About: Hello, I’ve taken care of dogs and cats of every kind since I was 10 years old. I have watched, played, fed and walked friends or neighbors animals. I love and care for any size animal. My family used to own a 200+ English mastiff. I work Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., so pet care is part of my routine before and after work. In the mornings, I feed, walk, and spend time with pets before leaving. After work, I take them for another walk, feed them if needed, play with them, and make sure they have plenty of attention. On weekends, I have more flexibility for feeding, longer walks or other activities. I have a fenced in yard and walking paths all around in my neighborhood. I also have an open field near by to play fetch.

About: I got my first dog (fox terrier) at 10 and was primarily responsible for his needs until I went to college. He lived to be 11 and I loved those 10 years with him so much. During high school and college until COVID started, I pet sit several dogs and a few cats. Then I adopted a retired racing greyhound when COVID started and adopted a rescue great dane in fall 2023. I would describe myself as consistent, adaptable, respectful, confident, observant, and caring. I am very understanding to the fact that every dog has different needs and that every owner has their own rules/training styles. I am an experienced dog handler. When I adopted the rescue great dane, he was completely untrained with very dangerous and challenging behaviors. I worked with 3 different trainers, took him to a group obedience class, and researched as much as I could to train him to be the good dog I knew he could be. After almost a year of rigorous training, he has been able to become an amazing well behaved dog. I am completely open to taking care of any breed, size, age, and personality. I will not shy away from or turn down taking care of the "difficult" dogs, or puppies, or senior dogs with many medical requirements. All dogs are great and deserve great care while their human is away! The greyhound is very chill and is great with any well-behaved dog. The great dane is fine with well-behaved small dogs. I will always take it slow on leash when introducing the dogs to each other and then they will always be supervised when together. Only other pets I have are fish. I have no kids. I keep the house very clean and doors to rooms/bathrooms closed so no way of getting in to things they shouldn't! I have a decently sized fenced backyard. There is a few feet of the fence that is higher off the ground so if I can keep small dogs on leash when they go out. I can also take them out by themself if necessary. I live in a 4 bedroom house with a basement so plenty of room in case the dogs need a break from each other or need to play separately from each other. Additionally, the great dane is extremely well crate trained and has an upstairs and downstairs crate that can be utilized. If I had to leave for some reason while your dog is staying at my house (which I rarely do, all dogs would be separated (by crate or being in a different room). You can bring their crate and/or I have an extra crate as well. All dogs can sleep in the bedroom but not on the bed!

About: Hello! My name is Sam; I’m an experienced petsitter and have worked with animals - including dogs, cats, birds, reptiles and small rodents - nearly my entire life. I volunteered at Save-A-Pet in Grayslake for over 6 years. Additionally, I worked as a dog handler at Central Bark doggy daycare in Grayslake, and was a stablehand at Shorewood Acres in Grayslake for 4 years. “I was very anxious about leaving my large elderly bulldog with someone new. Chisato kindly allowed us a meet and greet prior to our reservation to alleviate my concerns and allow my dog a chance to visit her home. During my dog's stay, I received very regular text updates with lots of pictures, video, and descriptions of her day. She took my lazy pup out for many slow walks, and did a wonderful job managing her medications and dietary needs, including a medicated bath. I regularly help residents safely care for and enjoy time with their beloved pets, so I’m experienced in recognizing changes in behavior, adapting to individual needs, and providing calm, attentive care. I’m also comfortable with senior dogs who may need a slower pace. Because I’m young and active, I love getting outside for walks, playtime, and adventures that help energetic dogs stay happy and engaged. Whether your pup wants a long walk, a game of fetch, or just lots of cuddles and companionship, I’ll tailor my care to their personality and routine. My goal is to treat every dog as if they were my own, so you can feel confident they’re safe, loved, and having a great time while you’re away! I work a normal 9-5 Monday-Friday. Therefore I prefer to do Friday afternoon-Sunday evening stays! This way I am available 24/7 for the pet. I have a fenced in yard (that is also dig proof). I currently have one very friendly dog who would be eager to any pups companion. My dog is allowed on furniture/in beds. We have a lot of sidewalks & trails within our neighborhood for walks. I have multiple security cameras.

“I’m not one to write reviews but I know how important they were when I choose Debbie and her family to care for my dog. I had so many reservations and worries but after reading great reviews and then after our meet and greet I knew I had chosen the right person. Not only did Debbie and her family care for my dog but it was clear in the pictures I received daily that he was also given so much love to the point I wondered will he want to come back home lol. In addition to caring for our dog I told them due to a back injury Chanze was never leash trained and they took the time to leash train him as they went for daily walks. In every part of his care they went above and beyond what was expected. I will definitely be using Debbie and her family for our next trip. If you have any hesitation with using a complete stranger/an app to choose someone to watch your pet know your worries will quickly go away as this a wonderful family who will shower your pet with nothing but love.”

“DEE IS AN ANGEL! My mini poodle is an anxious/reactive dog so it’s hard to find people who are willing to watching him and understand his quirky behaviors. From the initial meet and greet, it was obvious how much Dee loves animals and dog sitting. I left my dog with her for 5 nights and couldn’t be happier with how comfortable he was with her. Dee provided multiple daily updates with pictures and videos, and she kept up with his 3 time a day feeding and his daily meds.
