Janine responded quickly and we scheduled a time for me and my dog to visit to make sure it’d be a good fit. She and her teen kids each took a dog and me and my dog for a walk around the block, then they opened up their home to me to show me how my dog would live when boarded. They showed me the white board where they write down the dogs diets and schedule and sent me updates and photos. I really appreciated that. It was a lot of effort on their part! I was honestly a little nervous at first since I had never used Rover before or had strangers care for our dogs, especially since one of our dogs requires daily medication. We decided to do an initial meet-and-greet beforehand so we could get to know Cecilia and Ethan and make sure they were the right fit, and I’m so glad we did! I shared a detailed care guide with them, and they followed everything to a tee. They were incredibly responsible, attentive, and responsive throughout our entire trip. They also went above and beyond by taking our dogs out to the lake and even to Monterey! We received lots of photos and videos every day, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. Our dogs basically had a little vacation of their own! 🥹 It’s very clear that Cecilia and Ethan genuinely care about dogs and put a lot of thought into making sure they were happy, comfortable, and well cared for. About: I absolutely love animals. I've grown up with dogs my entire life and currently have two cats at home. Previously experienced with caring for my senior dog who had CKD. I have a lot of experience with dogs and cats of different sizes and temperaments as I'm currently working as a vet assistant and studying to be a registered veterinary technician. I treat every animal like they’re part of my own family. Since I stay home to support my family, I have the time and flexibility to give pets the attention they deserve. Pet care is already part of my daily routine; I’m used to feeding on schedule, cleaning up, taking pets out, and making time for play and exercise. Being home allows me to respond quickly to their needs and keep a close eye on their well-being. I genuinely enjoy the companionship and love creating a safe, calm environment where pets feel comfortable and cared for. Whether pets are in my home or I’m visiting theirs, I prioritize keeping their routine as close to normal as possible to help them feel secure. At my home, I provide a clean, pet safe environment with regular feeding, potty breaks, playtime, and quiet time. I follow any special instructions, like medications or preferred toys, and keep pets supervised and comfortable. When I’m in a client’s home, I respect their space and routines. I make sure pets are fed, walked, played with, and cleaned up after according to the owner’s instructions. I also take time to bond with the pet, so they feel safe while their owner is away. I keep in touch with updates and photos, so owners know their pet is in good hands.
About: I adopted my dog at 6 weeks old and he has not gotten out of the puppy phase until he was 4 years old. Throughout those years I've learned to redirect his attention onto something else using treats and words that he can understand. I handle more active/ hyper dogs well during walks and occasionally like to run with them too to burn some energy. Im currently a full- time student with the afternoons free everyday. I have no class on Tuesday and Thursday so I can my spend time with dogs full-time those days! As well as weekends. I like to prioritize enrichment/play and food when I care for a pet because feeding time varies based on each animal. Play time is also important because it's their enrichment time and it is what will tire the pet the best way possible at the end of the day. Play time also allows me to bond with the pet and enjoy my time doing so. I find it be the most rewarding part of taking care of pets.

I can play tug-of-war or fetch with your dog for 10 ~ 20 minutes if he/she likes to play, depending on the weather. **Nighttime** During the night, your dog will stay indoors with us. Please bring your own bed so that your dog can have something he/she is familiar with in a new environment. **Meals** 2~3 meals a day based on your dog's diet. We know some dogs have their favorite food, so please bring your meal and treat. **Environment** Fenced backyard. **Safety** Most importantly, we must ensure those two little guys get along. Peanut is very friendly and playful. He is insured and vaccinated.

They took good care of Baxter, enquired about his schedule and made sure Baxter is comfortable in their home. Yukon tried to get Baxter to play but Baxter, being older now, did not want to play and Yukon was content with being chill and giving him space. Baxter usually is not comfortable in other’s homes but he had a good time with Divya and Shane. Would highly recommend Divya and Shane and will be definitely be leaving Baxter with them again.”
