“Ashish was an amazing Dog Sitter. I was leaving my eight month old puppy for 15 days and was very nervous. As soon as I dropped my dog off with Ashish I felt completely comfortable. He went above and beyond The duty and sending videos and pictures I could see from those pictures and videos that Ari was very well taken care of. I will definitely be using him for all my future trips. Ashish gave me peace of mind when I needed it most.”
“Allora was great! I only have positive things to say, Coco seemed so happy staying with her and her family. Allora sent me frequent updates and pictures which was great! I will definitely be boarding Coco with her again.”

“Deborah had my dog for a week while I was on a work trip. I hate leaving him, but she made the trip so much better with regular photos and updates. He had a great time, and I could not have been more pleased. It actually enabled me to enjoy my trip. Thank you!!”

“Ross was awesome! From our initial meeting, he asked all the right questions about the care and personality of my pup. During my pups stay, Ross was great about sending daily photos and updates on how my little guy was managing with my absence. I could see from the photos that my pup and Ross's pup were getting along really well... This left me feeling very comfortable that my pup was enjoying his 'vacation'. Thanks so much Ross! We look forward to Baxter staying with you again soon!”

“We are SO grateful we found Luna! Our usual dog care fell through right before a long out-of-state trip, and we were genuinely considering postponing because our senior dog, Indi, has recently been diagnosed with IBD and needs a specialized diet, daily meds, and a calm, attentive environment. She can get stressed easily in new places, which has previously led to tummy issues and even skin flare-ups — so we were very nervous about leaving her with someone new. From the very first message, Luna was incredibly warm, proactive, and thoughtful. She even offered to set up a meet-and-greet right away before we could ask, which immediately put us at ease. Once we dropped Indi off, it was clear Luna treats animals like family. Her own dog, Jim, also has IBD, so she had first-hand experience and comfort caring for a pup with similar needs. Throughout the two weeks, Luna provided detailed updates every single day — including meals, meds, walks, and yes, digestion reports (very appreciated 😂). She took so many adorable photos and videos that we could see how happy and relaxed Indi was. Our dog walker also commented on how noticeably happier and healthier Indi seemed while staying at Luna’s — her stools even improved (a true win for IBD dog parents!). Communication was flawless, kind, and reassuring the whole time. We felt completely at ease, which is priceless. We would absolutely book with Luna again and recommend her wholeheartedly to anyone looking for a sitter who is caring, attentive, and truly exceptional. Indi came home happy, calm, and healthy — we couldn’t ask for more. 💛🐾”

“My dog Gracie, who is shy, really enjoyed staying with Nadine. She especially loved Nadine‘s dog Cosmo, and happily played with her. Nadine sent me pictures and videos every day and that set my heart at rest that Gracie was having a wonderful time. I highly recommend Nadine. Gracie will be seen Nadine, Cosmo, and the other dogs again. Thank you so much, Nadine.”

“Ana G and her love & care for our fur baby was exceptional ❤️ I will definitely refer her and keep her for our dog coverage care, not to mention, as much as she hated to see our pup go. I think pup didn't want to leave. She a real 5 star 🌟”

“Hope is great with nervous dogs and makes them feel comfortable and loved. We booked her last minute for a week long trip caused by a family emergency, and it was so nice to not have to worry about our pup. Hope is very communicative and sends lots of pics and videos. Great sitter!”

“First time using jeanette as a sitter and was not disappointed. I had to cancel and book a visit, both last minute and she was very accommodating. Will be booking her again next time I travel. Thank you jeanette and family!”

“Maria was great with my poodle mix pita. She sent me updates and pictures. Her house is very clean and tidy. We will be booking with her again. Great experience. Thank you Maria!”

“Yesica - did an amazing job with our dogs. She followed our instructions to a letter and provide provided us consistent updates throughout the day and even pictures of them. This helped us feel a lot more comfortable. We would highly recommend her and will book with her again.”

“We deeply appreciate that Scooter is well loved and taken care of. We never have to worry if he will be okay. Yuko and pack treats him like their own. We are thrilled to say we have found Scooter’s trusted & preferred people to leave him with when needed.”

“We had such a wonderful experience leaving our dog with Kate! Kate sent daily pictures and updates, so we never had to worry about how our pup was doing; we could actually relax and enjoy our vacation, knowing she was in such caring hands. Kate's own dog, Rootie, is the sweetest thing, adorable, and so well-behaved, which says a lot about the loving environment she provides. It's clear that dogs are happy and comfortable in her care. We're so glad we got to meet Kate and sweet Rootie, and we'll definitely be knocking on their door again the next time we travel. Highly recommend!”

About: Since I started caring for loved ones' cats and adopted one of my own, I've learned what special creatures they are. Friends and family trust me with their care and I fall in love with their unique personalities every time. I clean litter boxes at least once a day, provide fresh water and food, keep track of food intake and frequency/quality of bathroom breaks, make sure they get lots of play time, and administer topical and oral medication as needed. I also have experience with senior cats and cats with chronic kidney disease.

“Yasmin was fantastic! Above and beyond! There was some challenges getting into my house and on the last day because I wasn't as clear as I should've been with my instructions. But she was calm and cool and took extra time on both visits without any complaints, did everything that need to be doneand was very gracious about the whole thing. I would definitely recommend her!”

“Kyla was awesome! She was always on time and made sure our kitties were doing good while we were away. She was super responsive and quick on updates. We loved all the pictures and will definitely be a repeat customer! ?”

“Met letter was great with our two cats! She did all the basics (food/water/litter box) and then gave them some extra love and attention. She even got our shy one to come out and say hi! Would definitely recommend her for all of your pet needs and we will Definitely be using her again ❤️”

“Deborah is a wonderful cat sitter! She is thorough with basic care tasks, goes beyond to take care of things (emptied litter maid, brought in packages, is skilled in administering oral pills) and takes great and plentiful pictures, all while showing compassion and kindness towards my cat. Would highly recommend to anyone!”

About: I am a loving and friendly dog sitter! I grew up with two dogs, a poodle and a Chihuahua. My family currently has a bull terrier that I love very much. I also take care of my best friend's dog when she is out of town. I love dogs and going on walks so this combination is perfect for me. I am currently a nanny to one of nephews as needed but I am free every day during the summer to take care of your furry babies. I make sure I read their cues of needing water/food, when they need to pee/poop, when they're overstimulated, stressed, or happy. I also make sure to pet them and show them love by scratching them, patting them, and rubbing them. I also follow any schedule that is given to me to make sure they stick to their normal routine.
About: I've worked my entire 30+ year career taking care of people and their animals. I've five years in private in-home care for seniors, eight years in childcare, and over 10 years caring for the pets of my friends, family, and relations thereof. Cats, dogs, hamsters, birds, and even a pair of ferrets! I'm pretty good at connecting and animals tend to read that. I'm all about healthy treats, balanced food options, great nutrition, and appropriate exercise; and as a former chef and caregiver, I love cooking for pets too! While I don't currently have any pets of my own, I'm also happy to just chill out with your pet for anxiety reducing calm and comfort. Need someone to be attentive and sensitive to your pet's needs? I'm your Girl! I'm currently working remotely, part-time Tuesday through Thursday. My work is pretty flexible and I can take it with me wherever I go, though I do require notice so I can prepare and make adjustments if needed. I'm open to negotiating outside of calendar hours listed. Just reach out and ask! If I'm unable to make it work, I'll let you know. I'm a fun-loving soul that, simply, adores animals! I'm happy to care for your pup or meowser at your East Bay home. I can stay or stop by to play, spend quality time, or just water, feed, and walk your furry friend if that's what you need. While I haven't any formal medical training for pets, I'm detail oriented and good with instructions. I'm here to help out, so if you have any questions about special needs, just ask. “Rachael was AMAZING! Your fur babies are in great hands with her. She was extremely attentive to all the special care our senior kitty needed, was quick to reply and easy to get ahold of, and did a fantastic job with all the little extra house tasks while we were away for a few days. Cannot recommend her enough!”

“Thank you Cyndi for taking care of Jack and Guiness and sending us the pictures, it gave us a lot of piece of mind knowing that Cyndi was taking care of our 2 cats! I can highly recommend Cyndi”
About: I am full of gratitude that have had a lifelong relationship with dogs. I use a force-free and fear-free approach. Dogs are their own beings that we get to tend to as humans, and it is truly an honor that I get to work with them. I’m a fan of long walks, hikes, and East Bay hills explorations. Special needs dogs and large pups welcome! My absolute favorite dogs are rescues, but I have experience walking dogs of all sizes, from mastiffs and newfies to shitzhus and terriers. Please let me know if your dog has any special needs, favorite games, or things to avoid. I am kind, firm, and will pick up all of your dog’s poop! I look forward to meeting you and your doggy friend! I work from home and take lots of walks throughout my flexible day. I’d love to take your pup along with me! I can do longer morning walks with enough heads up as well. Your dog's trust and safety is so important to me! I will spend time with you beforehand so that I can learn more about your pup and what they need. For walks, I will get to know your dog before we venture out on to the streets together. For dogsitting, I have a house checklist to make sure that your pup and space have the best care while you're away. I keep a safe distance from other dogs and people during walks.

About: I have volunteered at the Berkeley animal shelter. I take care of cats by petting, playing with them, and giving them treats. I have a cat of my own. I have taken care of my friend’s cat for a few days.

“Ashish was great! We did a Meet and Greet a few days before so Penny could meet Andy. We met Andy and Ashish’s son - both were so sweet 🥰😍 I would definitely recommend his services for doggie daycare. He sent pics and Penny seemed to enjoy herself in his lovely backyard - it was a nice sunny day.”

“Asatur has an amazing, huge outdoor space to allow dogs to run and play. He is clearly very experienced with dogs and communicated clearly and shared updates during our dog’s daycare visit.”

“Jeanette and family have taken care of Emily several times now and she always comes back calm and happy. Given her sort of one-person personality, I knew that Emily would need several day-care visits to get accustomed to Jeanette and her household before moving on to the next step of an overnight. With Jeanette's loving care and help I think Emily is ready for her next "big step" of overnighting! My dog is not one who makes instant friends (dog or human) usually, so this is an ongoing process and it is going well so far!”

“Nadine is such a kind and caring pup sitter! Super accommodating and kept me informed of my pup’s activities throughout the day! She’s definitely going to be a forever companion for my pooch!”

“My dog had a wonderful time! Bonnie was incredibly accommodating and caring, and did a great job with a working breed — they had lovely walks and plenty of playtime together. I loved getting pictures and videos throughout the day, such a nice touch. She also sent updates on eating and snacking. Highly recommend for daycare!”

“It is our first time using Rover and we chose the right person to take care of our puppy Max. Allora and her family were amazing. She had him for the day and he had the time of his life! They constantly kept us updated with photos and videos and even let him wear an Air Tag to make sure he's safe. We'll definitely let our dog stay over here again!”

“Kushram and Family are a wonderful find for dog sitting or doggy day care. Give the initial booking request a bit of lead time, as the confirmation that the day/time works may take up to a day to come through. This time I put in a request 9:30pm on a Saturday, and got confirmation Sunday evening. (I suspect requests are processed daily). The initial booking request was the largest gap we experienced in communication, scheduling the meet and greet by messages was easy - they were very responsive and want to ensure you and your pup will be comfortable with their set up and go over any special needs of the dog. Our elder pup Rick was drawn to Kushram and the whole family even on the meet and greet (I think just his wife and adult nephew), as well the drop off day of, and they were able to make him comfortable enough to eat even on a short visit. Given our short booking (only about 3 hrs) we can't really comment on long term pictures/communication during the visit, but I can say I feel pretty happy that I found some place local where I feel comfortable leaving my dog when I need to go somewhere. They also have some experience with some dog special needs, but can help best when they know about it ahead of time. They were not concerned or put off in the slightest by our pups needs (mostly that he's pretty clingy, can get cold easily, and only has 3 teeth and will only eat small pieces of food, and doesn't love hanging out with other dogs), and described other dogs they had watched with similar or more challenging needs such as dog-sitting a blind dog in a new space. Thank you for taking good care of our pup!”

“I have an anxious senior pup who hasn't spent much time apart from my partner and I since adopting him a few months ago (in large part due to his anxiety). I did a pre-meeting with Zoe to make sure it would be a good fit for the pup and then we completed the booking. While my pup still let me know later in the day he was mad I left him, when I picked him up he was happy and bouncing around, but also perfectly happy to go back and hang with her. I think this was the most positive experience possible for Rick and am hopeful the positive experience might help him towards being less anxious when we leave him in the future (every positive experience helps I hope!). I would and will definitely book again with her as long as she's available and accepts him again! Also to note, she was very flexible with our pick up time which I appreciated - I had mentioned I might be able to pick the dog up early, and then when I was able to I messaged her that day and picked him up 3 hours early to hopefully make it easier on Rick. That for sure saved me some time instead of needing to pick him up and hitting rush hour on my way home. She was also very helpful and provided feedback to me on Rick's behavior at my request so I have a good handle on how his anxiety and overall behavior is progressing as we try to work through it. Thanks again Zoe (and Partner!)! I really appreciate y'all.”

About: I grew up surrounded by dogs and cats since birth and have spent my whole life building a deep understanding of animal behavior and care. Growing up, my family raised two litters of puppies, giving me hands-on experience with everything from newborn care to socialization and training throughout various life stages. I currently share my home with three dogs of my own and I regularly care for friends' cats and dogs, both in my home and theirs. I'm comfortable with dogs of all sizes, from small lap dogs to large breeds, and know that each comes with its own personality, energy level, and needs. People tell me I'm not just a dog person but also someone dogs are drawn to. Cats have been a constant in my life just as long as dogs have. I know how to read their cues, respect their space, and earn their trust on their own terms. I genuinely love every stage of a pet's life and know how to meet each animal where they are, whether that's an energetic puppy, a curious cat, or a laid-back senior. I’ve worked in human crisis intervention for over 6 years, which means I stay calm under pressure and know how to respond quickly and clearly when something unexpected happens. That same steady, caring approach is what I bring to every pet I look after. I do Rover to supplement my nonprofit career, so when I take on your pet it's because I genuinely want to be here, not because I have to be. Your pet won't just be cared for, they'll feel right at home! I work from home on a flexible schedule that I primarily set myself, which means I'm present with your pet throughout the day rather than leaving them alone for long stretches. We have a fenced yard for outdoor time and can separate pets as needed, so your animal has a safe, comfortable space even with my own dogs in the home. My partner, Jen, is also available to support with pet care and walks if you are comfortable with Jen stepping in at times. Between both of our schedules, we can better accommodate recurring clients who need weekly care! There are photos of Jen at the end of my photo section. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priority. I treat every pet like they're my own. My home is pet-proofed with a fenced yard, and I can separate animals as needed so everyone has their own safe space alongside my own dogs. I always want to know your pet's routine, quirks, and preferences ahead of time so I can keep things as normal and comfortable as possible for them. With a lifetime of experience with dogs and cats of all ages and sizes, I'm confident handling whatever comes up, and my crisis intervention background means I stay calm and act fast if an emergency arises.

I’ve cared for many smalls to medium size dogs over the years and understand their routines, personalities, and needs. I have a clean, well-kept and very large, fenced yard and offer a calm, clean, and safe home with plenty of attention and gentle play. I enjoy hosting small to medium-sized dogs and treat every pup like part of the family. What is my drive? I host dogs, because I want a companion for my doggy, I enjoy spending time with dogs, and I am home every day of the week. I am available for boarding seven days a week and maintain a flexible schedule. I am home most of the day, allowing me to provide consistent supervision, care, and attention. I can often accommodate bookings on short notice and work with your schedule to ensure a smooth drop-off and pick-up experience. I provide a safe, clean, and calm home environment for all dogs. I have a large, fully fenced yard where dogs can run and play freely, along with a doggy door for easy outdoor access when appropriate. I only have one small, friendly dog at home, and I carefully introduce pets to ensure comfort and compatibility. Your dog will be supervised, cared for attentively, and treated like part of the family.
“Really lovely family and will choose them again when we come back! They took such good care of our baby and send lots of pictures and videos throughout the day. You could tell our dog really liked his time there. Thank you!!”

“Christiano is great with our dog. He is such a nice guy and you can tell he really cares about animals. We feel comfortable leaving our boy with him and know he's in good hands. It's really nice to have someone we can rely on when we need a dog sitter. He even was able to take our dog last minute/day of when we needed someone. “Yasmin was so incredibly great with my dog! I have a very hyper little dog and she was so patient and kind with him. She took him for long walks (even in this heatwave!) and made sure he had water after they were done. She also takes the cutest pictures that I have saved many to my phone. She even provides an update of how the walk went and what happened with her walking card which definitely going above and beyond. If you need a great dog walker I would highly recommend her because she is so amazing!”

“What a wonderful person! I was very worried because my son's dog is unruly and wants to eat other dogs. Kyla had the dog walking along as peaceful as can be. She was truely a blessing.”
“Merlette was so patient with our dog who was a little shy on the first visit. She’s also a great communicator and made the whole process easy. So relieved to have found someone who can walk our dog.”

“Michael was extremely responsive and accommodating of our very short-notice needs, and sensitive to the needs of our shy-of-strangers dog Latte. Would definitely call on him again!”

About: I'm super reliable, very patient and attentive when left in care of your fur babies I like to chill and lounge on the couch with them or go on long walks or spend time at the park P.s will follow special instructions if there is any needed to follow :)) For days that I have available for pet sittings I like to know if they will have a schedule to follow or not so I usually go by that but I have most days off with just gardening to do or stuff to do around the house/lounging or hiking/ running errands. I make sure to keep any toys, food or medication nearby. I’m comfortable caring for pets that may need more attention than others or that may be more independent.

“Allora was great! I only have positive things to say, Coco seemed so happy staying with her and her family. Allora sent me frequent updates and pictures which was great! I will definitely be boarding Coco with her again.”

“We are so grateful for Kaja to care for our pup on such short notice. Kaja was very trustworthy and sent us a lot of photos and nice texts to keep us informed of how everything was going. We look forward to asking Kaja to care for Lucky again!”

“Louis watched our dog for multiple days over Thanksgiving week, and was absolutely amazing. He gave super prompt communication and is very knowledgeable. We felt at ease during our trip knowing our dog was in good hands. Highly recommend Louis if you are in need of a great dog sitter!”

“We had a great experience with Sarita! She took care of our dog at her place for a week. She was super reliable, communicative (lots of great pics, videos, and updates), and our pup absolutely loved her and her family. Overall, we were at complete ease knowing our dog was with Sarita and we highly recommend her for any of your dog care needs!”

“Lanette and David took care of Heidi for a few days and it ended up being like a mini vacation for her! It was a pleasure meeting them during the meet and greet and it was nice to see that Heidi settled in easily at their place. It was our first time leaving Heidi at a sitter's house and they helped make the drop off go quickly and smoothly. When we arrived to pick her up at the end of the visit, it was clear that she felt very comfortable in their house and with them. Lanette and David have Heidi's seal of approval!”

“Jennifer is an excellent caregiver! Athena, our dog, is excited whenever she spends time with Jennifer. She is attentive, thoughtful and concerned about Athena's well being. Our family appreciates her updates, photos and videos of Athena. We highly recommend choosing Jennifer to take great care of your precious companion!”

“Such a great first dog sitting experience. Jonathan has such a calm and loving personality he was a perfect 4th of July dog sitter for my pup who can really struggle with fireworks. Very attentive sent photos daily of walks I will definitely reach out again and hope he is available”

“Rita was amazing with Purdy! They played with her and gave her all the attention Purdy wanted. Purdy was excited to come home but is definitely missing being with Rita. It was my first time using Rover and will definitely use it again solely because of Rita. Thanks Rita for taking good care of our Purdy.”

“Radha saved our family vacation to Spain! During our vacation, we found out that one of the required vaccinations for boarding at Wag Hotels (where he usually stays) was missing, and he had to be taken home. We were able to work with Radha at the last minute, and she took such good care of my Pembroke Welsh Corgi. She was sending me daily photos and videos of my dog while we were on vacation, which relieved so much stress and anxiety while vacationing. Radha was so wonderful, and now I have her as an option rather than sending him to a dog hotel. Thank you, Radha!”

“Luciana and Rob genuinely love pups, specifically pitties, and it’s such a relief to leave my girl with people who will treat her like family. They are super understanding and experienced with reactivity. Would love to work with them again!”

“This was our dog’s second time staying with Kiarash. Our dog had a great time! Also very grateful for being able to pick up our pup on the later side right when we flew home :) Definitely recommend!”

“Michael has taken care of our pup a few times now. He always takes great care of her, and we love that she has a friend to play with (his dog Mayzie) when she goes there. He communicates with us about how she is doing regularly throughout her stay there, and he even sends photos, which really gives us peace of mind. Thanks Michael!”

About: I have over 10 years of pet boarding experience. In my home are 2 cats, 1 pug and 1 turtle. My babies love when we have guests and truly enjoy the company as much as I do. I work great hours and not too long which leaves me with plenty of play time and 2 long walks a day. I spend most of my time at home which gives us plenty of quality time to hangout. There is a large patio on the second floor for sunbathing during the day while looking at a great view of the water. As well as 2 cats, 1 pug and a turtle who love company and everyone is free to roam the whole house but they do have their own fur baby room for space if they like.
“Monica is the best! She couldn’t have been more welcoming. My dog clearly loved Monica’s family and her dog. They went on daily walks and played in the yard at home. Just perfect. Many thanks!”
