patience Hali had with her. Hali was also very considerate about the fact that my cat gets anxious around dogs, and thankfully was able to provide Wednesday with a space of her own! Overall, I’m very happy with the quality of care Wednesday received and would definitely recommend booking with Hali.”

“Anna did a great job was little Maizie, she is only 7lbs, but Anna’s Ruby was so sweet to her 🥰 Anna was really attentive to Maizie’s eating habits - she is a picky eater and was able to eat her full meal by day two, would love to rebook with Anna again.”

“I was nervous because this was the first time I'd left Picasso with someone he didn't know. Ekow was extremely kind and sent updates of a happy dog daily, which made me feel much better. We've found a new sitter and I will definitely be reaching out anytime we need a sitter. Five stars!!”

“Phoebe had the best weekend with Eriann! It’s never easy leaving your dog with someone new, but she immediately made me feel comfortable and treated Phoebe like one of her own. She kept me updated, was so thoughtful and caring, and Phoebe clearly had the best time hanging with her sweet dog George too. You can tell she genuinely loves animals and pays attention to the little things. So grateful we found her!”

About: Hello! My pet experience consists of having my own doggy for the past 20 years. I rescued my older dog and then got a new puppy. My old Rose passed away but I had to give her eye medication and oral medication everyday so I am comfortable with that. I also grew up with family dogs and cared for those dogs. My availability to watch your dog is very flexible. I work from home a most days a week so it is a high chance that I could work from home while caring for your pup. I am a very caring person. I have a PhD in human development and family science and work in the social work field. I have a giant heart and would love to care for your doggie! As a stay-at-home worker, pet care naturally fits into my daily routine. I’m home throughout the day, which allows me to provide consistent attention, timely feedings, regular potty breaks, and plenty of play and cuddle time. My flexible schedule means I can easily accommodate pets’ needs, whether that’s sticking to a specific routine or being available for spontaneous walks and care. Being home also helps me monitor behavior closely and respond quickly to any changes, making pets feel secure, loved, and well looked after. Whether caring for pets in my home or a client’s, I prioritize creating a safe, comfortable, and engaging environment tailored to each animal’s needs. In my home, pets have access to cozy rest areas, regular outdoor time, and plenty of affection and play throughout the day. I maintain a calm, clean space and follow any routines or special instructions provided. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I respect their space and stick closely to the pet’s established schedule to minimize stress. I provide regular updates, ensure fresh food and water, maintain cleanliness, and give each pet the love and attention they’re used to.
“My dogs Nimbu and Sona have stayed with Vicki and her husband multiple times and they always have the BEST time! They are so kind and respectful and always go above and beyond for us and our pups! They send the best photos and we absolutely love them! If you need to board your dogs you should ABSOLUTELY go with Vicki!!!”

“Enaes did a fantastic job handling my very nervous pooch and was very flexible when I was stuck out of town due to the weather. She provided updates and I felt comfortable having Pheo in her care.”

“Monica is absolutely awesome! She is so kind and sent lots of funny updates when I was out of town to keep me in the loop. My dog was all smiles when I picked him up. He slept for like 2 days straight after getting home so they must have stayed busy & had lots of fun lol. Looking forward to boarding with her again in the future. Thanks again!”

“Migo appreciates you being there for him while he was scared in the storm, all the goodies you give him and the quality playtime. Thanks again for taking great care of him while we had to go out of town!”

“Thank you so much Rhea! I travel for work and she took great care of my kitty; he got to go outside on his leash, got a treat, and she even brought my packages inside for me. Can’t wait to book her again”

“If I could give 10 stars I would!!! I will absolutely ask Robyn to watch my babies again. She picked up my emergency job and was at my house in an hour at 9pm. And it was past her bedtime!!! My original pet sitter was a no call/no show and we were already out of town for a medical appointment. She did a FANTASTIC job with my cats. Normally I like to meet and talk with my pet sitters before having them come for the 1st time but this time she was able to do everything just as if I had been there and it was flawless. Actually one of the 1st times we’ve walked in our house and there’s not been anything wrong. I will without a doubt ask Robyn to come back again. But this time with significant amounts of notice … less than an hr she earns a place in my heart for stepping in when it could have been a serious situation I am just so grateful.”

“Amanda was great! She sent lots of pictures and made sure my two cats (including a very anxious one) were well taken care of while I was out of town for work! She also left my apartment super clean which was so nice to come back to!”

“Danielle is the best! She has been our cat sitter for several years now. My cats adore her, she’s gives them so much attention and if they have any special needs or meds, she handles it to perfection. I always appreciate the detailed notes she provides and all the great pics, so I can see my loves are doing great while I’m away. 100% reliable, I know my pets are always well taken care of with Danielle!”

“Ally was amazing! She took such great care of my two cats. 🐈 🐈⬛ She sent fantastic detailed updates and lots of photos on every visit. Ally really went above and beyond. I am super grateful I found her. I will definitely be rebooking with her in the future!”

“Isabela was a blessing with my kitty at very short notice when I had a last minute trip. She checked in and sent pics of my cat and made me feel less guilty about leaving my sweet girl. I’d definitely book her again”

“Lydia is so caring and communicative, she did an amazing job caring for our kitty - she played with him, gave him cuddles, noted his eating habits. Lydia also noticed a change in his energy level and perceptively linked it to missing his human parents.”

About: I’ve cared for neighbors’ cats since I was a kid, and I started doing much more cat sitting while in college when my roommate took in her family’s senior cat. I love to watch my friends’ cats whenever they leave town.

“Hannah is wonderful! My kitties love her. She is a great communicator and goes above and beyond to keep me in the loop about how things are going. On these most recent visits, my kitties had some accidents due to tummy issues and she kept me informed while also cleaning up the messes with no complaints. We will definitely rebook with her next time we go out of town!”

“Jennifer is the absolute best! She is super responsive and sweet and thorough, plus she’s the only sitter my shy cat has ever come out for :) Will certainly be re-booking and recommending her!”

About: Hello! I am an active and reliable animal lover with years of experience pet-sitting. I value open communication and strive to offer my clients peace of mind while their fur babies are in my care. I specialize in high-energy dogs that need a good long walk/run to be happy/healthy (and sane 😅). But I promise I'm also great with mellow couch potatoes. And I excel at belly rubs! I am a medical student trying to save up to pay for my final semester of medical school, studying for board exams, and hopefully getting to hang out with some awesome pets while doing so. My schedule is wide open and flexible for house-sitting, drop-ins, and walks/runs. I am flexible, accommodating, and can do last-minute requests! I understand that fur-babies are part of the family, and I treat them with the love, respect, and dignity they deserve. I pride myself in treating each pet as in individual and respecting any schedules and guidelines offered by the family. This is one of the reasons why meet 'n greets are so important, and I am more than happy to meet beforehand when the circumstances allow.

About: I’ve done home check-in with many friends and clients. I make sure every cat gets pets and playtime before I leave. I’ve home boarded for a 4 month kitty for 12 days. I adore cats! I continue to volunteer at nearby cat shelters whenever I can. I’ve learned a lot through these shelters so I understand socialization, special needs, calming down spooked cats and nighttime zoomies.

“Christopher is consistent, reliable, and compassionate towards my pup, Mabel, and senior cat, Bodi. I’m happy to have him as a sitter and his availability makes my chaotic schedule much easier on the life of my pets. Thanks Christopher!”

“Sam is amazing! This is my first time Rover and she made the process super easy. She sent so many photos and made sure to give an update at each visit. She took great care of our kitten, Winnie! I highly highly recommend her! We will definitely book her for the future! Thanks again Sam! I appreciate you so much.”

About: I have cared for dogs since our first Siberian Husky joined the family in the 1960's! Family, friends and now new friends have entrusted me to take care of their fury family members when they leave town. From puppies to seniors they are all treated as if they were my own! I will consider accepting two dogs from the same family/household, but will generally only care for one dog at a time. This is so that no dog needs to not only adjust to being away from their own home, but also have to navigate relating to another, unfamiliar animal. I have no pets in my own home at this time either. Breeds I have cared for over the years include Labrador Retrievers, Samoyeds, Pugs, Huskies, Goldendoodles, Labradoodles, Miniature Schnauzers, Weimaraner's, German Shepards, Golden Retrievers, Pit Bulls, French Bulldogs, English Setters, Australian Shepards, Cocker Spaniels, Cockapoos and countless mixed breeds! I work from my home and so I am able to devote myself to any dog in my care. I take frequent work breaks and consider my care of the dogs entrusted to me as a part of my at-home work/life routine! I only care for pets in my own home. I have a nice fenced in backyard with privacy fencing on two sides and chain link on the other two sides, and the dogs seem to like the space. I do not leave dogs in the backyard on their own. I am with them if they are outside. I like to walk the dogs around my neighborhood and through the nearby park up to three times per day depending upon their energy level/physical abilities or limitations and their established routine. Any dogs that are more couch potatoes are certainly never forced to take walks. I honor where they are in terms of their breed, age and physicality! I have cared for elder dogs who have needed regular, timely medications and close observation as well as wild little puppies and everything in between! My home is kept very clean and neat to prevent my fury guests from getting into anything they should not and between visits I wash all dog bedding, towels, blankets and rugs.
“We are so excited we have found such a wonderful caregiver for our two dogs, One is an energetic mini Aussie and I have never seen her respond so well to anyone. She was cuddling with Whitney within a couple of hours and we got lots of photos of the pups playing and snuggling throughout the day. Whitney is a bona fide dog person whose house is not only gorgeous, but was designed with dogs in mind. The fenced in yard and dog park were amazing and our dogs got to play outside in a safe, clean environment. We have already booked her again for a longer visit in December and we are so happy to know our pups will be in the care of someone who not only knows dogs but genuinely cares for them and goes out of her way to make them at home and loved. A++++”

About: Hi! I specialize in puppy care, separation anxiety, and brachycephalic breeds. Having a Bulldog of my own has taught me firsthand how to handle the unique needs of smushy-faced dogs — from monitoring breathing to keeping them cool and comfortable. For anxious or velcro dogs, I provide a calm, attentive environment with plenty of reassurance. Puppies get the extra patience, structure, and supervision they need to feel right at home. 🐾 I work remotely full-time, which allows me to be home throughout the day. I do have occasional meetings during the week, but they are typically under 1.5 hours and scheduled in advance. Your dog will not be left alone for long stretches of time. I can accommodate morning, mid-day, and evening walks and potty breaks. I’m happy to communicate my schedule ahead of time so you feel fully comfortable. I am fully attentive to the animals. I can provide multiple water/feeding bowls, cooling mats, toys, can give dogs medicine, and lots of love! I guarantee I will respect all boundaries and follow all your directions.
About: What can I say, I love animals! I also love to travel and have taken care of pets in the US, UK and the EU. I’m verified on Trusted House Sitters and Home Exchange. I’ve been a Rover owner and used the service frequently for my old dog, Marley. I’ve had dogs, cats, and iguanas. On my micro farm in Texas I have chickens, goats and pigs. I’ve also even cared for horses! My husband and I live in Royal Oak with our 7lb chihuahua (pictured). He’s super silly and cuddly and loves other animals, although is still learning how to play with dogs much bigger than he is. We’d love to have your puppers over or I’d be happy to drop on your purrfect little angel 🐾 I used to use Rover in NYC as an owner and loved in the service and everyone I met. Now I want to help others go on holiday, or to work, and not worry about their furry little nuggets or chonks at home! I am responsible, compassionate and trustworthy. I provide a friendly, loving environment for pets. I’m usually the person in the room even the most unfriendly or fearful animal will come to. I love animals and will treat your pet as if he or she was my own. Giving them love and connection or leaving them alone and just being there to make sure their food and water (or medicine) is taken care of, whatever they need.
“Kadi was fantastic! So warm and reassuring to talk with, as well as super sweet and patient with our pup. He is a bit weary of men, and unfortunately wasn’t able to relax around Kadi’s husband. She let me know that she wanted to make sure Tito was as comfortable as possible. Kadi went of her way to reach out to her pet sitter, a fellow rover member (without a male in the house ☺️), to see if she would be available and open to taking Tito on for a weekend. She even made sure there was availability for a meet and greet before hand. Kadi went above and beyond and showed us she really cares about the well being of the pets in her care. Thanks a million Kadi!”

About: I’ve been around all sorts of animals my whole life, but specifically specialize in dog care. Aside from that experience, I am also trained in dog first aid and cpr. I highly prioritize your loved one’s safety first. I do personally love taking care of senior animals. They go at their own pace and I will always be patient and accommodating for them what ever their special needs may be. No matter what age your furry friend is, or breed, or size, I will treat your pet with the utmost care and love like they were my own. “Suzanne is reliable and a great dog walker. My dog looks forward to seeing her, and they have great little adventures through the neighborhood. Hope she can continue to walk him weekly for a long time!!”

About: I have had dogs since I was born. I have experience dealing with training puppies as well as dealing with senior dogs. I will follow your instructions for care to the T because I know how important it is for dogs to have stable training and schedules. I will take your dog to the park, out on a walk, on a run, or with me around town. In my mind dogs are part of the family and I will treat them as one of my own for as long as I have the privilege to take care of them. I have two rescues, both fixed that get along great with other dogs. I foster for several rescues so i know how to deal with different temperaments of dogs. Your dog will receive the same care as mine and all the same walks/runs/play time. I work from home so I am able to take your dog outside, for walks, and ensure they are getting the exercise they need to thrive. I have a fenced in yard, gated front porch, and a gate on the stairs. The dogs will have full access to the basement (dog proofed) and first floor. Access to the top floor will be for bedtime (if the routine is the dog sleeps in the bed). We also have a playpen and crates here at the house.

“Gary is the best!! He's so amazing with my pups! They love him and really enjoy their walks with him. And, he really helped me out when I found myself in need of a walker on short notice. Can't say enough how thankful I am for him & Rover.com!!”

About: I got started dog-sitting as a teenager, because every family I baby-sat for had dogs as well. I've spent years walking and taking care of dogs, though I've never had one of my own. I love dogs, but through my adult life so far, I haven't lived in an apartment complex that allowed them. I am up for long walks and playtime. I also just moved to the Detroit-area from Kalamazoo, and walking dogs seems like a great way to get to know the neighborhoods.
“Danielle was great! Friendly and sweet to my pup. She also helped me out when I’m in a bind recovering from a surgery. Really appreciate the whole experience.”

About: Since I was 10 I've taken care of dogs of all sizes and enjoyed it mainly larger dogs since they are easier to handle. I'm available anytime past 12pm and can watch your dog for as long as needed. Give me a call anytime and we'll take good care of your dog. I have a large yard with a well kept fence and multiple rooms in case your dog needs their own space. Well be outside most of the time. I also like to set out a small pool in case it's too hot outside.
About: I have been caring for dogs and cats for as long as I can remember. I have a pitbull boxer mix named Pepper at home as well as three cats. I am fully experienced with all aspects of their care including walking, feeding, administering medication, spending quality time, and more. I believe in positive reinforcement only and am well acquainted with pets of any age, size, or temperament. I will do everything I can to make time within my weekly schedule to care for your pets. Weekends or weekdays, as well as overnight stays, are fine by me. I believe in patience and positive reinforcement with pets. I am also very respectful of your home and their living spaces and will be mindful of any boundaries set concerning those.
“So grateful to have Autumn coming everyday to walk the dogs and feed them. She is punctual, provides a great report and takes pix every time. She has also been so helpful and added services we needed added on last notice. We feel very comfortable and the dogs love her!”

About: Updated for 2026 :) I’m about 3+ years into this Rover journey and truly enjoy it for so many reasons. We always had a dog growing up and I had two labs and two cats in my adult life who have sense “gone to heaven”. Now in an apartment and not able to have pets, sitting has become extra special for me, giving me that dose of animal love that I’ve been missing :) I also work remote, which ensures your pets have a little extra TLC <3 As far as experience - I’ve been around and love puppies but also know the attention and care that older pets need. They are honestly some of my favorites. Having met and worked with lots of sitters for my own pets in the past, I know the importance of finding someone you can trust not only with your pets but also in your home. From giving medicine, to walks and playtime, rolling in the grass and picking up poop, it all comes with the territory that I’m already so familiar and comfortable with. Because I work remotely, meeting your pets needs and sticking to their schedule should be no problem at all! I’d love the chance to meet and care for the animals in your family! My schedule can be flexible, if needed. I work remote so can be around to give your pets all kinds of love throughout the day! I’m happy to take all the walks or throw toys in your yard to keep your dogs happy - whatever is preferred! Staying on their schedule and making sure they have everything they need will be easy as I have lots of practice with my own at home (cat cuddles included) ❤️
About: I’ve been surrounded by and taking care of dogs since I was young. I have experience with all ages, giving medications and with handling reactive dogs. I am currently working full time (4-5 days) as a server/bartender. My shifts are short(4-5hrs) and usually in the late morning or early evening so I always have part of my day to dedicate to your pet. I do not offer boarding services but I am more than happy to visit your pet and make sure they are comfortable, fed and walked if needed. I enjoy interacting with animals and assessing their body language to meet their needs.
About: I’ve had cats and dogs growing up all throughout my life for the last 15 years. My family has two dogs, a Lab and Pitbull who we adore. My experience ranges from senior dogs and changing their diapers to little puppies and their doggie potty pads. I love any doggo I encounter at any age. As for kitties, I have two of my own and my friends call me the crazy cat lady because I’m obsessed with any kitty I come across! During the work week I am available anytime during Mondays and Fridays. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays I am in office but am available after 5pm. I am also free on the weekends. I will care and love your fur babies as if they were my own! Each pet has complete different personalities and needs so it takes using different approaches. I also prioritize Play to stimulate their minds.
About: I grew up with two cats, fish, a guinea pig and a dog! I started taking care of animals officially when I was 14. My neighbors hired me to either walk their dogs, pet sit during trips, or just check in on them during the day. I’ve taken care of dogs and cats. Some of the neighbors that hired me had me coming back for years every day to either walk there dog, let there dogs out or feed their cat. I also have experience with overnight pet care. Currently looking for a part-time job in Burlington, so my hours are very flexible and I have open availability for all your pet care needs! I always make sure that I understand very clearly all the details for caring for someone’s pet. Every pet is unique and requires different things. I am 100% transparent and appreciate communication. I always make sure to double check everything and I value your pets safety and well being just as much as my own.

“Mariana is the first sitter I’ve had on Rover, and she did amazing!!! My Rika girl was in heaven the whole week she was with Mariana and her family. She sent pictures multiple times a day, was extremely responsive, and even took time to start teaching Rika “lay down”. She went above and beyond and Rika was happy and exhausted when I picked her up, will definitely use again!”

“Andrew & Linh did an outstanding job keeping me posted with Ruby’s care throughout her stay with comments, pics and videos! This was my first time having them watch her, and I will definitely ask again if I’m out of town!”

“Wow!! Rachel is by far THE BEST dog care person we’ve ever had! We got so many comforting texts and videos of our pup while we were away and it made us feel SO GOOD knowing that our beloved fur baby was being so well cared for. I’ll only book with Rachel from now on. Thank you!!”

“Sam was great! I received constant updates and pictures. My dog is often very anxious after boarding and this time she wasn't, which tells me that she was very comfortable and well cared for during her stay. I'll definitely be using Sam again!”
