At the last minute, I decided to book in-home check-ins while I was away for two weeks, and during that time, Dolly and Dawn truly became friends. Dawn kept in touch after every visit, giving me peace of mind while I was out of the country. What amazed me most is that Dolly, who once hid under the bed for years and only gradually began trusting me, was sitting on Dawn’s lap and letting her be petted within a week. That kind of connection takes a special touch. On top of that, Dawn went above and beyond-cleaning up a few hairball messes and even vacuuming daily near the litter box. “Christina is a fabulous cat sitter and person! We had a great meet and great where she played with both cats, made sure she understood their feeding routine, asked about treats/toys/cat brushes, and she is the only pet sitter we've had through Rover who asked about emergency care (if needed), so she could be prepared if necessary. She spent much more time than the "required" 30 minutes per visit and took a ton of photos and videos. We could tell she spent time playing with them and didn't just rush in and rush out. The litter boxes were kept very clean and she has a great sense of humor, always letting us know that the cats left "presents" in the box each day. She was comfortable adding supplements to their food, which vary day to day. Christina is also familiar with RVs/travel trailers and took great care of ours. She also went above and beyond by washing their bowls, vacuuming up cat hair and dried cat food, and cleaning up a hair ball. One of our cats vomited up her food and she made sure to let me know and even followed up after we got back to make sure she was ok. Christina is also an incredibly talented artist. She left us some drawings of both cats that we will cherish forever. She allowed us to have a great Thanksgiving vacation with no doubts that our cats were being well taken care of. We will absolutely use her again and again!!”

About: My name is Julie and my partner, Scotty and I (pictured above) have over 25 years of experience walking, sitting and caring for all animals, as well as luxury homes. We absolutely love all animals and enjoy spending every minute with them! We work with a variety of animals: dogs, cats, chickens, birds, horses, mules, ponies, reptiles (chameleons, lizards, snakes, turtles, tortoises, frogs all kinds), fish, rabbits, rodents (hamsters, guinea pigs, rats, mice) and exotic animals such as ferrets. We care for elderly pets, and have experience providing daily medication/injections. We can help to maintain the routine and love they are used to, so they will not feel alone while you are away. When booking with us, you will get two pet sitters for the price of one. Since one of us works remote, there is always someone to take care of your pets while you are gone. We do accept last minute requests and will make it happen if we can. Our home provides a safe, warm, welcoming environment for pet guests and there is a resident neutered male cattle dog mix, Snacks, as our companion ambassador to enrich any dog-guest's stay. I have volunteered at animal shelters since I was in high school. Family and friends have relied on me since I was very young to care for their pets. I am responsible, reliable, loving, and very caring. We are available for dog walks, house sitting, boarding at our house (we have a yard and live on a giant park/dog park), drop-ins, pet transport, pet errands and vet visits (complete with detailed reports). 🥰🐶🐾 We work from home and have a flexible schedule, which is ideal for petsitting. We're very active with multiple walks and park visits throughout the day. We love to spoil our pet-guests with trips to the beach to dig/play, hikes on nearby trails and plenty of enrichment activities (puzzles, lick mats, brain toys) throughout the day. We live on a huge park/fenced dog park and have plenty of room for dogs to play (indoors and outdoors). Our house is clutter free and has ample room for indoor play complete with enrichment activities/toys! We offer morning/afternoon/evening feedings. The goal is to keep their routine similar to their home routine! We give our dogs plenty of exercise and prefer to keep them uncrated if possible (unless they prefer their crate).

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was very young and worked at a kennel for 2 years caring for dogs of all sizes with many different needs. I am currently doing school from home and I also work from home so I am home pretty much all of the time and I love the extra company. I have a fenced yard and two other dogs with advanced obedience that I can keep separated from other animals as well. About: I have had dogs my entire life. My step dad was hired with the Ventura County Animal Shelter when we came to Ventura in 1973 and he brought home just about anything that came through the shelter doors. Before coming to Ventura, I was raised in a rural community and had all the farm animals. My family has been involved in animal rescue for many years. I regularly donate items to SPARC, CARL and Ventura County Animal Services. I had Boxers for several years, and my sweet Doxie Gemma passed away Oct 8, 2024. I currently have cats. I am retired so pet sitting/dog walking and drop in visits is a big part of my days and is my "retirement" job. I love it and enjoy every pet I get to interact with whether they stay in my home, or I go for drop in visits. I have a fenced yard and will always keep dogs leashed when we are outside of the yard/home. If the dog likes to go to the dog park, I will always ask permission before taking that activity on.

“Tian-Tian was an absolute lifesaver! We found ourselves in a difficult situation when our original dog sitter canceled on us the day before our vacation. We were scrambling to find a sitter who offered boarding and came across Tian-Tian's profile on Rover. Our dog is a rescue and has severe separation anxiety, so we are always nervous about leaving him with someone new. He is also very slow to warm up to people. Tian-Tian was incredibly accommodating and allowed us to have a meet-and-greet within an hour of contacting her. Within 20 minutes of meeting her, our anxious pup was eating out of her hand!
