About: I love cats, dogs, (guinea pigs, bunnies, and hedgehogs too—though I don't think that's an option here). I grew up with 3 cats, hamsters, guinea pigs, bunnies, and chickens. I have lived with cats and small dogs multiple times (housemates), and I have petsitted for friends and neighbors throughout my life. I have many years of experience: walking dogs in NYC & in Western Mass; pet-sitting for my friends', neighbors' and partner's dogs (as well as for other types of pets). I’m heading to UMass to study Animal Science and hope to join the National Guard to gain EOD bomb-sniffing dog experience. I currently own a high-energy Border Collie/Australian Kelpie mix I rescued, and I’ve also cared for an elderly Shih Tzu who needed lots of special attention and patience. I’m very work-oriented, reliable, and people have told me I’m great with customer service. Neighbors, friends, and family often count on me to walk, feed, and bathe their pets, and I truly love every moment of it. As a full-time student, I’ve built a schedule that gives me plenty of time for pet care. I also work at a doggy daycare in Avon, CT, so my work schedule usually varies throughout the week. I’m happy to communicate my availability ahead of time and work with each pet parent to find a schedule that works best for everyone. I’m generally more flexible on days I’m not working and can often accommodate evenings and weekends. I treat every pet like they’re my own and want them to feel safe, comfortable, and loved while they’re in my care. Working at a doggy daycare has given me experience handling dogs with all different personalities, energy levels, ages, and needs. I’m attentive to their body language and routines and always make sure they get the appropriate amount of exercise, attention, rest, food, and potty breaks. I also understand that every dog is different, so I’m happy to follow each pet’s specific routine and their owner’s instructions.
About: I’ve had many dogs and cats as pets and there have been medical issues I have learned to deal with such as asthma, arthritis injections and heart murmurs. I have also worked at vet clinics for summer jobs! I am currently a full time student as UMASS Amherst. Most of my availability will be on weekends but I can also do weekday evenings. I will not be in MA during holidays since I go home to my family. I can drop-in to feed animals or I can spend some time with the animals. I am happy to go for walks or if the animals prefer to stay inside, I can bring some work to do while I am there.

I pay close attention to details, especially if your pet seems uncomfortable, and I can’t help but shower them with love and attention because they’re just too cute!
About: It’s so hard to be away from your pup but having friends come in to visit and play makes the day feel not so long. I have had dogs my whole life. I just love their individual personalities. I typically work Monday through Friday and can pop in for an early morning visit and breakfast or stop by for a longer visit and dinner after work. My schedule is flexible so running over midway is possible if necessary. Weekends are generally wide open. I would like to work with you to meet your needs. I have 2 pups and 3 cats at home that love extra attention, playing and quiet snuggles. Nice long walks or a trip to the dog park could be a fun adventure. For cats, some scratches along the jaw line or kitty fishing can be an engaging way to interact.
About: I grew up having dogs and cats and taking care of them. Now that I don’t have any pets of my own, I’d love to care for someone else’s! I have dog sat for all kinds of dogs and always enjoyed the time spent with them. I currently work as a full time teacher, so I have time for pet care in the evenings most days of the week and even weekends. I care for pets by trying to understand what they need and giving them lots of love and attention. I am also fit enough to lift a dog if needed.
