I especially appreciate that Ryan limits the number of dogs he boards at one time to a very small group, & makes sure they vibe well together beforehand. The living space Ryan and his boarders occupy is all on one level, which is great for my dog with arthritis. There is a wooded trail for walks adjoining the yard, and a guest bedroom if a dog needs some quiet alone time. I would HIGHLY recommend Ryan and I plan to use him again!”

From Rottweilers to Pit bulls, to American Bulldogs. I currently have an Olde English Bulldog who is the princess of our family. I have a huge love for dogs but specifically bully breeds. I have experience working at a dog kennel in Putnam Valley taking care of multiple dogs at a time, big and small. I also take care of my neighbors 3 black labs when she is away multiple times a year. We will give play, attention, exercise, love and create a setting where your pet feels comfortable and not stressed. We should do a meet and greet with our dogs prior to first boarding. The yard here is fully fenced, but I only let dogs out in the yard with supervision. I will give walks/hikes, as you like. Your dog can sleep and hang-out in whatever area of the house is comfortable to him or her. If they prefer a crate, we can. If they prefer their own room, they can have my lower level finished room. If they like to mix it up with the family they can. We cater to your dog and help to diminish their stress and let them be themselves. If the pup is stressed and needs extra attention at night, they can sleep in the bedroom, ( sometimes on the bed, only if you allow that) . I have cared for multiple senior and special needs dogs, providing medication, and special care routines. We look forward to getting to know your loving pet and offering them a home away from home! Pet Care is a dominant share of our daily lives. Someone is here most of the day, so lots of interaction and attention is provided. If we run out , here or there ( as you would at home) each dog get’s their own space to hang-out. Dogs visiting from different families are only together, when supervised. My Home-Away-Vacay-Stay has a fully fenced yard with plenty of toys. Run of the house and cuddles with our family make your pup feel at home.
About: I am an animal lover here to help! I grew up with animals, and have 3 dogs and 2 cats of my own. I also owned ducks and chickens for several the years. I have many years experience with a variety of medical issues pertaining to dogs and cats, including allergies and epilepsy. I also have years of experience in dog and puppy training (not professionally), including adopting my own puppy 2 years ago. That same puppy is now approved and undergoing training to be a psychiatric service dog. My other 2 dogs are also well trained. Although we’re happy to take it easy, we also love to hike and would be happy to take your dog along! I work with animals full time and love it! My schedule changes based on the needs of my clients for that week, and I adjust as needed. My pets are my babies! I have a fenced in yard, with a dog door to access it. It does close, and can be kept closed during the day if needed as my dogs are extremely well trained, and also have the option to access to my home office (a separate building in the back yard) if needed. They have full range and free access to the downstairs, except we discourage them being in the kitchen. Our dogs are kept from the upstairs by a secured baby gate. They are allowed up there, just usually attended because the puppy sometimes confuses her human sisters toys for her own! We have a large property with a trail that we take our dogs up to, and also live very close to several hiking trails that we frequent. One of our dogs had to retire from long walks and hikes, so he stays home now, but he still loves a good car ride and a short easy walk!

About: Although most of my formal rescue work has been with cats, dogs have always been part of my life too. I adopted my Shiba Inu in 2019, and caring for him as he’s aged has given me real-world experience with senior dog needs. He’s now 11+ with a heart condition that requires medication twice a day, and I handle all of his care — nail trims, baths, daily walks, and occasional vet‑prescribed injections for arthritis. He’s taught me so much about patience, routine, and gentle medical handling. Beyond my own dog, I’ve helped care for many dogs belonging to friends and family, each with their own personality and quirks. I’ve worked with a loud, high-energy Red Heeler; several bold little “Napoleon” Chihuahuas; a nervous, skeptical Dachshund; a giant, gentle German Shepherd; multiple Boston Terriers; a super-smart, high-energy Poodle/Yorkie mix; and a regal Doberman Pinscher. These dogs have given me hands-on experience with everything from anxious and spicy temperaments to confident, goofy, or highly intelligent behavior. The living space Ryan and his boarders occupy is all on one level, which is great for my dog with arthritis. There is a wooded trail for walks adjoining the yard, and a guest bedroom if a dog needs some quiet alone time. I would HIGHLY recommend Ryan and I plan to use him again!”
